< Loma 12 >

1 Ko eni, ʻe kāinga, ʻoku ou kole ai kiate kimoutolu, ko e meʻa ʻi he ngaahi ʻaloʻofa ongongofua ʻae ʻOtua, ke mou ʻatu homou sino ko e feilaulau moʻui, mo māʻoniʻoni, mo lelei ki he ʻOtua, ʻaia ko e ngāue ʻoku taau mo kimoutolu ke fai.
I Beseech you therefore brethren, by the mercies of God, that yee giue vp your bodies a liuing sacrifice, holy, acceptable vnto God, which is your reasonable seruing of God.
2 Pea ʻoua naʻa fakatatau ʻakimoutolu ki he māmani: ka ke mātuʻaki liliu ʻakimoutolu ʻi he fakafoʻou ʻo homou ʻatamai, koeʻuhi ke mou ʻilo pau ʻae finangalo ko ia ʻoe ʻOtua, ʻa hono lelei, mo hono ʻaonga, mo hono haohaoa. (aiōn g165)
And fashion not your selues like vnto this worlde, but bee yee changed by the renewing of your minde, that ye may prooue what that good, and acceptable and perfect will of God is. (aiōn g165)
3 He ko e meʻa ʻi he ʻofa kuo foaki kiate au, ʻoku ou tala atu ai ki he tangata taki taha kotoa pē ʻoku ʻiate kimoutolu, ke ʻoua naʻa lelei lahi ʻene mahalo kiate ia he mahalo ʻoku totonu; ka ke mahalo fakapotopoto, ʻo fakatatau ki hono lahi ʻoe tui kuo vaheʻi ʻe he ʻOtua ki he tangata taki taha.
For I say through the grace that is giuen vnto me, to euery one that is among you, that no man presume to vnderstande aboue that which is meete to vnderstand, but that he vnderstande according to sobrietie, as God hath dealt to euery man the measure of faith.
4 He ʻoku hangē ʻoku ʻi hotau sino pe taha ʻae ngaahi kupu lahi, ka ʻoku ʻikai fai ʻae ngāue tatau pē ʻe he kupu kotoa pē:
For as wee haue many members in one body, and all members haue not one office,
5 ‌ʻOku pehē foki ʻakitautolu, ko e tokolahi, ka ko e sino pe taha ʻia Kalaisi, pea ʻoku tau feʻaongaʻaki fakataha ʻae kupu kotoa pē.
So we being many are one body in Christ, and euery one, one anothers members.
6 Ko ia ʻi heʻetau maʻu ʻae ngaahi foaki ʻoku fai kehekehe, ʻo taau mo e ʻofa kuo foaki kiate kitautolu, kapau ko e kikite, [tau fai ia ]ʻo fakatatau mo hono lahi ʻoe tui;
Seeing then that we haue gifts that are diuers, according to the grace that is giuen vnto vs, whether we haue prophecie, let vs prophecie according to the portion of faith:
7 Pe ko e tauhi, tau [fai ]ʻae tauhi: pe ko ia ʻoku akonaki, [ke fai ʻene ]akonaki;
Or an office, let vs waite on the office: or he that teacheth, on teaching:
8 Pe ko ia ʻoku ekinaki, [ke ne ]ekinaki: ko ia ʻoku foaki, ke [fai ia ]ʻo angatonu; ko ia ʻoku pule, [ke ]faʻa fai [ia]; ko ia ʻoku fai ʻofa, [ke fai ]ʻi he fiefie fai.
Or he that exhorteth, on exhortation: he that distributeth, let him doe it with simplicitie: he that ruleth, with diligence: he that sheweth mercie, with cheerefulnesse.
9 Ke taʻemalualoi ʻae ʻofa. Fehiʻa ki he meʻa ʻoku kovi; piki maʻu ki he meʻa ʻoku lelei.
Let loue be without dissimulation. Abhorre that which is euill, and cleaue vnto that which is good.
10 Ke mou feʻofaʻaki ʻakimoutolu ʻi he ʻofa fakakāinga; ʻo mou felotoleleiʻaki ʻi he fefakaʻapaʻapaʻaki kiate kimoutolu;
Be affectioned to loue one another with brotherly loue. In giuing honour, goe one before another,
11 ‌ʻOua naʻa fakapikopiko ʻi he ngāue: ka mou loto vela; ʻo tauhi ki he ʻEiki;
Not slouthfull to do seruice: seruent in spirit seruing the Lord,
12 ‌ʻO fiefia ʻi he ʻamanaki lelei; pea faʻa kātaki ʻi he mamahi; pea fai maʻu ʻo fakakukafi ʻi he lotu;
Reioycing in hope, pacient in tribulation, continuing in prayer,
13 Tufaki ki he masiva ʻoe kāinga māʻoniʻoni; tuli ki he angaʻofa.
Distributing vnto the necessities of the Saintes: giuing your selues to hospitalitie.
14 Tāpuaki ʻakinautolu ʻoku fakatanga kimoutolu: tāpuakiʻi, pea ʻoua naʻa kapea.
Blesse them which persecute you: blesse, I say, and curse not.
15 Fiefia mo kinautolu ʻoku fiefia, pea tangi mo kinautolu ʻoku tangi.
Reioyce with them that reioyce, and weepe with them that weepe.
16 Ke felototahaʻaki ʻakimoutolu. ʻOua naʻa tokanga ki he ngaahi meʻa māʻolunga, kae tataki ʻakimoutolu ki he ngaahi meʻa māʻulalo. Pea ʻoua naʻa mou fiepoto ʻiate kimoutolu.
Be of like affection one towardes another: be not hie minded: but make your selues equall to them of the lower sort: be not wise in your selues.
17 ‌ʻOua naʻa totongi ʻae kovi ʻaki ʻae kovi ki ha taha. Fifili ki he ngaahi meʻa ʻoku lelei ʻi he ʻao ʻoe kakai kotoa pē.
Recompence to no man euill for euill: procure things honest in the sight of all men.
18 Pea kapau ʻe faʻa lavaʻi, mou moʻui melino pē mo e kakai kotoa pē.
If it bee possible, as much as in you is, haue peace with all men.
19 ‌ʻAe kāinga ʻofeina, ʻoua naʻa mou fai ʻae totongi koeʻuhi ko kimoutolu, ka mou fakaʻataʻatā ki he houhau: he kuo tohi, “ʻOku ʻaʻaku ʻae totongi; ʻoku pehē ʻe he ʻEiki,” te u totongi pē ʻeau.
Dearely beloued, auenge not your selues, but giue place vnto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine: I will repay, saith the Lord.
20 Ko ia, “Kapau ʻoku fiekaia ho fili, fafanga ia; kapau ʻoku fieinu, ʻatu ha inu kiate ia: koeʻuhi ʻi hoʻo fai pehē, te ke fokotuʻu ʻae malalaʻi afi ki hono ʻulu.”
Therefore, if thine enemie hunger, feede him: if he thirst, giue him drinke: for in so doing, thou shalt heape coales of fire on his head.
21 ‌ʻOua naʻa ikuna koe ʻe he kovi, kae ikuna ʻae kovi ʻaki ʻae lelei.
Bee not ouercome of euill, but ouercome euill with goodnesse.
