< Hesekiel 40 >

1 Yɛn nnommumfa afe a ɛtɔ so aduonu enum, afe no ahyɛaseɛ bosome ɛda a ɛtɔ so edu a ɛyɛ kuropɔn no asehweɛ afe a ɛtɔ so dunan no, saa ɛda no ara no Awurade nsa baa me so, na ɔde me kɔɔ hɔ.
In the twenty-fifth year of our captivity at the beginning of the year on the tenth day of the month, in the fourteenth year after the city was captured—on that same day, the hand of Yahweh was upon me and he took me there.
2 Onyankopɔn anisoadehunu mu no, ɔde me kɔɔ Israel asase so, na ɔde me kɔgyinaa bepɔ tenten bi so; nʼanafoɔ fam no na adan bi wɔ hɔ a ɛsɛ kuropɔn.
In visions from God he brought me to the land of Israel. He brought me to rest on a very high mountain; to the south were what appeared to be buildings of a city.
3 Ɔde me kɔɔ hɔ na mehunuu ɔbarima bi a ne tebea te sɛ kɔbere mfrafraeɛ; na ɔgyina ɔpono no ano, kura serekye ahoma ne susudua wɔ ne nsam.
Then he brought me there. Behold, a man! His appearance was like the appearance of bronze. A linen cord and a measuring stick were in his hand, and he stood in the city gate.
4 Ɔbarima yi ka kyerɛɛ me sɛ, “Onipa ba, fa wʼani hwɛ na fa wʼaso tie na biribiara a merebɛkyerɛ wo no, fa wʼadwene di akyire, ɛfiri sɛ ɛno enti na wɔde wo aba ha. Ka biribiara a wobɛhunu kyerɛ Israel efie.”
The man said to me, “Son of man, look with your eyes and listen with your ears, and fix your mind on all that I am revealing to you, for you were brought here so I could reveal them to you. Report everything that you will see to the house of Israel.”
5 Mehunuu ɔfasuo a atwa asɔredan no mfefaremu nyinaa ho ahyia. Susudua a ɛhyɛ ɔbarima no nsam no tenten yɛ anammɔn edu ne fa. Ɔsusuu ɔfasuo no hunuu sɛ ne pipiripie yɛ anammɔn edu ne fa, na ne ɔsorokɔ nso saa ara.
There was a wall surrounding the temple area. The length of the measuring stick in the man's hand was six long cubits. Each long cubit was a cubit and a handbreadth in length. So he measured the wall, and it was one measuring stick thick and one rod high.
6 Afei, ɔkɔɔ abɔntenpono a ɛkyerɛ apueeɛ fam no ano. Ɔforoo nʼatrapoe no na ɔsusuu aboboano na ne tɛtrɛtɛ yɛ anammɔn edu ne fa.
Then he went to the temple gate that faced east. He went up its steps and measured the threshold of the gate—one stick in depth.
7 Awɛmfoɔ adan no mu biara tentene mu yɛ anammɔn edu ne fa na ne tɛtrɛtɛ mu nso yɛ anammɔn edu ne fa. Afasuo ntiantia a ɛtwitwa awɛmfoɔ adan no ntam mu pipiripie yɛ anammɔn nson ne fa. Ntwonoo a anim kyerɛ asɔredan no aboboano ɛpono no tɛtrɛtɛ yɛ anammɔn edu ne fa.
The guard chambers were each one stick in length and one stick in width; there were five cubits between any two of the chambers, and the threshold of the temple gate by the temple portico was one stick deep.
8 Afei ɔsusuu ɛpono no ntwonoo;
He measured the portico of the gate; it was one stick in length.
9 na ne tentene mu yɛ anammɔn dumienu, na nʼadum mu biara nso pipiripie yɛ anammɔn mmiɛnsa. Ɛpono no ntwonoo anim hwɛ asɔredan no.
He measured the portico of the gate. It was one stick deep. The doorposts were two cubits in width. This was the portico of the gate facing the temple.
10 Na awɛmfoɔ adan mmiɛnsa mmiɛnsa wɔ apueeɛ ɛpono no benkum so ne nifa so; na ne nyinaa kɛseɛ yɛ pɛ na afasuo ntiantia a ɛtwitwa ntam no nso pipiripie yɛ pɛ.
There were three guard chambers on either side of the east gate, and each of them had the same measurement, and the walls that separated them had the same measurement.
11 Afei ɔsusuu abɔntenpono no ano ɛkwan, na ne tɛtrɛtɛ yɛ anammɔn dunum na ne tentene mu nso yɛ anammɔn dunkron ne fa.
Then the man measured the width of the gateway entrance—ten cubits; and he measured the length of the gateway entrance—thirteen cubits.
12 Awɛmfoɔ adan no mu biara anim wɔ ɔfasuo tiawa a ne sorokɔ yɛ ɔnamɔn ne fa, na awɛmfoɔ adan no mu biara yɛ ahinanan a ɔfa biara susu anammɔn edu ne fa.
He measured the wall that was bordering the front of the chambers—one cubit high. The chambers measured six cubits on each side.
13 Afei ɔsusuu ɛpono no firi awɛmfoɔ adan no mu baako ɔfasuo a ɛwɔ akyire no atifi kɔsii ɛdan a ɛne no di nhwɛanim no akyire ɔfasuo atifi; na ɛkwan a ɛda ntam yɛ anammɔn aduasa nson ne fa.
Then he measured the gateway from the roof of one chamber to that of the next chamber—twenty-five cubits, from the entrance of the first chamber to that of the second.
14 Ɔsusu faa afasuo ntiantia a ɛtwitwa awɛmfoɔ adan no ntam no nyinaa anim wɔ ɛpono ɛkwan no mu, na ɛyɛɛ anammɔn aduɔkron. Ntenemu no kɔsii ntwonoo a anim hwɛ adihɔ hɔ no.
Then he measured the wall that went between the guard chambers—sixty cubits in length; he measured as far as the gate's portico.
15 Ɛkwan a ɛfiri abɔntenpono aboboano kɔsi ntwonoo no tire yɛ anammɔn aduɔson enum.
The entrance from the front of the gate to the other end of the gate's portico was fifty cubits.
16 Awɛmfoɔ adan ne afasuo ntiantia a ɛtwitwa wɔn ntam wɔ abɔntenpono ɛkwan no mu no, na banbɔ mpomma nketenkete atwa ho ahyia, na saa ara na ntwonoo no mu teɛ, na ne nyinaa buebue kɔ mu. Afasuo ntiatia a ɛtwitwa awɛmfoɔ adan no ntam no, wɔakurukyire mmɛdua de asiesie anim.
There were closed windows toward the chambers and toward their pillars within the gates all around; and likewise for the porches. The were windows all around the inside, and each jamb was decorated with palm trees.
17 Afei ɔde me baa adihɔ a ɛda akyire hɔ. Ɛhɔ na mehunuu adan bi ne aboɔ nsɛweeɛ bi a ɛwɔ mfikyire adihɔ no ɔfasuo ase nyinaa; na adan no yɛ aduasa wɔ aboɔ nsɛweeɛ no akyi.
Then the man brought me to the outer courtyard of the temple. Behold, there were rooms, and there was pavement in the courtyard, with thirty rooms next to the pavement.
18 Na aboɔ nsɛweeɛ no trɛ firi apono no anim, na na ne tɛtrɛtɛ te sɛ ntwonoo no a ɛhyɛn adihɔ no tɛtrɛtɛ; yei ne aseɛ nsɛweeɛ no.
The pavement went up to the side of the gates, and its width was the same as the gates' length. This was the lower pavement.
19 Afei ɔsusuu ɛkwan a ɛfiri nhyɛnmu ɛpono a ɛdi ɛkan no de kɔsii ɛpono a ɛwɔ Kronkronbea no anim wɔ atifi fam; na ɛyɛ anammɔn ɔha ne aduonum firi apueeɛ de kɔsi atifi fam.
Then the man measured the distance from the front of the lower gate to the front of the inner gate; it was one hundred cubits on the east side, and the same on the north side.
20 Afei ɔsusuu ɛpono a ani hwɛ atifi fam na ɛpue mfikyire adihɔ no tentene ne ne tɛtrɛtɛ.
Then he measured the length and width of the gate that was at the north of the outer court.
21 Na awɛmfoɔ adan a mmiɛnsa wɔ afaafa, afasuo ntiawa a ɛtwitwa wɔn ntam ne ntwonoo no mfefaremu te sɛ ɔpono a ɛdi ɛkan no deɛ. Na ne tenten yɛ anammɔn aduɔson enum na ne tɛtrɛtɛ yɛ anammɔn aduasa nson ne fa.
There were three chambers on either side of that gate, and the gate and its portico measured the same as the main gate—fifty cubits in total length and twenty-five cubits in width.
Atwedeɛ no ne ntwonoo no di nhwɛanim.
Its windows, portico, chambers, and its palm trees corresponded to the gate that faced east. Seven steps went up to it and to its portico.
23 Na ɛpono bi wɔ hɔ a ɛkɔ mfimfini adihɔ a ɛne atifi fam ɛpono no di nhwɛanim, sɛdeɛ na ɛteɛ wɔ apueeɛ fam no. Ɔsusu firii ɛpono baako ano kɔsii deɛ ɛne no di nhweanim no ano; na ɛyɛ anammɔn ɔha ne aduonum.
There was a gate to the inner courtyard in front of the gate facing north, just as also there was a gate to the east; the man measured from one gate to the other gate—one hundred cubits in distance.
24 Afei ɔdii mʼanim de me kɔɔ anafoɔ fam, na mehunuu ɛpono a ani hwɛ anafoɔ fam no. Ɔsusuu nʼadum ne ntwonoo no, na wɔn nsusuiɛ te sɛ nkaeɛ no.

There were seven steps up to the gate and its portico, and there were carvings of palm trees on the walls on either side.

Its chambers, walls, and porticos measured the same as the other gates; there were windows all around in the portico. The inner gate and its portico measured fifty cubits in length and twenty-five cubits in width.
30 (Ɛpono no ntwonoo a wɔde kɔ mfimfini adihɔ no tentene yɛ anammɔn aduasa nson na ne tɛtrɛtɛ nso yɛ anammɔn nson ne fa.)
There were also porticos all around the inner wall; these were twenty-five cubits in length and five cubits in width.
