1 Hesekia dii hene wɔ Yuda no, na wadi mfe aduonu anum. Na odii ade mfe aduonu akron wɔ Yerusalem. Na ne na yɛ Sakaria babea a ne din de Abia.
Hezekiah began to reign when he was twenty-five years old; he reigned twenty-nine years in Jerusalem. His mother's name was Abijah; she was the daughter of Zechariah.
2 Ɔyɛɛ nea ɛsɔ Awurade ani, sɛnea nʼagya Dawid yɛe pɛpɛɛpɛ.
He did what was right in the eyes of Yahweh, just as David his father had done.
3 Afe a edi kan wɔ nʼahenni mu, ɔsram a edi kan no, Hesekia buebuee Awurade Asɔredan apon no, siesiee no.
In the first year of his reign, in the first month, Hezekiah opened the doors of the house of Yahweh and repaired them.
4 Ɔfrɛfrɛɛ asɔfo no ne Lewifo no sɛ, wommehyia no wɔ Asɔredan no adiwo a ɛwɔ apuei fam hɔ.
He brought in the priests and the Levites, and gathered them together into the courtyard on the east side.
5 Ɔka kyerɛɛ wɔn se, “Lewifo, muntie me! Munnwira mo ho, na munnwira Awurade, mo agyanom Nyankopɔn Asɔredan no nso. Munyiyi biribiara a efi aka no mfi kronkronbea hɔ.
He said to them, “Listen to me, you Levites! Consecrate yourselves, and consecrate the house of Yahweh, the God of your ancestors, and carry away the filthiness from the holy place.
6 Yɛn agyanom anni nokware, na wɔyɛɛ bɔne wɔ Awurade, yɛn Nyankopɔn anim. Wogyaw Awurade ne nʼAsɔredan no; wɔdan wɔn akyi kyerɛɛ no.
For our ancestors trespassed and did what was evil in the sight of Yahweh our God; they forsook him, turned away their faces from the place where Yahweh lives, and turned their backs on it.
7 Afei, wɔtotoo Asɔredan no ntwironoo apon mu, dunum akanea no. Wogyaee nnuhuamhyew, gyaee ɔhyew afɔrebɔde a wɔde ba Israel Nyankopɔn, kronkronbea hɔ no.
Also they shut up the doors of the porch and put out the lamps; they did not burn incense or offer burnt offerings in the holy place to the God of Israel.
8 Ɛno nti na Awurade abufuw aba Yuda ne Yerusalem so no. Wama yɛadan ahufo, ayamhyehyefo ne aserewde, sɛnea muhu no pefee no.
Therefore the wrath of Yahweh had fallen on Judah and Jerusalem, and he has made them to be an object of terror, of horror, and of scorn, as you can see with your own eyes.
9 Wɔakunkum yɛn agyanom wɔ ɔko mu, na wɔakyekyere yɛn mmabarima, yɛn mmabea ne yɛn yerenom sɛ nneduafo.
This is why our fathers have fallen by the sword, and our sons, our daughters, and our wives are in captivity for this.
10 Nanso mprempren, me ne Awurade, Israel Nyankopɔn bɛyɛ apam sɛnea nʼabufuwhyew no befi yɛn so.
Now it is in my heart to make a covenant with Yahweh, the God of Israel, so that his fierce anger may turn away from us.
11 Me mma, afei monnto mo nnwuma asaworam. Awurade ayi mo sɛ munnyina nʼanim nsom no, na munni ɔmanfo anim nsom no na monhyew nnuhuam.”
My sons, do not be lazy now, for Yahweh has chosen you to stand before him, to worship him, and that you should be his servants and burn incense.”
12 Afei saa Lewifo yi hyɛɛ dwumadi no ase. Wɔn a wofi Kohat abusua mu no yɛ: Amasai babarima Mahat ne Asaria babarima Yoel. Wɔn a wofi Merari abusua mu no yɛ: Abdi babarima Kis ne Yehalelel babarima Asaria. Wɔn a wofi Gerson abusua mu yɛ: Sima babarima Yoa ne Yoa babarima Eden;
Then the Levites arose: Mahath son of Amasai, and Joel son of Azariah, of the people of the Kohathites; and of the people of Merari, Kish son of Abdi, and Azariah son of Jehallelel; and of the Gershonites, Joah son of Zimmah, and Eden son of Joah;
13 Wɔn a wofi Elisafan abusua mu yɛ: Simri ne Yeiel. Wɔn a wofi Asaf abusua mu yɛ: Sakaria ne Matania.
of the sons of Elizaphan, Shimri and Jeuel; and of the sons of Asaph, Zechariah and Mattaniah;
14 Wɔn a wofi Heman abusua mu yɛ: Yehiel ne Simei. Wɔn a wofi Yedutun abusua mu yɛ: Semaia ne Usiel.
of the sons of Heman, Jehuel and Shimei; and of the sons of Jeduthun, Shemaiah and Uzziel.
15 Saa mmarima yi frɛfrɛɛ wɔn mfɛfo Lewifo, na wodwiraa wɔn ho. Na afei, wofii ase dwiraa Awurade Asɔredan no sɛnea ɔhene no hyɛe no. Wɔyɛɛ ahwɛyie, dii Awurade ahyɛde no so pɛpɛɛpɛ wɔ wɔn dwumadi no mu.
They gathered their brothers, they consecrated themselves, and they went in, as the king commanded, following the words of Yahweh, to cleanse the house of Yahweh.
16 Asɔfo no kɔɔ Awurade Asɔredan kronkronbea hɔ, kodwiraa hɔ, na wɔfaa biribiara a ɛho agu fi a wohui no fii hɔ de baa Asɔredan no adiwo. Lewifo no twee ne nyinaa fii hɔ, kɔtow guu Kidron Bon mu.
The priests went in to the inner part of the house of Yahweh to cleanse it; they brought out all the filth that they found in the temple of Yahweh into the courtyard of the house. The Levites took it to carry it out to the brook Kidron.
Now they began the consecration on the first day of the first month. By the eighth day of the month they reached the porch of Yahweh. Then for eight more days they consecrated the house of Yahweh. On the sixteenth day of the first month they finished.
18 Na Lewifo no kɔɔ ɔhene Hesekia nkyɛn, kɔkaa sɛnea dwumadi no akosi kyerɛɛ no. Wɔkae se, “Yɛadwira Awurade Asɔredan no, ɔhyew afɔrebɔ afɔremuka no a nneɛma ahorow ka ho ne Daa Daa Brodo pon no ne ɛho nneɛma ho.
Then they went to Hezekiah, the king, inside the palace and said, “We have cleansed all the house of Yahweh, the altar for burnt offerings with all its implements, and the table of the bread of the presence, with all its implements.
19 Afei nso, nneɛma a ɔhene Ahas tasee bere a na ɔyɛ asoɔden, na ɔtoo asɔredan no mu no nso, yɛakogye ne nyinaa. Ne nyinaa gu Awurade afɔremuka no anim a wɔadwira ho na wobetumi de adi dwuma biara.”
So we have prepared and we have consecrated all the items that King Ahaz removed when he acted unfaithfully during his reign. See, they are in front of the altar of Yahweh.”
20 Ade kyee anɔpahema no, ɔhene Hesekia boaboaa kurow no mpanyimfo ano ne wɔn kɔɔ Awurade Asɔredan no mu.
Then Hezekiah the king rose early in the morning and gathered the leaders of the city; he went up to the house of Yahweh.
21 Wɔde anantwinini ason, adwennini ason, nguantenmma ason ne mpapo ason bae sɛ, ahenni, asɔredan no ne Yuda bɔne ho afɔrebɔde. Ɔhene no hyɛɛ asɔfo no a wɔyɛ Aaron asefo sɛ wɔmfa mmoa no mmɔ afɔre wɔ Awurade afɔremuka no so.
They brought seven bulls, seven rams, seven lambs, and seven male goats as a sin offering for the kingdom, for the sanctuary, and for Judah. He commanded the priests, the sons of Aaron, to offer them on the altar of Yahweh.
22 Na wokunkum anantwinini no, na asɔfo no de mogya no petee afɔremuka no so. Afei, wokunkum adwennini no de wɔn mogya petee afɔremuka no so. Na awiei no, wɔde nguantenmma no yɛɛ saa ara.
So they killed the bulls, and the priests received the blood and sprinkled it on the altar. Then they killed the rams and sprinkled their blood on the altar; and they also killed the lambs and sprinkled their blood on the altar.
23 Wɔde mpapo a wɔde rebɛbɔ bɔne ho afɔre no baa ɔhene no ne ɔmanfo no anim ma wɔde wɔn nsa guu wɔn so.
They brought the male goats for the sin offering before the king and the assembly; they laid their hands on them.
24 Afei, asɔfo no kunkum mpapo no sɛ bɔne ho afɔrebɔ, de wɔn mogya petee afɔremuka no so, sɛ bɔne ho mpata maa Israel nyinaa. Ɔhene no sii so dua sɛ, saa ɔhyew ne bɔne ho afɔrebɔ no, wɔmmɔ mma Israel nyinaa.
The priests killed them, and they made a sin offering with their blood on the altar to make atonement for all Israel, for the king had commanded that a burnt offering and a sin offering should be made for all Israel.
25 Afei, ɔhene Hesekia de Lewifo no gyinagyinaa Awurade Asɔredan no mu. Ɔde kyɛnkyɛn, mmɛnta ne asankuten maa wɔn. Odii ahyɛde a Awurade nam Gad, a ɔyɛ ɔhene nhumuni ne odiyifo Natan so de maa Dawid no so.
Hezekiah placed the Levites in the house of Yahweh with cymbals, harps, and lyres, arranging them by the command of David, Gad, the king's seer, and Nathan, the prophet, for the command was from Yahweh by means of his prophets.
26 Afei, Lewifo no faa Dawid nnwontode no kogyinagyina wɔn gyinabea wɔ Asɔredan no ho. Saa ara nso na asɔfo no faa wɔn ntorobɛnto kogyinagyina wɔn afa.
The Levites stood with the instruments of David, and the priests with the trumpets.
27 Afei, ɔhene Hesekia hyɛɛ sɛ wɔmfa ɔhyew afɔre no nsi afɔremuka no so. Bere a wɔde ɔhyew afɔre no reba no, wofii ase too ayeyi nnwom maa Awurade, na wɔde ntorobɛnto ne Israelhene Dawid nnwontode no gyigyee ho.
Hezekiah commanded them to offer the burnt offering on the altar. When the burnt offering began, the song of Yahweh began also, with the trumpets, together with the instruments of David, king of Israel.
28 Bagua no sɔree Awurade bere a na nnwontofo no reto nnwom, na wɔrehyɛn ntorobɛnto no ara kosii sɛ ɔhyew afɔrebɔde no nyinaa sae.
All the assembly worshiped, the singers sang, and the trumpeters played; all this continued until the burnt offering was finished.
29 Na ɔhene no ne wɔn a wɔka ne ho no nyinaa kotow somee.
When they had finished the offerings, the king and all who were present with him bowed and worshiped.
Moreover, Hezekiah, the king, and the leaders commanded the Levites to sing praises to Yahweh with the words of David and of Asaph, the seer. They sang praises with gladness, and they bowed down and worshiped.
31 Afei, Hesekia de too gua se, “Ɔsom no aba awiei. Momfa mo afɔrebɔde ne mo aseda mmra Awurade Asɔredan mu.” Enti ɔmanfo no de wɔn afɔrebɔde ne wɔn aseda afɔrebɔde bae, na wɔn a wɔpɛ no de ɔhyew afɔrebɔde nso kaa ho.
Then Hezekiah said, “Now you have consecrated yourselves to Yahweh. Come here and bring sacrifices and thank offerings into the house of Yahweh.” The assembly brought sacrifices and thank offerings, and all who had a willing heart brought burnt offerings.
32 Ɔmanfo no de anantwinini aduɔson, adwennini ɔha ne nguantenmma ahannu sɛ ɔhyew afɔrebɔde brɛɛ Awurade.
The number of the burnt offerings that the assembly brought was seventy bulls, one hundred rams, and two hundred male lambs. All these were for a burnt offering to Yahweh.
33 Wɔsan de anantwinini ahansia ne nguan mpensa baa sɛ afɔrebɔde.
The consecrated offerings were six hundred oxen and three thousand sheep.
34 Nanso na asɔfo a wɔwɔ hɔ no sua sɛ wobetumi asiesie ɔhyew afɔre no nyinaa nti, wɔn abusuafo Lewifo no boaa wɔn kosii sɛ dwumadi no baa awiei. Wɔtew asɔfo no pii ho ansa na wɔreboa dwumadi no, efisɛ na Lewifo no adwene wɔ wɔn ahotew so sen asɔfo no.
But the priests were too few to skin all the burnt offerings, so their brothers, the Levites, helped them until the work was done, and until the priests could consecrate themselves, for the Levites had been more careful to consecrate themselves than the priests.
35 Na ɔhyew afɔre ne daa nsa afɔre no buu so. Saa ara nso na asomdwoe afɔre srade nso yɛɛ bebree. Enti wosiesiee Awurade Asɔredan no maa ɔsom no.
In addition, there were very many burnt offerings; they were performed with the fat of the fellowship offerings, and there were drink offerings for every burnt offering. So the service of the house of Yahweh was set in order.
36 Na Hesekia ne ɔmanfo no nyinaa gyee wɔn ani wɔ nea Onyankopɔn ayɛ ama nnipa no ho, efisɛ wowiee biribiara ntɛm.
Hezekiah rejoiced, and all the people also, because of what God had prepared for the people, for the work had been done quickly.
