1 Afei ɔbɔfo a ɔto so anum no hyɛn ne torobɛnto. Mihuu nsoromma a atew fi ɔsoro abɛhwe asase so. Wɔmaa no ebun a ase nni awiei safe. (Abyssos g12)
And, the fifth messenger, sounded; and I saw a star, out of heaven, fallen unto the earth, and there was given unto him the key of the shaft of the abyss. (Abyssos g12)
2 Nsoromma no buee bun no, na wusiw kumɔnn fii mu sɛ fononoo kɛse bi, na wusiw no maa owia hann ne mframa a ɛwɔ hɔ no yɛɛ tumm. (Abyssos g12)
And he opened the shaft of the abyss; and there came up a smoke out of the shaft, as the smoke of a great furnace, and the sun and the air were darkened, by reason of the smoke of the shaft. (Abyssos g12)
3 Mmoadabi fii wusiw no mu baa asase so, na wɔmaa wɔn tumi sɛ nkekantwɛre.
And, out of the smoke, came forth, locusts, upon the earth; and there was given unto them licence, as the scorpions of the earth have licence.
4 Wɔka kyerɛɛ wɔn se wɔnnsɛe sare anaa nnua anaa afifide biara. Na mmom, nnipa a Onyankopɔn nsɔwano no bi nni wɔn moma so no de, wotumi haw wɔn.
And it was bidden them that they should not injure the herbage of the earth, nor any green thing, nor any tree, —but only the men who have not the seal of God upon their foreheads.
5 Wɔamma saa mmoadabi no kwan se wonkunkum saa nnipa yi. Na mmom, wɔmaa wɔn kwan se wɔnhaw wɔn asram anum. Wɔka wɔn a, wɔn ano yaw no te sɛ akekantwɛre de.
And it was given unto them, that they should not slay them, but that they should be tormented five months; and, the torture of them, was as of a scorpion’s torture, whensoever it smiteth a man.
6 Saa asram anum no mu no, saa nnipa no bɛhwehwɛ owu, nanso wɔrennya. Wɔbɛpɛ sɛ wowu, nanso owu beguan afi wɔn nkyɛn.
And, in those days, shall men seek death, and in nowise shall find it, and shall covet to die, and death fleeth from them.
7 Mmoadabi no te sɛ apɔnkɔ a wɔasiesie wɔn ama ɔko. Wɔwɔ biribi te sɛ sikakɔkɔɔ ahenkyɛw hyehyɛ wɔn ti. Na wɔn anim te sɛ nnipa anim.
And, the likenesses of the locusts, were like unto horses prepared for battle; and, upon their heads, as it were crowns, like unto gold, and, their faces, were as the faces of men,
8 Wɔn ti nwi te sɛ mmea ti nwi, na wɔn se nso te sɛ gyata se.
and, they had hair, as the hair of women, and, their teeth, were, as of lions,
9 Wɔde biribi te sɛ dade nkatabo akatakata wɔn bo. Na nnyigyei a wɔn ntaban yɛ no te sɛ apɔnkɔ bebree a wɔretwe nteaseɛnam akɔ ɔko.
and they had breastplates as breastplates of iron, and, the sound of their wings, was as the sound of chariots of many horses, running into battle;
10 Bɔre wɔwɔ wɔn dua ano te sɛ akekantwɛre de. Na wɔn dua no nti na na wɔwɔ tumi a wɔde haw nnipa asram anum no.
and they have tails like unto scorpions, and stings, and, in their tails, is their licence to injure men five months.
11 Wɔwɔ ɔhene a odi wɔn so, a ɔno ne ɔbɔfo a ɔhwɛ bun no so. Ne din wɔ Hebri kasa mu de “Abadon” na Hela kasa mu nso, ɛde “Apolion” (a ɛkyerɛ Ɔsɛefo). (Abyssos g12)
They have over them, as king, the messenger of the abyss, whose name, in Hebrew, is Abaddon, and, in the Greek, he hath for name, Destroyer. (Abyssos g12)
12 Ɔhaw baako atwa mu. Eyi akyi, ɔhaw abien bi bɛba.
The first, Woe, hath passed away, lo! there come, yet, two, Woes, after these things.
13 Afei ɔbɔfo a ɔto so asia no hyɛn ne torobɛnto. Metee nne bi fii sikakɔkɔɔ afɔremuka a esi Onyankopɔn anim no ntwea so nyinaa.
And, the sixth messenger, sounded; and I heard one voice, from among the horns of the altar of gold which is before God,
14 Nne no ka kyerɛɛ ɔbɔfo a ɔto so asia a okura torobɛnto no se, “Sansan abɔfo baanan a wɔasesa wɔn wɔ, Asubɔnten Eufrate ho no.”
saying unto the sixth messenger, who was holding the trumpet—Loose the four messengers, who are bound at the great river Euphrates.
15 Wɔsansan abɔfo baanan no. Wɔasiesie wɔn ama saa dɔnhwerew yi, saa da yi, saa ɔsram yi ne saa afe yi sɛ wonkunkum adesamma mu nkyɛmu abiɛsa mu baako.
And the four messengers were loosed, who had been prepared for the hour, and day, and month, and year, that they should slay the third of men.
16 Wodii asraafo ɔpepem ahannu anim. Wɔbɔɔ wɔn dodow no ho amanneɛ ma metee.
And, the number of the armies of the horsemen, was twice ten thousand times ten thousand—I heard the number of them.
17 Na mʼanisoadehu no mu no, mihuu apɔnkɔ no ne wɔn akafo. Na wɔn nkatabo no yɛ kɔɔ sɛ ogya, tumm, ne akokɔsrade sɛ sufre. Na ɔpɔnkɔ no ti te sɛ gyata ti na na ogya wusiw ne sufre fi wɔn anom.
And, thus, saw I the horses in the vision, —and them who were sitting upon them, having breastplates as of fire and hyacinth and brimstone; —and, the heads of the horses, were as heads of lions, and, out of their mouths, come forth fire and smoke and brimstone:
18 Saa ɔhaw ahorow abiɛsa no a ɛyɛ ogya, wusiw ne sufre no a efi apɔnkɔ no anom bae no kum adesamma nkyɛmu abiɛsa mu baako.
by these three plagues, were slain, the third part of mankind, by reason of the fire and the smoke and the brimstone, that proceedeth out of their mouths;
19 Efisɛ na apɔnkɔ no tumi nyinaa fi wɔn anom ne wɔn dua. Wɔn dua te sɛ awɔ a wɔwɔ ti a ɛno na na wɔde pira nnipa.
for, the licence of the horses, is, in their mouth, and in their tails, for, their tails, are like unto serpents, having heads, and, with them, they injure.
20 Adesamma a wɔkae no a ɔhaw no ankum wɔn no ansakra wɔn adwene amfi wɔn nsa ano nnwuma ho. Wɔannyae ahonhommɔne ne ahoni ne sika ne dwetɛ ne asanka ne abo ne nnua a enhu ade na ɛnte asɛm na entumi nnantew no som.
And, the rest of mankind who were not slain by these plagues, repented not of the works of their hands, —that they should not do homage unto the demons, nor unto the idols of gold and of silver and of copper and of stone and of wood, which can neither see nor hear nor walk;
21 Saa ara nso na wɔansakra wɔn adwene amfi wɔn awudi ne wɔn aduto ne wɔn aguamammɔ ne wɔn akorɔmmɔ ho.
Neither repented they of their murders, or of their sorceries, or of their lewdnesses, or of their thefts.
