Yuhanna 11
1 Meryem ile kızkardeşi Marta'nın köyü olan Beytanya'dan Lazar adında bir adam hastalanmıştı.
BUT a certain man was sick, Loozar, of the village Bethania: (he was) the brother of Mariam and of Martha.
2 Meryem, Rab'be güzel kokulu yağ sürüp saçlarıyla O'nun ayaklarını silen kadındı. Hasta Lazar ise Meryem'in kardeşiydi.
It was that Mariam who anointed with balsam the feet of Jeshu, and wiped (them) with her hair, whose brother this Loozar was who was sick.
3 İki kızkardeş İsa'ya, “Rab, sevdiğin kişi hasta” diye haber gönderdiler.
And his two sisters sent unto Jeshu, saying, Our Lord, he whom thou lovest is sick.
4 İsa bunu işitince, “Bu hastalık ölümle sonuçlanmayacak; Tanrı'nın yüceliğine, Tanrı Oğlu'nun yüceltilmesine hizmet edecek” dedi.
But Jeshu said, This sickness is not of death, but for the glory of Aloha, that the Son of Aloha may be glorified on account of it.
5 İsa Marta'yı, kızkardeşini ve Lazar'ı severdi.
But Jeshu loved Martha and Mariam and Loozar.
6 Bu nedenle, Lazar'ın hasta olduğunu duyunca bulunduğu yerde iki gün daha kaldıktan sonra öğrencilere, “Yahudiye'ye dönelim” dedi.
And when he heard that he was sick, he remained in the place where he was two days.
And afterwards he saith to his disciples, Come, we will go again into Jihud.
8 Öğrenciler, “Rabbî” dediler, “Yahudi yetkililer demin seni taşlamaya kalkıştılar. Yine oraya mı gidiyorsun?”
His disciples say to him, Raban, now have the Jihudoyee sought to stone thee; and again goest thou thither?
9 İsa şu karşılığı verdi: “Günün on iki saati yok mu? Gündüz yürüyen sendelemez. Çünkü bu dünyanın ışığını görür.
Jeshu saith to them, Are there not twelve hours in the day? If a man walk in the day, he stumbleth not, because he seeth the light of this world;
10 Oysa gece yürüyen sendeler. Çünkü kendisinde ışık yoktur.”
but if a man walk in the night, he stumbleth, because no light is in him.
11 Bu sözleri söyledikten sonra, “Dostumuz Lazar uyudu” diye ekledi, “Onu uyandırmaya gidiyorum.”
These spake Jeshu; and afterwards he said to them, Loozar our friend reposeth; but I go to awake him.
12 Öğrenciler, “Ya Rab” dediler, “Uyuduysa iyileşecektir.”
His disciples say to him, Our Lord, if he sleep he is healed.
13 İsa Lazar'ın ölümünden söz ediyordu, ama onlar olağan uykudan söz ettiğini sanmışlardı.
But Jeshu spake concerning his death; and they thought that concerning the repose of sleep he spake.
14 Bunun üzerine İsa açıkça, “Lazar öldü” dedi.
Then said Jeshu to them explicatively, Loozar is dead.
15 “İman edesiniz diye, orada bulunmadığıma sizin için seviniyorum. Şimdi onun yanına gidelim.”
And I am glad I was not there for your sakes, that you may believe. But let us walk thither.
16 “İkiz” diye anılan Tomas öbür öğrencilere, “Biz de gidelim, O'nunla birlikte ölelim!” dedi.
Thoma, who is called the Twin, saith to his fellow-disciples, Let us also go, that we may die with him.
17 İsa Beytanya'ya yaklaşınca Lazar'ın dört gündür mezarda olduğunu öğrendi.
And Jeshu came to Bethania, and found that he had been four days in the house of burial.
18 Beytanya, Yeruşalim'e on beş ok atımı kadar uzaklıktaydı.
Now Bethania was nigh to Urishlem, being a distance from it of about fifteen stadia.
19 Birçok Yahudi, kardeşlerini yitiren Marta'yla Meryem'i avutmaya gelmişti.
And many of the Jihudoyee had come to Martha and Mariam, that they might speak to their hearts concerning their brother.
20 Marta İsa'nın geldiğini duyunca O'nu karşılamaya çıktı, Meryem ise evde kaldı.
Then Martha, when she heard that Jeshu had come, went forth to meet him; but Mariam sat in the house.
21 Marta İsa'ya, “Ya Rab” dedi, “Burada olsaydın, kardeşim ölmezdi.
And Martha said to Jeshu, My Lord, if thou hadst been here, my brother had not died.
22 Şimdi bile, Tanrı'dan ne dilersen Tanrı'nın onu sana vereceğini biliyorum.”
But even now know I that whatsoever thou wilt ask of Aloha, he giveth to thee.
23 İsa, “Kardeşin dirilecektir” dedi.
Jeshu saith to her, Thy brother ariseth.
24 Marta, “Son gün, diriliş günü onun dirileceğini biliyorum” dedi.
Martha saith to him, I know that he ariseth in the resurrection at the last day.
25 İsa ona, “Diriliş ve yaşam Ben'im” dedi. “Bana iman eden kişi ölse de yaşayacaktır.
Jeshu saith to her, I am the Resurrection and the Life; and (he) who believeth in me, although he will die, shall live.
And every one who liveth and believeth in me, for ever shall not die. Believest thou this? (aiōn g165)
27 Marta, “Evet, ya Rab” dedi. “Senin, dünyaya gelecek olan Tanrı'nın Oğlu Mesih olduğuna iman ettim.”
She saith to him, Yes, my Lord; I believe that thou art the Meshicha, the Son of Aloha, who cometh into the world.
28 Bunu söyledikten sonra gidip kızkardeşi Meryem'i gizlice çağırdı. “Öğretmen burada, seni çağırıyor” dedi.
And when she had said these, she went, called Mariam her sister in secret, and said to her, Our Master hath come, and calleth for thee.
29 Meryem bunu işitince hemen kalkıp İsa'nın yanına gitti.
When Mariam heard, she arose quickly, and came to him.
30 İsa henüz köye varmamıştı, hâlâ Marta'nın kendisini karşıladığı yerdeydi.
But Jeshu himself had not yet come into the village, but was in that place where Martha met him.
31 Meryem'le birlikte evde bulunan ve kendisini teselli eden Yahudiler, onun hızla kalkıp dışarı çıktığını gördüler. Ağlamak için mezara gittiğini sanarak onu izlediler.
But those Jihudoyee who were also with her in the house to console her, when they saw that Mariam rose up hastily to go forth, went themselves after her; for they thought that to the sepulchre she went to weep.
32 Meryem İsa'nın bulunduğu yere vardı. O'nu görünce ayaklarına kapanarak, “Ya Rab” dedi, “Burada olsaydın, kardeşim ölmezdi.”
But she, Mariam, when she was come where Jeshu was, and saw him, fell down at his feet, saying, If thou hadst been here, my Lord, my brother had not died.
33 Meryem'in ve onunla gelen Yahudiler'in ağladığını gören İsa'nın içini hüzün kapladı, yüreği sızladı.
But Jeshu, when he saw her weeping, and those Jihudoyee who came with her weeping, he was moved in his spirit, and was troubled,
34 “Onu nereye koydunuz?” diye sordu. O'na, “Ya Rab, gel gör” dediler.
and said, Where have you laid him? And they said to him, Our Lord, come and see.
35 İsa ağladı.
And the tears of Jeshu came.
36 Yahudiler, “Bakın, onu ne kadar seviyormuş!” dediler.
And the Jihudoyee said, See how he loved him!
37 Ama içlerinden bazıları, “Körün gözlerini açan bu kişi, Lazar'ın ölümünü de önleyemez miydi?” dediler.
But some of them said, Could not this who opened the eyes of that blind have caused also that this should not have died?
38 İsa yine derinden hüzünlenerek mezara vardı. Mezar bir mağaraydı, girişinde de bir taş duruyordu.
Jeshu, groaning within himself, came to the house of burial; and that house of burial was a cave, and a stone was laid at the gate of it.
39 İsa, “Taşı çekin!” dedi. Ölenin kızkardeşi Marta, “Rab, o artık kokmuştur, öleli dört gün oldu” dedi.
And Jeshu said, Take up this stone. Martha, the sister of him (who was) dead, saith to him, My Lord, he now stinketh; for four days are to him.
40 İsa ona, “Ben sana, ‘İman edersen Tanrı'nın yüceliğini göreceksin’ demedim mi?” dedi.
Jeshu said to her, Said I not to thee, that if thou wilt believe, thou shalt see the glory of Aloha?
41 Bunun üzerine taşı çektiler. İsa gözlerini gökyüzüne kaldırarak şöyle dedi: “Baba, beni işittiğin için sana şükrediyorum.
And they took up the stone. And Jeshu lifted his eye upward, and said, Father, I give thanks to thee that thou hast heard me;
42 Beni her zaman işittiğini biliyordum. Ama bunu, çevrede duran halk için, beni senin gönderdiğine iman etsinler diye söyledim.”
and I know that at all times thou hearest me: yet, because of this assembly which standeth, I say these (words), that they may believe that thou hast sent me.
43 Bunları söyledikten sonra yüksek sesle, “Lazar, dışarı çık!” diye bağırdı.
And when he had said these (words), he cried with a high voice, Loozar, come without!
44 Ölü, elleri ayakları sargılarla bağlı, yüzü peşkirle sarılmış olarak dışarı çıktı. İsa oradakilere, “Onu çözün, bırakın gitsin” dedi.
And he, the dead, came forth, his hands and his feet being bound with bandages, and his face in a linen cloth. Jeshu saith to them, Release him, and let (him) go.
45 O zaman, Meryem'e gelen ve İsa'nın yaptıklarını gören Yahudiler'in birçoğu İsa'ya iman etti.
And many of the Jihudoyee who came with Mariam, when they saw the thing which Jeshu did, believed on him.
46 Ama içlerinden bazıları Ferisiler'e giderek İsa'nın yaptıklarını onlara bildirdiler.
And some of them went to the Pharishee, and told them every thing that Jeshu had done.
47 Bunun üzerine başkâhinler ve Ferisiler, Yüksek Kurul'u toplayıp dediler ki, “Ne yapacağız? Bu adam birçok doğaüstü belirti gerçekleştiriyor.
AND the chief priests and Pharishee assembled, and said, What shall we do? because this man doeth many signs;
48 Böyle devam etmesine izin verirsek, herkes O'na iman edecek. Romalılar da gelip kutsal yerimizi ve ulusumuzu ortadan kaldıracaklar.”
and if we leave him thus, all men will believe on him, and the Rumoyee, coming, take away our country and our people.
49 İçlerinden biri, o yıl başkâhin olan Kayafa, “Hiçbir şey bilmiyorsunuz” dedi.
But one of them, whose name was Kaiapha, was the high priest of that year; and he said to them, You know not any thing,
50 “Bütün ulus yok olacağına, halk uğruna bir tek adamın ölmesi sizin için daha uygun. Bunu anlamıyor musunuz?”
nor reason that it is expedient for us that one man die for the people, and not all the people perish.
51 Bunu kendiliğinden söylemiyordu. O yılın başkâhini olarak İsa'nın, ulusun uğruna, ve yalnız ulusun uğruna değil, Tanrı'nın dağılmış çocuklarını toplayıp birleştirmek için de öleceğine ilişkin peygamberlikte bulunuyordu.
But this from himself he spake not, but because he was high priest of that year, he prophesied that Jeshu should die for the people,
and not only for (that) people, but also that the children of Aloha who are dispersed he should gather into one.
53 Böylece o günden itibaren İsa'yı öldürmek için düzen kurmaya başladılar.
And from that day they determined to kill him.
54 Bu yüzden İsa artık Yahudiler arasında açıkça dolaşmaz oldu. Oradan ayrılarak çöle yakın bir yere, Efrayim denilen kente gitti. Öğrencileriyle birlikte orada kaldı.
But Jeshu himself walked not openly among the Jihudoyee, but went from thence to the region near the wilderness, to a region which was called Ephrem, and there conversed with his disciples.
55 Yahudiler'in Fısıh Bayramı yakındı. Taşradakilerin birçoğu bayramdan önce arınmak için Yeruşalim'e gitti.
NOW the petscha of the Jihudoyee drew nigh; and many went up from the country places to Urishlem before the festival, to purify themselves.
56 Orada İsa'yı arayıp durdular. Tapınaktayken birbirlerine, “Ne dersiniz, bayrama hiç gelmeyecek mi?” diye soruyorlardı.
And they sought for Jeshu, and said one to another in the temple, What think you, that he cometh to the feast?
57 Başkâhinlerle Ferisiler O'nu yakalayabilmek için, yerini bilenlerin haber vermesini buyurmuşlardı.
But the chief priests and Pharishee had commanded that if any man knew where (he was), he should declare it to them, as that they might apprehend him.
