< Luka 19 >

1 Da bi a na Yesu retwa mu wɔ Yeriko no,
And he entered and was passing through Jericho.
2 ohuu ɔbarima bi wɔ hɔ a wɔfrɛ no Sakeo. Na Sakeo yɛ ɔtowgyeni panyin san yɛ osikani nso.
And behold, a man called by name Zacchæus; and he was a chief publican, and he was rich.
3 Bere a Yesu retwa mu no, Sakeo pɛɛ sɛ anka ohu no, nanso esiane sɛ na ɔyɛ onipa tiaa na wɔn a wodi Yesu akyi no dɔɔso nti, wanhu no.
And he sought to see Jesus who he was; and could not for the crowd, because he was little of stature.
4 Esiane sɛ na Sakeo nim sɛ Yesu bɛfa nnyedua bi a na esisi hɔ no ase nti, ɔyɛɛ ntɛm kɔforoo saa nnyedua no mu baako.
And he ran on before, and climbed up into a sycomore tree to see him: for he was to pass that way.
5 Bere a Yesu duu nnyedua no ase no, ɔmaa nʼani so huu no ka kyerɛɛ no se, “Sakeo, yɛ ntɛm na si fam na wo fi na nnɛ mɛtena.”
And when Jesus came to the place, he looked up, and said unto him, Zacchæus, make haste, and come down; for to-day I must abide at thy house.
6 Sakeo yɛɛ ntɛm sii fam de anigye gyee no fɛw so.
And he made haste, and came down, and received him joyfully.
7 Nnipa a wodi Yesu akyi no huu eyi no, wonwiinwii kae se, “Ɔdebɔneyɛni yi na wakɔ akɔsoɛ no.”
And when they saw it, they all murmured, saying, He is gone in to lodge with a man that is a sinner.
8 Bere a nnipa no renwiinwii no, Sakeo begyinaa Yesu nkyɛn kae se, “Awurade, nnɛ, mede mʼahode mu fa kyɛ ahiafo, na sɛ masisi obi wɔ biribi mu a, metua mmɔho anan ama no.”
And Zacchæus stood, and said unto the Lord, Behold, Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor; and if I have wrongfully exacted aught of any man, I restore fourfold.
9 Yesu ka kyerɛɛ no se, “Nnɛ na nkwagye aba ofi yi mu, efisɛ oyi nso yɛ Abraham ba.
And Jesus said unto him, To-day is salvation come to this house, forasmuch as he also is a son of Abraham.
10 Na mebae sɛ merebɛhwehwɛ wɔn a wɔayera na magye wɔn nkwa.”
For the Son of man came to seek and to save that which was lost.
11 Bere a Yesu ne nnipa no rebɛn Yerusalem no, ɔsan buu wɔn bɛ foforo de kyerɛɛ wɔn se, Onyankopɔn ahenni no abɛn.
And as they heard these things, he added and spake a parable, because he was nigh to Jerusalem, and [because] they supposed that the kingdom of God was immediately to appear.
12 Ɔkae se, “Ɔdehye bi a watu kwan akɔ akyirikyiri asase bi so san kɔɔ ne kurom se ɔrekɔ na wɔakosi no ɔhene.
He said therefore, A certain nobleman went into a far country, to receive for himself a kingdom, and to return.
13 Ansa na ɔrebefi nʼakwantu no ase no, ɔfrɛɛ nʼadwumayɛfo mu du maa wɔn mu biara minadu ka kyerɛɛ wɔn se, ‘Momfa sika yi nyɛ adwuma nkosi sɛ mɛba.’
And he called ten servants of his, and gave them ten pounds, and said unto them, Trade ye [herewith] till I come.
14 “Kurom hɔfo no tee nʼahenni no ho asɛm no, wotuu nnipa kohuu mpanyimfo no se wɔmpɛ no.
But his citizens hated him, and sent an ambassage after him, saying, We will not that this man reign over us.
15 “Nanso wosii no hene ma ɔsan kɔɔ faako a na ɔyɛ adwuma no. Odui no, ɔfrɛɛ nʼadwumayɛfo du no se, wommebu sika a ɔde maa wɔn no ho akontaa nkyerɛ no.
And it came to pass, when he was come back again, having received the kingdom, that he commanded these servants, unto whom he had given the money, to be called to him, that he might know what they had gained by trading.
16 “Odwumayɛni a odii kan ba bɛka kyerɛɛ no se, ‘Me wura, wo sika mina du no, mede ayɛ adwuma anya ho mmɔho du.’
And the first came before him, saying, Lord, thy pound hath made ten pounds more.
17 “Owura no ka kyerɛɛ no se, ‘Mo, akoa pa, esiane sɛ woadi kakraa a mede hyɛɛ wo nsa no ho nokware nti, mede nkurow du bɛhyɛ wʼase na woadi so.’
And he said unto him, Well done, thou good servant: because thou wast found faithful in a very little, have thou authority over ten cities.
18 “Odwumayɛni a ɔto so abien no ba bɛka kyerɛɛ no se, ‘Me wura, wo sika mina du no, mede ayɛ adwuma anya ho mmɔho anum.’
And the second came, saying, Thy pound, Lord, hath made five pounds.
19 “Owura no ka kyerɛɛ no se, ‘Mede nkurow anum bɛhyɛ wʼase na woadi so.’
And he said unto him also, Be thou also over five cities.
20 “Ɔfoforo nso bɛkae se, ‘Me wura wo sika mina du a wode maa me no, mede siei, ɛno ni.
And another came, saying, Lord, behold, [here is] thy pound, which I kept laid up in a napkin:
21 Na misuro wo, efisɛ wo ho yɛ nwonwa. Nea ɛnyɛ wo dea no, wugye na nea wunnuae nso no, wutwa.’
for I feared thee, because thou art an austere man: thou takest up that which thou layedst not down, and reapest that which thou didst not sow.
22 “Ne wura no buaa no se, ‘Akoa bɔne, wo anom asɛm so na migyina abu wo atɛn. Wunim sɛ me ho yɛ nwonwa. Nea ɛnyɛ me dea no migye; nea minnuae no, mitwa.
He saith unto him, Out of thine own mouth will I judge thee, thou wicked servant. Thou knewest that I am an austere man, taking up that which I laid not down, and reaping that which I did not sow;
23 Adɛn nti na woamfa me sika no ankɔto sikakorabea? Anka mebae yi menya ho nsiho.’
then wherefore gavest thou not my money into the bank, and I at my coming should have required it with interest?
24 “Ɔka kyerɛɛ nʼasomfo a na wogyina hɔ no se, ‘Munnye sika no mfi ne nsam mfa mma nea ɔde ne de yɛɛ adwuma nyaa mmɔho du no.’
And he said unto them that stood by, Take away from him the pound, and give it unto him that hath the ten pounds.
25 “Asomfo no kae se, ‘Yɛn wura, sɛ oyi de ɔwɔ sika bebree!’
And they said unto him, Lord, he hath ten pounds.
26 “Owura no kae se, ‘Merema mo ate ase sɛ, nea ɔwɔ bebree no, wɔbɛma no bi aka ho, na nea ɔwɔ kakraa bi no, nea ɔwɔ mpo no, wobegye afi ne nsam.
I say unto you, that unto every one that hath shall be given; but from him that hath not, even that which he hath shall be taken away from him.
27 Na afei, momfa mʼatamfo a anka wɔmpɛ sɛ midi ade no mmra mʼanim ha na munkum wɔn!’”
But these mine enemies, that would not that I should reign over them, bring hither, and slay them before me.
28 Yesu kaa nsɛm yi wiee no, odii nʼasuafo no kan kɔɔ Yerusalem.
And when he had thus spoken, he went on before, going up to Jerusalem.
29 Ɔrebɛn Betfage ne Betania a ɛbɛn Ngo Bepɔw so no, ɔsomaa nʼasuafo no mu baanu ka kyerɛɛ wɔn se,
And it came to pass, when he drew nigh unto Bethphage and Bethany, at the mount that is called Olivet, he sent two of the disciples,
30 “Monkɔ akuraa a ɛbɛn ha no ase na mudu hɔ a, mubehu afurum ba bi a obiara ntenaa ne so da sɛ wɔasa no. Monsan no mfa no mmrɛ me.
saying, Go your way into the village over against [you]; in which as ye enter ye shall find a colt tied, whereon no man ever yet sat: loose him, and bring him.
31 Sɛ obi bisa se ‘Adɛn nti na moresan no’ a, monka nkyerɛ no se, ‘Ne ho hia Awurade.’”
And if any one ask you, Why do ye loose him? thus shall ye say, The Lord hath need of him.
32 Asuafo baanu a wɔkɔe no kohuu aboa no sɛ ɔsa hɔ sɛnea Yesu kae no.
And they that were sent went away, and found even as he had said unto them.
33 Bere a wɔresan afurum ba no, ne wuranom bisaa wɔn se, “Adɛn nti na moresan aboa no?”
And as they were loosing the colt, the owners thereof said unto them, Why loose ye the colt?
34 Wobuaa wɔn se, “Ne ho hia Awurade.”
And they said, The Lord hath need of him.
35 Asuafo no de afurum ba no brɛɛ Yesu de wɔn ntama sesɛw ne so ma ɔtenaa ne so.
And they brought him to Jesus: and they threw their garments upon the colt, and set Jesus thereon.
36 Yesu te afurum ba no so rekɔ no, nnipa de wɔn ntama sesɛw ɔkwan no so ma ɔfaa so.
And as he went, they spread their garments in the way.
37 Oduu Ngo Bepɔw no so baabi a wɔrebesian akɔ Yerusalem no, nʼakyidifo no nyinaa de osebɔ kamfoo Onyankopɔn, yii no ayɛ wɔ Yesu anwonwade ahorow a wayɛ no ho se,
And as he was now drawing nigh, [even] at the descent of the mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works which they had seen;
38 “Nhyira nka ɔhene a ɔreba Awurade din mu no!” “Asomdwoe ne anuonyam nka Onyankopɔn wɔ ɔsorosoro nohɔ!”
saying, Blessed [is] the King that cometh in the name of the Lord: peace in heaven, and glory in the highest.
39 Farisifo no bi a na wɔfra nnipakuw no mu no ka kyerɛɛ Yesu se, “Kyerɛkyerɛfo, kasa kyerɛ wʼakyidifo no na wommua wɔn ano!”
And some of the Pharisees from the multitude said unto him, Teacher, rebuke thy disciples.
40 Yesu buaa wɔn se, “Sɛ womua wɔn ano koraa a, abo mpo bɛkamfo me, ayi me ayɛ.”
And he answered and said, I tell you that, if these shall hold their peace, the stones will cry out.
41 Yesu rebɛn Yerusalem a ohuu kurow no, osu maa mu nnipa no se,
And when he drew nigh, he saw the city and wept over it,
42 “Mo a anka asomdwoe yɛ mo dea nanso moampɛ no, mobɛhwehwɛ asomdwoe akyi kwan, nanso mo nsa renka da!
saying, If thou hadst known in this day, even thou, the things which belong unto peace! but now they are hid from thine eyes.
43 Nna bi bɛba a mo atamfo bɛba abɛtoa mo aka mo ahyɛ,
For the days shall come upon thee, when thine enemies shall cast up a bank about thee, and compass thee round, and keep thee in on every side,
44 atɔre mo ne mo mma ase, asɛe mo kurow yi pasaa, efisɛ moapo adom a Onyankopɔn de adom mo no.”
and shall dash thee to the ground, and thy children within thee; and they shall not leave in thee one stone upon another; because thou knewest not the time of thy visitation.
45 Yesu duu Yerusalem no, ɔkɔɔ asɔredan mu kɔpam nnipa a na wɔredi gua wɔ hɔ no kae se,
And he entered into the temple, and began to cast out them that sold,
46 “Wɔakyerɛw se, ‘Me fi bɛyɛ mpaebɔbea; nanso mode ayɛ adwowtwafo atenae!’”
saying unto them, It is written, And my house shall be a house of prayer: but ye have made it a den of robbers.
47 Saa bere no nyinaa na asɔfo mpanyimfo, Kyerɛwsɛm no akyerɛkyerɛfo ne ɔman no mu mpanyimfo rehwehwɛ ɔkwan a wɔbɛfa so anya no akyere no akum no.
And he was teaching daily in the temple. But the chief priests and the scribes and the principal men of the people sought to destroy him:
48 Nanso na wonhu ɔkwan biara a wɔbɛfa so akyere no, efisɛ bere nyinaa na nnipa akyere no so retie no.
and they could not find what they might do; for the people all hung upon him, listening.
