Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, unto the chosen pilgrims of the dispersion, throughout Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia and Bithynia, —
2 Wɔnam Agya Onyankopɔn botae so na woyii mo na wɔnam ne Honhom so tew mo ho sɛ munni Yesu Kristo akyi na ɛnam so ama ne mogya no atew mo ho: Adom ne asomdwoe a ɛdɔɔso nka mo.
[Chosen] according to the fore-knowledge of God the Father, in sanctification of Spirit, unto obedience and the sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ, Favour unto you, and peace, be multiplied!
3 Momma yɛnna Onyankopɔn a ɔyɛ yɛn Awurade Yesu Kristo Agya no ase. Esiane nʼahummɔbɔ dodow nti, ɔnam nyan a onyan Yesu Kristo fii owu mu no so maa yɛn nkwa foforo. Eyi ma yenya anidaso a ase atim,
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, Who, according to his great mercy, hath regenerated us unto a living hope, through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from among the dead,
4 enti yɛrehwɛ anim sɛ yebenya nhyira dodow a Onyankopɔn akora a ɔde bɛma ne mma no bi. Ɔde asie wɔ ɔsoro ama mo, efisɛ hɔ de, ɛremporɔw anaa ɛrensɛe na ɛrempa nso.
Unto an inheritance, incorruptible and undefiled and unfading, reserved in the heavens for you
5 Na Onyankopɔn gyina ne tumi kɛse no so bɛhwɛ sɛ mubedu hɔ wɔ asomdwoe mu na mo nsa aka, efisɛ mugye no di. Ɛbɛyɛ mo de nna a edi akyiri no mu ama obiara ahu.
who, in God’s power, are being guarded through faith unto salvation—ready to be revealed in the last ripe time:
6 Ɛwɔ mu sɛ ebia ɛbɛba mprempren, esiane ɔhaw bebree a mobɛfa mu no nti, mo werɛ bɛhow de, nanso momma mo ani nnye saa asɛm yi ho.
Wherein ye exult, though, for a little, just now, if needful, put to grief in manifold temptations,
7 Ɔhaw ba sɛnea ɛbɛyɛ a wobehu sɛ mo gyidi no yɛ kann. Sikakɔkɔɔ a wotumi sɛe no no mpo, wɔde ogya sɔ hwɛ, enti ɛsɛ sɛ wɔsɔ mo gyidi a ɛsom bo kyɛn sikakɔkɔɔ no hwɛ hu sɛ ebetumi agyina ana. Ɛno ansa na da a Yesu Kristo bɛba no, mubenya anuonyam.
In order that the proving of your faith—much more precious than of gold that perisheth even though, by means of fire, it is proved—may be found unto praise and glory and honour in the revealing of Jesus Christ, —
8 Ɛwɔ mu sɛ munhu Yesu de, nanso modɔ no. Munhu no mprempren de, nanso mugye no di. Anigye a moanya no boro so,
Whom, not having seen, ye love, on whom, though at present not looking, but believing, ye exult with joy unspeakable and filled with glory,

Being about to bear away the end of your faith—a salvation of souls:
10 Saa nkwagye yi na adiyifo no de boasetɔ hwehwɛɛ mu, hyɛɛ saa akyɛde yi a Onyankopɔn de bɛma mo no ho nkɔm.
Concerning which salvation, prophets—who concerning the favour for you, did prophesy—sought out and searched out,
11 Wɔpɛɛ sɛ wohu bere no ne ɔkwan a ɛnam so bɛba. Saa bere yi ne bere a Kristo Honhom a ɛte wɔn mu no rekyerɛ wɔ nkɔmhyɛ a ɛfa Kristo amanehunu a ɔbɛfa mu ne anuonyam a ebedi akyi no ho.
Searching into what particular, or what manner, of season the Spirit of Christ which was in them was pointing to, when witnessing beforehand as to—The sufferings, for Christ, and the glories, after these, —
12 Onyankopɔn daa no adi kyerɛɛ saa adiyifo no sɛ, wɔanyɛ adwuma no amma wɔn ho, na mmom wɔyɛ de som mo. Wɔnam Honhom Kronkron a wɔsomaa no fii ɔsoro no tumi so kaa Asɛmpa no kyerɛɛ mo. Ɛwɔ mu sɛ abɔfo no pɛɛ sɛ wɔbɛte Asɛmpa yi de, nanso wɔde brɛɛ mo nko ara.
Unto whom it was revealed—that, Not unto themselves, but unto us, they were ministering them, which things have, now, been announced unto you through them who have told you the good tidings with Holy Spirit sent forth from heaven: into which things messengers are coveting to obtain a nearer view.
13 Enti munsi mo adwene pi na munni dwuma. Munnyina yiye na momma mo ani nna nhyira a wɔde bɛma mo Yesu Kristo ba a ɔbɛba no mu no so.
Wherefore, girding up the loins of your mind, keeping sober, perseveringly direct your hope unto the favour, being borne along to you, in the revealing of Jesus Christ:
14 Muntie Onyankopɔn, na mommma akɔnnɔ abrabɔ a edii mo so bere a na munnim no no nni mo so.
As obedient persons, not configuring yourselves unto your former covetings in your ignorance:
15 Na mmom monyɛ kronkron wɔ biribiara a moyɛ mu, sɛnea Onyankopɔn a ɔfrɛɛ mo no yɛ kronkron no.
But, according as he that hath called you is holy, do, ye yourselves, also become, holy in all manner of behaviour, —
16 Kyerɛwsɛm no ka se, “Ɛsɛ sɛ moyɛ kronkron, efisɛ meyɛ kronkron.”
Inasmuch as it is written—Holy shall ye be, because, I, am holy.
17 Monkae sɛ mo Agya a ɔwɔ ɔsoro a mobɔ no mpae no nhwɛ nnipa anim wɔ nʼatemmu mu. Ɛno nti momfa nidi nyinaa mma no wɔ mo nna a aka mo wɔ asase yi so no.
And, if, as Father, ye are invoking him who, without respect of persons, judgeth according to each man’s work, with reverence, for the time of your sojourning, behave ye;
18 Efisɛ munim bo a wotua de gyee mo fii abrabɔ bɔne a mo nananom kyerɛɛ mo no mu. Ɛnyɛ ade a ɛhwere ne bo a ɛsom te sɛ dwetɛ anaa sikakɔkɔɔ no.
Knowing that, Not with corruptible things, with silver or gold, have ye been redeemed from your unmeaning behaviour paternally handed down,
19 Kristo a ɔte sɛ oguamma a onni dɛm no de ne ho bɔɔ afɔre a ne bo yɛ den ma munyaa ahofadi.
But with precious blood, as of a lamb, unblemished and unspotted, of an Anointed One, —
20 Ansa na wɔrebɔ wiase no, na Onyankopɔn ayi no na mo nti na nna a edi akyiri no wɔdaa no adi no.
Foreknown, indeed, before the foundation of the world, but made manifest at a last stage of the times, for the sake of you
21 Ɛnam ne so na mugyee Onyankopɔn a onyan no fii awufo mu na ɔmaa no anuonyam no dii. Ɛnam so ama mo gyidi ne mo anidaso ase atim wɔ Onyankopɔn mu no.
who, through him, are faithful towards God, —Who raised him from among the dead, and glory to him gave, So that your faith and hope are directed towards God:
22 Afei a moayɛ osetie ama nokware no nti, mo ho atew na mododɔ mo nuanom agyidifo nokware mu yi, mumfi mo koma nyinaa mu nnodɔ mo ho mo ho.
Having purified, your souls, by the obedience of the truth, unto unfeigned brotherly affection, from the heart, love, one another, earnestly;
23 Efisɛ wɔawo mo foforo; emfi aba a ɛporɔw mu, na mmom efi Onyankopɔn asɛm a ɛmporɔw no mu. (aiōn g165)
Having been regenerated—Not out of corruptible seed, but incorruptible—through means of the word of a Living and Abiding God; (aiōn g165)
24 Kyerɛwsɛm no ka se, “Nnipa nyinaa te sɛ sare; na wɔn anuonyam te sɛ nhwiren. Sare no wu ma ne nhwiren no po,
Inasmuch as—All flesh, is as grass, and, all the glory thereof, as the flower of grass, —The grass hath withered, and the flower hath fallen out,
