1 Wɔde ma dwonkyerɛfo se wɔnto no “gittit” sanku nne so. Dawid dwom. Awurade, yɛn Awurade, wo din kɛseyɛ ada adi wiase mmaa nyinaa. Wode wʼanuonyam atimtim ɔsoro nohɔ,
[For the Chief Musician; on an instrument of Gath. A Psalm by David.] Jehovah, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth. You have put your glory upon the heavens.
2 mmofra ne nkokoaa mpo de wɔn ano kamfo wo, wʼatamfo nti; na wode bɔ atamfo ne aweretɔfo ano.
From the lips of children and infants you have established praise, because of your adversaries, that you might silence the enemy and the avenger.
3 Sɛ mehwɛ wo ɔsorosoro, wo nsateaa ano adwuma; ɔsram ne nsoromma a wode obiara asi nʼafa a,
When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars which you have set in place;
4 onipa ne hena a wokae no, na onipa ba nso ne hena a wʼani ku ne ho?
what is man, that you think of him, and the son of man that you care for him?
5 Wobɔɔ no ma ɔyɛɛ akumaa kakra sen abɔfo na wode wʼanuonyam ne nidi abɔ no abotiri.
For you have made him a little lower than the angels. You have crowned him with glory and honor,
6 Woyɛɛ no ɔsodifo maa wo nsa ano nnwuma wode nneɛma nyinaa ahyɛ nʼanan ase:
and you made him ruler over the works of your hands. You have put all things under his feet:
7 nguankuw ne anantwikuw nyinaa ne wuram mmoa nso,
all sheep and cattle, and also the wild animals,
8 wim nnomaa ne po mu mpataa, nea ɛnenam po mu akwan so nyinaa.
the birds of the sky, and the fish of the sea, whatever passes through the paths of the seas.
9 Awurade, yɛn Awurade, wo din yɛ kɛse wɔ asase nyinaa so!
Jehovah, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth.
