< Yohane 3 >

1 Anadwo bi, ɔbarima bi a ɔyɛ Yudafo mpanyimfo no mu baako a wɔfrɛ no Nikodemo a ɔsan yɛ Farisini no,
There was however, a man from among the Pharisees, Nicodemus, his name, —ruler of the Jews.
2 kɔɔ Yesu nkyɛn kɔka kyerɛɛ no se, “Kyerɛkyerɛfo, yenim sɛ Onyankopɔn na ɔsomaa wo, efisɛ obiara ntumi nyɛ nsɛnkyerɛnne a woyɛ yi gye sɛ Onyankopɔn ka ne ho.”
The same, came unto him, by night, and said unto him—Rabbi! we know that, from God, thou hast come, a teacher; for, no one, can be doing, these signs, which, thou, art doing, except, God, be with him.
3 Yesu buaa no se, “Merema woate ase sɛ, sɛ wɔanwo wo foforo a worentumi nkɔ Onyankopɔn ahenni no mu.”
Jesus answered, and said unto him—Verily, verily, I say unto thee: Except one be born from above, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
4 Nikodemo bisaa no se, “Ɛbɛyɛ dɛn na me abasiriwa yi betumi akɔ me na yam ama wawo me bio?”
Nicodemus saith unto him—How, can a man be born, when he is, old? Can he, into the womb of his mother, a second time, enter, and be born?
5 Yesu nso buaa no se, “Mereka nokware akyerɛ wo se sɛ wɔamfi nsu ne Honhom mu anwo obi a, ɔrentumi nkɔ Onyankopɔn ahenni no mu.
Jesus answered—Verily, verily, I say unto thee: Except one be born of water and spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
6 Nea wofi ɔhonam mu awo no no yɛ ɔhonam na nea wofi Honhom mu awo no no yɛ honhom.
That which hath been born of the flesh, is, flesh, and, that which hath been born of the spirit, is, spirit.
7 Mma ɛnyɛ wo nwonwa sɛ maka se ɛsɛ sɛ wɔwo wo foforo!
Do not marvel, that I said unto thee: Ye must needs be born from above.
8 Sɛnea wote mframa nka, nanso wuntumi nkyerɛ faako a efi ba ne faako a ɛbɔ kɔ no, saa ara na Honhom mu awo no nso te.”
The spirit, where it pleaseth, doth breathe, and, the sound thereof, thou hearest; but knowest not, whence it cometh and whither it goeth: Thus, is every one who hath been born of the spirit.
9 Nikodemo bisaa no se, “Ɛbɛyɛ dɛn na eyi aba mu?”
Nicodemus answered, and said unto him—How, can these things, come about?
10 Yesu buaa no se, “Wo, ɔkyerɛkyerɛfo a wudi mu wɔ Israel na wonte eyi ase?
Jesus answered, and said unto him—Art, thou, the teacher of Israel, and, these things, knowest not?
11 Nea yenim ne nea yɛahu na yɛreka akyerɛ mo yi, nanso munnye yɛn nni.
Verily, verily, I say unto thee: What we know, we speak, and, of what we have seen, we bear witness, and, our witness, ye receive not.
12 Sɛ meka asase yi so nsɛm kyerɛ mo na munnye nni a, ɛbɛyɛ dɛn na sɛ meka ɔsoro nsɛm kyerɛ mo a mubegye adi?
If, the earthly things, I told you, and ye believe not, How, if I should tell you the heavenly things, will ye believe?
13 Obiara nkɔɔ ɔsoro da agye nea ofi ɔsoro bae no—Onipa Ba no.
And, no one, hath ascended into heaven, save he that, out of heaven, descended, —The Son of Man.
14 Sɛnea Mose maa ɔwɔ sɛso a wɔde kɔbere ayɛ no so sɛn dua so wɔ sare so no, saa ara na me nso wɔbɛma me so,
And, just as, Moses, lifted up the serpent in the desert, so, must, the Son of Man, be lifted up, —
15 na obiara a ogye me di no benya nkwa a enni awiei. (aiōnios g166)
That, whosoever believeth in him, may have life age-abiding. (aiōnios g166)
16 “Na sɛnea Onyankopɔn dɔɔ wiase ni, sɛ ɔde ne Ba a ɔwoo no koro no mae, na obiara a ogye no di no nyera na wanya nkwa a enni awiei. (aiōnios g166)
For God, so loved, the world, that, his Only Begotten Son, he gave, —that, whosoever believeth on him, might not perish, but have life age-abiding. (aiōnios g166)
17 Onyankopɔn ansoma ne Ba amma wiase sɛ ommebu wiase atɛn, na mmom ɔsomaa no se ommegye wiase nkwa.
For God, sent not, his Son into the world, that he might judge the world, but, that the world might be saved through him.
18 Obiara a ogye ɔba no di no, wɔremmu no atɛn; na nea onnye no nni no, wɔabu no atɛn dedaw, efisɛ wannye Onyankopɔn Ba koro no anni.
He that believeth on him, is not to be judged: he that believeth not, already, hath been judged, —because he hath not believed on the name of the Only Begotten Son of God.
19 Nea Onyankopɔn gyina so bu atɛn ne sɛ: Hann no aba wiase nanso nnipa ani gye sum ho sen Hann no, efisɛ wɔn nneyɛe nyinaa yɛ bɔne.
And, this, is the judgment: That, the light, hath come into the world, —and men loved, rather the darkness than the light, for, wicked, were their, works.
20 Ɔdebɔneyɛni biara mpɛ Hann no, na ɔremmɛn Hann no, efisɛ osuro sɛ ne nneyɛe bɔne no bɛda adi.
For, whosoever doth practise corrupt things, hateth the light, and cometh not unto the light, lest his works should be reproved;
21 Na nea ɔyɛ Onyame apɛde no ba Hann no mu na obiara ahu sɛ ɔyɛ Onyame apɛde.”
But, he that doeth the truth, cometh unto the light, that his works may be, made manifest, that, in God, have they been wrought.
22 Eyi akyi no Yesu ne nʼasuafo no fii Yerusalem kɔɔ Yudea akuraa bi ase kɔtenaa hɔ kakra bɔɔ asu wɔ hɔ.
After these things, came Jesus, and his disciples, into the Judaean land; and, there, was he tarrying with them, and immersing.
23 Saa bere no ara na Yohane nso rebɔ asu wɔ Ainon a ɛbɛn Salim, efisɛ na nsuwansuwa wɔ hɔ. Nnipa pii baa ne nkyɛn ma ɔbɔɔ wɔn asu.
And John also was immersing in Aenon, near to him, because, many waters, were there; and they were coming, and being immersed; —
24 Saa bere no na wɔmfaa Yohane ntoo afiase ɛ.
for, not yet, had John been cast into prison.
25 Da bi, Yohane akyidifo bi ne Yudani bi gyee akyinnye faa ahodwira ho.
There arose, therefore, a questioning, from among the disciples of John, with a Jew, —concerning purification.
26 Enti asuafo no kɔɔ Yohane nkyɛn kɔka kyerɛɛ no se, “Kyerɛkyerɛfo, ɔbarima bi a na ɔwɔ wo nkyɛn wɔ Yordan fa nohɔ no a wudii ne ho adanse no nso rebɔ asu na nnipa pii rekɔ ne nkyɛn.”
And they came unto John, and said unto him—Rabbi! he who was with thee beyond the Jordan, unto whom, thou, hast borne witness, see! the same, is immersing; and, all, are coming unto him.
27 Yohane buae se, “Obi rentumi nni dwuma a ɛte saa gye sɛ Onyame ka ne ho.
John answered, and said—A man can receive, nothing, except it have been given him out of heaven.
28 Mo ara mudi me adanse sɛ meka kyerɛɛ mo se, ‘Ɛnyɛ me ne Kristo no na mmom wɔasoma me adi nʼanim kan.’
Ye yourselves, unto me, bear witness, that, I, said—I, am not the Christ; but—I am sent before, That One.
29 Adamfo a ɔboa ayeforokunu no wɛn nʼaso twɛn no na sɛ ɔte ne nne a, nʼani gye. Ɛno nti na mʼanigye wie pɛyɛ no.
He that hath the bride, is, bridegroom; but, the friend of the bridegroom, who standeth by and hearkeneth unto him, greatly, rejoiceth, by reason of the voice of the bridegroom. This, my joy, therefore, is fulfilled.
30 Ɛsɛ sɛ ɔyɛ ɔkɛse na me nso meyɛ ɔketewa.
That One, it behoveth to increase, —but, me, to decrease.
31 “Nea ofi ɔsoro aba no yɛ ɔkɛse sen obiara; Nea ofi asase so no yɛ wiaseni na ɔkasa sɛ wiaseni.
He that, from above, doth come, over all, is: he that is of the earth, of the earth, is, and, of the earth, doth speak: he that, out of heaven, doth come, over all, is,
32 Ɔsoroni no ka nea wahu ne nea wate, nanso obiara nnye no nni.
What he hath seen and heard, of, the same, he beareth witness, —and, his witness, no one, receiveth: —
33 Wɔn a wogye no di no di adanse sɛ, Onyankopɔn yɛ ɔnokwafo.
He that hath received his witness, hath set seal—that, God, is, true.
34 Nea Onyankopɔn asoma no no ka Onyankopɔn asɛm, efisɛ Onyankopɔn de ne Honhom ahyɛ no ma.
For, he whom God hath sent, the sayings of God, doth speak; for, not by measure, giveth he the Spirit.
35 Agya no dɔ ne Ba no nti ɔde biribiara so tumi ahyɛ ne nsa.
The Father, loveth the Son, and, all things, hath given into his hand.
36 Nea ogye Ɔba no di no benya nkwa a ɛnsa da, na nea onnye no nni no rennya nkwa a ɛnsa da, na mmom Onyankopɔn asotwe da no so.” (aiōnios g166)
He that believeth on the Son, hath life age-abiding: whereas, he that yieldeth not unto the Son, shall not see life, —but, the anger of God, awaiteth him. (aiōnios g166)
