< Fakahā 5 >

1 Pea ne u mamata ʻi he nima toʻomataʻu ʻo ia naʻe nofo ʻi he nofoʻa fakaʻeiʻeiki ʻae tohi kuo tohi ʻi loto mo tuʻa, pea fakamaʻu ʻaki ʻae meʻa fakamaʻu ʻe fitu.
And I saw in the right hand of him that sate vpon the throne, a Booke written within, and on the backside, sealed with seuen seales.
And I sawe a strong Angell which preached with a loud voice, Who is worthy to open ye booke, and to loose the seales thereof?
3 Pea naʻe ʻikai ha tokotaha ʻi he langi, pe ʻi māmani, pe ʻi lalo ʻi māmani, ʻoku faʻa fai ke toʻo ʻae tohi, pe ke mamata ki ai.
And no man in heauen, nor in earth, neither vnder the earth, was able to open the Booke, neither to looke thereon.
4 Pea ne u tangi lahi, koeʻuhi naʻe ʻikai ke ʻiloʻi ha taha ʻoku taau ke ne toʻo mo lau ʻae tohi, pe ke mamata ki ai.
Then I wept much, because no man was foud worthy to open, and to reade the Booke, neither to looke thereon.
5 Pea pehē ʻe ha tokotaha ʻoe kau mātuʻa kiate au, “ʻOua ʻe tangi: vakai, ko e Laione ʻoe faʻahinga ʻo Siuta, ko e Aka ʻo Tevita, kuo ne lavaʻi ke ne toʻo ʻae tohi, pea ke vete ʻa hono meʻa fakamaʻu ʻe fitu.”
And one of the Elders saide vnto me, Weepe not: beholde, that Lion which is of the tribe of Iuda, that roote of Dauid, hath obteined to open the Booke, and to loose the seuen seales thereof.
6 Pea ne u mamata, pea vakai, ʻi he haʻohaʻonga ʻoe nofoʻa fakaʻeiʻeiki mo e meʻa moʻui ʻe fā, pea ʻi he haʻohaʻonga ʻoe kau mātuʻa, naʻe tuaʻā e Lami ʻo hangē kuo tāmateʻi, kuo fitu ʻae nifo ʻi hono ʻulu, mo e mata ʻe fitu, ʻaia ko e Laumālie ʻe Fitu ʻoe ʻOtua ʻoku fekau atu ki māmani kotoa pē.
Then I behelde, and loe, in the middes of the throne, and of the foure beasts, and in the mids of the Elders, stoode a Labe as though he had bene killed, which had seuen hornes, and seuen eyes, which are the seuen spirites of God, sent into all the world.
7 Pea naʻe haʻu ia, ʻo ne toʻo ʻae tohi mei he nima toʻomataʻu ʻo ia naʻe nofo ʻi he nofoʻa fakaʻeiʻeiki.
And hee came, and tooke the Booke out of the right hand of him that sate vpon the throne.
8 Pea ʻi heʻene toʻo ʻae tohi, naʻe fakafoʻohifo ʻi he ʻao ʻoe Lami ʻae meʻa moʻui ʻe fā mo e kau mātuʻa ʻe toko uofulu ma toko fā, naʻa nau taki taha ʻae haʻape, mo e hina koula kuo pito ʻi he meʻa namu kakala, ʻaia ko e ngaahi lotu ʻoe kakai māʻoniʻoni.
And when he had taken ye Booke, ye foure beasts and the foure and twenty Elders fel downe before the Lambe, hauing euery one harps and golden vials full of odours, which are the praiers of the Saintes,
9 Pea naʻa nau hiva ʻaki ʻae hiva foʻou, ʻo pehē, “ʻOku taau mo koe ke toʻo ʻae tohi, Pea ke vete hono ngaahi meʻa fakamaʻu ʻo ia: He naʻe tāmateʻi koe, Pea kuo ke huhuʻi ʻae kakai ʻaki ho taʻataʻa ki he ʻOtua, Mei he faʻahinga, mo e lea, mo e kakai, mo e puleʻanga kotoa pē.
And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthie to take the Booke, and to open the seales thereof, because thou wast killed, and hast redeemed vs to God by thy blood out of euery kinred, and tongue, and people, and nation,
10 Pea kuo ke ngaohi ʻakinautolu ko e ngaahi tuʻi mo e kau taulaʻeiki ki homau ʻOtua: Pea te nau pule ʻi he maama.”
And hast made vs vnto our God Kings and Priests, and we shall reigne on the earth.
11 Pea ne u vakai, pea u fanongo ki he leʻo ʻoe kau ʻāngelo tokolahi naʻe tuʻu takatakai ʻi he nofoʻa fakaʻeiʻeiki mo e ngaahi meʻa moʻui mo e kau mātuʻa: pea ko honau lau ko e ngaahi toko mano lauʻi ngaahi mano, mo e ngaahi toko afe lauʻi ngaahi toko afe;
Then I behelde, and I heard the voice of many Angels round about the throne, and about the beastes and the Elders, and there were ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousand thousands,
12 ‌ʻOku nau pehē, ʻaki ʻae leʻo lahi, “ʻOku taau mo e Lami naʻe tāmateʻi Ke tuku kiate ia ʻae māfimafi, mo e koloa, mo e poto, Mo e mālohi, mo e fakaʻapaʻapa, mo e ongoongolelei, mo e fakafetaʻi.”
Saying with a loude voice, Worthie is the Lambe that was killed to receiue power, and riches, and wisdome, and strength, and honour, and glory, and praise.
13 Pea ne u fanongo ki he ngaahi meʻa kotoa pē ʻaia ʻoku ʻi he langi, pea ʻi he māmani, pea ʻi lalo ʻi māmani, pea mo ia ʻoku ʻi he tahi, pea mo kinautolu kotoa pē ʻoku ʻi ai, naʻa nau pehē, “Ke ʻiate ia ʻoku nofo ʻi he nofoʻa fakaʻeiʻeiki, pea ki he Lami, ʻae fakafetaʻi, mo e fakaʻapaʻapa, mo e ongoongolelei, mo e māfimafi, ʻo taʻengata pea taʻengata.” (aiōn g165)
And al the creatures which are in heauen, and on the earth, and vnder the earth, and in the sea, and al that are in them, heard I, saying, Praise, and honour, and glory, and power be vnto him, that sitteth vpon the throne, and vnto the Lambe for euermore. (aiōn g165)
14 Pea naʻe pehē ʻe he meʻa moʻui ʻe fā, “ʻEmeni.” Pea naʻe fakafoʻohifo ʻae mātuʻa ʻe toko uofulu ma toko fā, ʻo hū kiate ia ʻoku moʻui ʻo taʻengata pea taʻengata.
And the foure beasts said, Amen, and the foure and twentie Elders fell downe and worshipped him that liueth for euermore.
