< Fakahā 1 >

1 Ko e Fakahā ʻa Sisu Kalaisi, ʻaia naʻe foaki ʻe he ʻOtua kiate ia, ke fakaʻilo ki heʻene kau tamaioʻeiki ʻae ngaahi meʻa ʻoku totonu ke vave ʻa ʻene hoko; pea ne fekau mo fakaʻilo ia ʻe heʻene ʻāngelo ki heʻene tamaioʻeiki ko Sione:
The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to show unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John:
2 ‌ʻAia naʻa ne fakahā ʻae folofola ʻae ʻOtua, pea mo e fakamoʻoni ʻa Sisu Kalaisi, pea mo e ngaahi meʻa kotoa pē naʻa ne mamata ai.
Who bare record of the word (logos) of God, and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, and of all things that he saw.
3 ‌ʻOku monūʻia ia ʻoku ne lau, mo kinautolu ʻoku fanongo, ki he ngaahi lea ʻoe kikite ni, mo fai ʻae ngaahi meʻa ʻoku tohi ʻi ai: he ʻoku ofi ʻae kuonga.
Blessed is he that reads, and they that hear the words (logos) of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.
4 KO AU SIONE ki he siasi ʻe fitu ʻoku ʻi ʻEsia: Ke ʻiate kimoutolu ʻae ʻaloʻofa, mo e monūʻia, meiate ia ʻoku ʻi ai, pea naʻe ʻi ai, pea mo ia ʻe ʻi ai; pea mei he Laumālie ʻe Toko Fitu ʻaia ʻoku ʻi hono muʻa nofoʻa fakaʻeiʻeiki;
John to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace be unto you, and peace, from him which is, and which was, and which is to come; and from the seven Spirits (pneuma) which are before his throne;
5 Pea meia Sisu Kalaisi, ko e Fakamoʻoni angatonu, mo e ʻuluaki fakatupu mei he mate, mo e ʻEiki ʻoe ngaahi tuʻi ʻo māmani; ke ʻiate ia naʻa ne ʻofeina ʻakitautolu, pea ne fufulu ʻakitautolu mei heʻetau ngaahi angahala ʻaki hono taʻataʻa ʻoʻona,
And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the First-Born of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,
6 Pea ne ngaohi ʻakitautolu ko e ngaahi tuʻi, mo e kau taulaʻeiki ki he ʻOtua mo ʻene Tamai; ke ʻiate ia ʻae ongoongolelei mo e pule ʻo taʻengata pea taʻengata. ʻEmeni. (aiōn g165)
And has made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen. (aiōn g165)
7 Vakai, ʻoku hāʻele mai ia mo e ngaahi ʻao; pea ʻe mamata kiate ia ʻae mata kotoa pē, ʻio, mo kinautolu naʻa nau hokaʻi ia: pea ʻe tangi mamahi ʻae ngaahi faʻahinga kotoa pē ʻo māmani koeʻuhi ko ia. Ke pehē pe, ʻEmeni.
Behold, he comes with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all families of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.
8 ‌ʻOku pehē ʻe he ʻEiki, “Ko au ko e ʻAlifa mo e ʻOmeka, ko e kamataʻanga mo e ngataʻanga, ʻaia ʻoku ʻi ai, pea naʻe ʻi ai, pea ko ia ia ʻe ʻi ai, ko e Māfimafi.”
I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, says the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.
9 Ko au Sione, ko homou tokoua, mo e kaunga meʻa ʻi he mamahi, pea mo e puleʻanga mo e faʻa kātaki ʻo Sisu Kalaisi, naʻaku ʻi he motu ʻoku ui ko Patimosi koeʻuhi ko e folofola ʻae ʻOtua, pea koeʻuhi ko e fakamoʻoni ʻo Sisu Kalaisi.
I John, who also am your brother, and companion in tribulation, and in the kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was in the isle that is called Patmos, for the word (logos) of God, and for the testimony of Jesus Christ.
10 Pea ne u ʻi he Laumālie ʻi he ʻaho ʻoe ʻEiki, pea ne u ongoʻi ʻae leʻo lahi mei hoku tuʻa, ʻo hangē ko ha meʻa lea,
I was in the Spirit (pneuma) on the Lord's day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet,
11 ‌ʻOku pehē mai, “Ko au ko e ʻAlifa mo e ʻOmeka, ko e ʻuluaki mo e ki mui:” pea, “Ko hai ʻoku ke mamata ki ai, tohi ʻi ha tohi, ʻo ʻave ki he ngaahi siasi ʻe fitu ʻoku ʻi ʻEsia; ki ʻEfesō, mo Simana, mo Peakamosi, mo Taiataila, mo Satisi, mo Filatelifia, mo Leotisia.”
Saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last: and, What you see, write in a book, and send it unto the seven churches which are in Asia; unto Ephesus, and unto Smyrna, and unto Pergamos, and unto Thyatira, and unto Sardis, and unto Philadelphia, and unto Laodicea.
12 Pea ne u tafoki ke u ʻilo ʻae leʻo naʻe lea kiate au. Pea ʻi heʻeku tafoki, ne u mamata ki he tuʻunga maama koula ʻe fitu;
And I turned to see the voice that spoke with me. And being turned, I saw seven golden candlesticks;
13 Pea ʻi he lotolotonga ʻoe ngaahi tuʻunga maama ʻe fitu, ko e tokotaha ʻo hangē ko e Foha ʻoe tangata, kuo kofuʻaki ʻae kofu naʻe aʻu hifo ki he vaʻe, pea nonoʻo ki hono fatafata ʻaki ʻae noʻo koula.
And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the breast with a golden girdle.
14 Ko hono ʻulu mo e louʻulu naʻe hina ʻo hangē ko e hinehina ʻoe fulufuluʻi sipi, ʻo hangē ko e ʻuha hinehina; pea naʻe tatau hono fofonga mo e ulo ʻoe afi;
His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire;
15 Pea tatau hono vaʻe mo e palasa lelei, ʻo hangē ko ʻene kakaha ʻi he hakaʻanga ukamea; pea ko hono leʻo, naʻe tatau mo e ʻuʻulu ʻoe ngaahi vai lahi.
And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters.
16 Pea naʻe ʻi hono nima toʻomataʻu ʻae fetuʻu ʻe fitu: pea naʻe ʻalu atu ʻi hono ngutu ʻae heletā māsila ʻo fakatoumata: pea naʻe tatau hono fofonga mo e laʻā ʻi heʻene ulo ʻi hono mālohi.
And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp two-edged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shines in his strength.
17 Pea ʻi heʻeku mamata kiate ia, “Ne u tō hifo ʻi hono vaʻe ʻo hangē ha mate. Pea naʻa ne ʻai kiate au hono nima toʻomataʻu, ʻo ne pehē mai kiate au, ʻOua ʻe manavahē; ko au ko e ʻuluaki mo e ki mui:
And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last:
18 Ko au ia ʻoku moʻui, ka ne u mate, pea vakai, ʻoku ou moʻui ʻo taʻengata pea taʻengata, ʻEmeni; pea kuo ʻiate au ʻae kī ʻo hētesi mo e mate. (aiōn g165, Hadēs g86)
I am he that lives, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death. (aiōn g165, Hadēs g86)
19 Tohi ʻae ngaahi meʻa kuo ke mamata ai, mo e ngaahi meʻa ʻoku ʻi ai, pea mo e ngaahi meʻa ʻe hoko ʻamui;
Write the things which you have seen, and the things which are, and the things which shall be hereafter;
20 Ko e fakatātā ʻoe fetuʻu ʻe fitu ʻaia ne ke mamata ʻi hoku nima toʻomataʻu, pea mo e tuʻunga maama koula ʻe fitu. Ko e fetuʻu ʻe fitu, ko e kau ʻāngelo ʻoe ngaahi siasi ʻe fitu: pea ko e tuʻunga maama ʻe fitu ʻaia ne ke mamata ai, ko e ngaahi siasi ia ʻe fitu.
The mystery of the seven stars which you saw in my right hand, and the seven golden candlesticks. The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches: and the seven candlesticks which you saw are the seven churches.
