1 Тимофію 2
1 Тим я молю перш усього творити благання, молитви, дякування за всїх людей,
I Exhort therefore, that first of all supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giuing of thanks be made for all men,
2 за царів і за всїх, що мають вдасть, щоб тихим і спокійним життєм нам жити у всякому благочесті і чистотї.
For Kings, and for all that are in authoritie, that we may leade a quiet and a peaceable life, in all godlinesse and honestie.
3 Се бо добре і приятно перед Спасителем нашим Богом,
For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Sauiour,
4 котрий хоче, щоб усї люде спасли ся і до розуміння правди прийшли.
Who will that all men shalbe saued, and come vnto the acknowledging of the trueth.
5 Один бо Бог і один посередник між Богом і людьми, чоловік Ісус Христос,
For there is one God, and one Mediatour betweene God and man, which is the man Christ Iesus,
6 що дав себе на викуп за всїх: сьвідкуваннє временами своїми.
Who gaue himselfe a ransome for all men, to be that testimonie in due time,
7 На се ж поставлено мене проповідником і апостолом (глаголю правду в Христї, а не неправду) учителем поган у вірі і правдї.
Whereunto I am ordeined a preacher and an Apostle (I speake the trueth in Christ, and lie not) euen a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and veritie.
8 Оце ж хочу, щоб молились чоловіки на всякому місці, здіймаючи вгору преподобні руки, без гнїва і змагання.
I will therefore that the men pray, euery where lifting vp pure hands without wrath, or douting.
9 Так само й жінки, чисто вбираючись, із соромом та з чистотою, щоб украшували себе, не заплїтаннєм, не золотом або перлами, або шатами предорогими,
Likewise also the women, that they aray themselues in comely apparell, with shamefastnes and modestie, not with broyded heare, or gold, or pearles, or costly apparell,
10 а (як подобає жінкам, що пристали на благочесте) дїлами добрими.
But (as becommeth women that professe the feare of God) with good workes.
11 Жінка мовчки нехай вчить ся усякої покори.
Let the woman learne in silence with all subiection.
12 Жінцї ж учити не велю, анї орудувати чоловіком, а бути в мовчанню.
I permit not a woman to teache, neither to vsurpe authoritie ouer the man, but to be in silence.
13 Адама бо перше створено, опісля ж Еву;
For Adam was first formed, then Eue.
14 і Адама не зведено; жінка ж, як зведено Її, була в переступі.
And Adam was not deceiued, but the woman was deceiued, and was in the transgression.
15 Спасеть ся ж ради родження дітей, коли пробувати ме в вірі та любові і в сьвятостї з чистотою.
Notwithstanding, through bearing of children she shalbe saued if they continue in faith, and loue, and holines with modestie.
