2 Timoteos 4
1 Tanrı'nın ve dirilerle ölüleri yargılayacak olan Mesih İsa'nın önünde, O'nun gelişi ve egemenliği hakkı için sana buyuruyorum: Tanrı sözünü duyur. Zaman uygun olsun olmasın, bu görevi sürdür. İnsanları tam bir sabırla eğiterek ikna et, uyar, isteklendir.
I command you therefore before God and Meshikha Yeshua, who will judge the living and the dead, and by his appearing and his Kingdom:
preach the word; be urgent in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and exhort, with all patience and teaching.
3 Çünkü öyle bir zaman gelecek ki, sağlam öğretiye katlanamayacaklar. Kulaklarını okşayan sözler duymak için çevrelerine kendi arzularına uygun öğretmenler toplayacaklar.
For the time will come when they will not listen to the sound doctrine, but, having itching ears, will heap up for themselves teachers after their own lusts;
4 Kulaklarını gerçeğe tıkayıp masallara sapacaklar.
and will turn away their ears from the truth, and turn aside to myths.
5 Ama sen her durumda ayık ol, sıkıntıya göğüs ger, müjdeci olarak işini yap, görevini tamamla.
But you be sober in all things, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.
6 Çünkü kanım adak şarabı gibi dökülmek üzere. Benim için ayrılma zamanı geldi.
For I am already being offered, and the time of my departure has come.
7 Yüce mücadeleyi sürdürdüm, yarışı bitirdim, imanı korudum.
I have fought the good fight. I have finished the course. I have kept the faith.
8 Bundan böyle doğruluk tacı benim için hazır duruyor. Adil yargıç olan Rab o gün bu tacı bana, yalnız bana değil, O'nun gelişini özlemle beklemiş olanların hepsine verecektir.
From now on, there is stored up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will give to me on that day; and not to me only, but also to all those who have loved his appearing.
9 Yanıma tez gelmeye gayret et.
Be diligent to come to me soon,

11 Yanımda yalnız Luka var. Markos'u alıp beraberinde getir, yapacağım hizmette bana yardım eder.
Only Luqa is with me. Take Markos, and bring him with you, for he is useful to me for service.
12 Tihikos'u Efes'e gönderdim.
But I sent Tychicus to Ephesus.
13 Troas'ta Karp'ın yanında bıraktığım abayı, kitapları, özellikle yazı derilerini gelirken beraberinde getir.
Bring the cloak that I left at Troas with Carpus when you come, and the books, especially the parchments.
14 Bakırcı İskender bana çok kötülük etti. Rab ona yaptıklarının karşılığını verecektir.
Alexandros, the coppersmith, did much evil to me. The Lord will repay him according to his works,
15 Sen de ondan sakın. Çünkü söylediklerimize şiddetle karşı koydu.
of whom you also must beware; for he greatly opposed our words.
16 İlk savunmamda benden yana çıkan olmadı, hepsi beni terk etti. Bunun hesabı onlardan sorulmasın.
At my first defense, no one came to help me, but all left me. May it not be held against them.
17 Ama Tanrı bildirisi aracılığımla tam olarak açıklansın, bütün uluslar bunu duysun diye Rab yardımıma gelip beni güçlendirdi. Aslanın ağzından böyle kurtuldum!
But the Lord stood by me, and strengthened me, that through me the message might be fully proclaimed, and that all the non-Jewish people might hear; and I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion.
18 Rab beni her kötülükten kurtarıp güvenlik içinde göksel egemenliğine ulaştıracak. Sonsuzlara dek O'na yücelik olsun! Amin. (aiōn g165)
And the Lord will deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me for his heavenly Kingdom; to whom be the glory forever and ever. Amen. (aiōn g165)

Be diligent to come before winter. Eubulus salutes you, as do Pudens, Linus, Claudia, and all the brothers.
22 Rab ruhunla birlikte olsun. Tanrı'nın lütfu sizlerle olsun.
The Lord be with your spirit. Grace be with you.
