1 Nea ɛfa yɛn Awurade Yesu Kristo ba a ɔrebɛba ne boa a wɔbɛboaboa yɛn ano akɔka ne ho no ho no, mesrɛ mo anuanom,

But we request you, brethren, —in behalf of the Presence of our Lord Jesus Christ, and our gathering together unto him,

That ye be not quickly tossed from your mind, nor be put in alarm—either by spirit, or by discourse, or by letter as by us, as that the day of the Lord, hath set in:

That no one may cheat, you, in any one respect. Because [that day will not set in] —except the revolt come first, and there he revealed the man of lawlessness, the son of destruction,

The one who opposeth and exalteth himself on high against every one called God, or an object of worship; so that he, within the sanctuary of God, shall take his seat, showeth himself forth, that he is, God: —

Remember ye not, that, while I was yet with you, these very things, I was telling you?

And, what now restraineth, ye know, to the end he may be revealed in his own fitting time;

7 Ɔbɔnefo no di ne dwuma dedaw na nea ɛbɛba no remma da, gye sɛ wɔayi nea okura ne mu no afi hɔ ansa.

For, the secret, of lawlessness, already, is inwardly working itself, —only, until, he that restraineth at present, shall be gone, out of the midst:

8 Ɛno ansa na ɔbɔnefo no bɛba, na Awurade Yesu nam nʼanom home so betu no agu, na ɔde ne ba a ɔbɛba no mu anuonyam asɛe no.

And, then, shall be revealed the lawless one, —whom, the Lord [Jesus], will slay with the Spirit of his mouth, and paralyse with the forthshining of his Presence: —

9 Ɔbɔnefo no nam ɔbonsam tumi so na ɛbɛba na wabɛyɛ anwonwade ne nsɛnkyerɛnne,

Whose, presence, [shall be] according to an inworking of Satan, with all manner of mighty work and signs and wonders of falsehood,

10 na ɔnam bɔne so adaadaa wɔn a wɔbɛyera no. Wɔbɛyera, efisɛ wɔannye nokware no anto mu, annɔ nokware no amma wɔannya nkwa.

And with all manner of deceit of unrighteousness, in them who are destroying themselves, because, the love of the truth, they did not welcome, that they might be saved; —

11 Eyi nti, Onyankopɔn resoma nnaadaa tumi ma akɔhyɛ wɔn mu ama wɔagye nsɛm a ɛnyɛ nokware no adi.

And, for this cause, God sendeth them an inworking of error, to the end they should believe in the falsehood, —

12 Awiei no ara ne sɛ wobebu wɔn a wonnye nokware no nni na wɔn ani gye bɔne ho no atɛn.

In order that should be judged who would not believe in the truth, but were well-pleased with the unrighteousness.

13 Anuanom, ɛsɛ sɛ bere biara yɛda Onyankopɔn ase ma mo a Awurade dɔ mo no. Efisɛ ɛnam Honhom no tumi so na Onyankopɔn yii mo sɛ nnipa a mudi kan a wobegye mo nkwa na wɔayɛ mo Onyankopɔn nkurɔfo kronkron wɔ mo gyidi a mowɔ wɔ nokware mu no mu.

But, we, are bound to give thanks unto God continually concerning you, brethren beloved by the Lord, for that God chose you, from the beginning, unto salvation, in sanctification of spirit and belief of truth, —

14 Onyankopɔn nam Asɛmpa no so frɛɛ mo sɛnea mo ne Awurade Yesu Kristo bɛtena nʼanuonyam no mu.

Unto which he called you, through means of our glad-message, unto an acquiring of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.

15 Enti anuanom, munnyina pintinn na monka mo ho mmata nokware a yɛkyerɛɛ mo wɔ asɛnka ne yɛn nhoma no mu no ho.

Hence, then, brethren, stand firm, and hold fast the instructions which ye were taught—whether through discourse, or through our letter.

16 Yɛn Awurade Yesu Kristo no ankasa ne yɛn Agya Onyankopɔn a ɔdɔ yɛn na ɔnam nʼadom mu ahyɛ yɛn daa nkuran ne anidaso pa no, (aiōnios g166)

But may, our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and our God and Father, —Who hath loved you, and given you age-abiding consolation and good hope by favour, (aiōnios g166)

17 nkyekye mo werɛ, na ɔnhyɛ mo den wɔ asɛm ne adwuma pa nyinaa mu.
