До галатів 1
1 Павел апостол (не від людей і не через чоловіка, а через Ісуса Христа й Бога Отця, що воскресив Його з мертвих),
Paul, an apostle (not from men, neither through man, but through Jesus Christ, and God the Father, who raised him from the dead),
2 і все браттє, що зо мною, церквам Галацьким:
and all the brethren which are with me, unto the churches of Galatia:
3 Благодать вам і мир од Бога Отця і від Господа вашого Ісуса Христа,
Grace to you and peace from God the Father, and our Lord Jesus Christ,
4 що віддав себе за гріхи наші, щоб збавити нас від сього віку лукавого, по волї Бога й Отця нашого, (aiōn g165)
who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us out of this present evil world, according to the will of our God and Father: (aiōn g165)
to whom [be] the glory for ever and ever. Amen. (aiōn g165)
6 Дивуюсь, що так скоро одвернулись від покликавшого вас благодаттю Христовою на друге благовістє.
I marvel that ye are so quickly removing from him that called you in the grace of Christ unto a different gospel;
7 Воно то не друге, та в такі, що вами колотять, і хочуть перевернути благовістє Христове.
which is not another [gospel]: only there are some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.
8 Та, коли б і ми або ангел з неба проповідував вам більш того, що ми проповідували вам, нехай буде анатема.
But though we, or an angel from heaven, should preach unto you any gospel other than that which we preached unto you, let him be anathema.
9 Як перше рекли ми, так і тепер глаголю: коли хто благовіствує вам більш того, що ви прийняли, нехай буде анатема.
As we have said before, so say I now again, If any man preacheth unto you any gospel other than that which ye received, let him be anathema.
10 Бо чи людей я тепер впевняю (шукаю), чи Бога? чи людям шукаю вгодити? Бо коли б я ще людям угождав, то не був би слугою Христовим.
For am I now persuading men, or God? or am I seeking to please men? if I were still pleasing men, I should not be a servant of Christ.
11 Звіщаю ж вам, браттє, що благовістє, благовіщене від мене, не єсть по чоловіку.
For I make known to you, brethren, as touching the gospel which was preached by me, that it is not after man.
12 Анї бо від чоловіка не прийняв я його, анї не навчивсь, а через одкриттє Ісуса Христа.
For neither did I receive it from man, nor was I taught it, but [it came to me] through revelation of Jesus Christ.
13 Чували бо про життє мов колись у Жидівстві, що без міри гонив я церкву Божу, та руйнував її,
For ye have heard of my manner of life in time past in the Jews’ religion, how that beyond measure I persecuted the church of God, and made havock of it:
14 і передував я в Жидівстві перед многими ровесниками народу мого, будучи аж надто ревнителем отцївських моїх переказів.
and I advanced in the Jews’ religion beyond many of mine own age among my countrymen, being more exceedingly zealous for the traditions of my fathers.
15 Як же зводив Бог, що вибрав мене від утроби матери моєї, і покликав мене благодаттю своєю,
But when it was the good pleasure of God, who separated me, [even] from my mother’s womb, and called me through his grace,
16 відкрити в менї Сина свого, щоб я благовіствував Його між поганами, то зараз не радивсь я з тїлом і кровю,
to reveal his Son in me, that I might preach him among the Gentiles; immediately I conferred not with flesh and blood:
17 анї не вийшов у Єрусалим до тих, що були апостолами перш мене, а пійшов у Аравию, та й знов вернувсь у Дамаск.
neither went I up to Jerusalem to them which were apostles before me: but I went away into Arabia; and again I returned unto Damascus.
18 Потім через три роки пійшов я в Єрусалим, щоб побачитись із Петром, і пробув у нього пятнайцять день.
Then after three years I went up to Jerusalem to visit Cephas, and tarried with him fifteen days.
19 Инших же апостолів я не видїв, тільки Якова, брата Господнього.
But other of the apostles saw I none, save James the Lord’s brother.
20 Що ж пишу до вас, ось вам перед Богом, що не обманюю.
Now touching the things which I write unto you, behold, before God, I lie not.
21 Потім ходив я в сторони Сирські і Киликийські,
Then I came into the regions of Syria and Cilicia.
22 був же незнаний лицем церквам Жидівським у Христї,
And I was still unknown by face unto the churches of Judaea which were in Christ:
23 а тільки чували, що гонивший нас колись тепер благовіствуе віру, що колись руйнував,
but they only heard say, He that once persecuted us now preacheth the faith of which he once made havock;
24 і прославляли у мені Бога.
and they glorified God in me.
