< Mātiu 8 >

1 Pea kuo ʻalu hifo ʻa Sisu mei he moʻunga, pea muimui ʻiate ia ʻae kakai tokolahi.
Nowe when he was come downe from the mountaine, great multitudes followed him.
2 Pea ʻiloange, kuo haʻu ʻae tangata kilia ʻo hū kiate ia, ʻo pehē, “ʻEiki, kapau ko ho finangalo, ʻoku ke faʻa fakamaʻa au.”
And loe, there came a Leper and worshipped him, saying, Master, if thou wilt, thou canst make me cleane.
3 Pea mafao atu ʻe Sisu ʻa hono nima, ʻo ala kiate ia, ʻo pehē, “Ko hoku loto ia; ke ke maʻa koe.” Pea fakamaʻa leva hono kilia.
And Iesus putting foorth his hand, touched him, saying, I will, be thou cleane: and immediatly his leprosie was clensed.
4 Pea pehē ʻe Sisu kiate ia, “Vakai ke ʻoua naʻa ke tala ia ki ha tokotaha; ka ke ʻalu, ʻo fakahā koe ki he taulaʻeiki, mo ʻoatu ʻae meʻaʻofa naʻe fekau ʻe Mōsese, ko e fakamoʻoni kiate kinautolu.”
Then Iesus saide vnto him, See thou tell no man, but goe, and shewe thy selfe vnto the Priest, and offer the gift that Moses commanded, for a witnesse to them.
5 Pea kuo hoko ʻa Sisu ki Kapaneume, naʻe haʻu kiate ia ha ʻeikitau, ʻo kole kiate ia,
When Iesus was entred into Capernaum, there came vnto him a Centurion, beseeching him,
6 ‌ʻO ne pehē, “ʻEiki, ʻoku tokoto ʻeku tamaioʻeiki ʻi ʻapi ʻoku mahaki ʻi he mahaki tete, pea mamahi lahi.”
And saide, Master, my seruant lieth sicke at home of the palsie, and is grieuously pained.
7 Pea pehēange ʻe Sisu kiate ia, “Te u ʻalu atu ʻo fakamoʻui ia.”
And Iesus saide vnto him, I will come and heale him.
But the Centurion answered, saying, Master, I am not worthy that thou shouldest come vnder my roofe: but speake the worde onely, and my seruant shall be healed.
9 He ko e tangata puleʻia au, ka ʻoku ai ʻae kautau ʻoku ou puleʻi: pea ʻoku ou pehē ki ha taha, ‘ʻAlu,’ pea ʻalu ia; pea ki ha taha, ‘Haʻu,’ pea haʻu ia; pea ki heʻeku tamaioʻeiki, ‘Fai eni,’ pea ʻoku ne fai ia.”
For I am a man also vnder the authoritie of an other, and haue souldiers vnder me: and I say to one, Goe, and he goeth: and to another, Come, and he commeth: and to my seruant, Doe this, and he doeth it.
10 Pea kuo fanongo ʻa Sisu, pea ofo ia, ʻo ne pehē kiate kinautolu naʻe muimui mai, “ʻOku ou tala moʻoni atu kiate kimoutolu, naʻa mo ʻIsileli, ʻoku ʻikai te u ʻilo ai ha tui ʻe pehē ni hono lahi.
When Iesus heard that, he marueiled, and said to them that folowed him, Verely, I say vnto you, I haue not found so great faith, euen in Israel.
11 Pea ʻoku ou tala ʻatu kiate kimoutolu, ʻE haʻu ʻae tokolahi mei he potu hahake mo e potu lulunga, ʻonau nonofo mo ʻEpalahame, mo ʻAisake, mo Sēkope, ʻi he puleʻanga ʻoe langi.
But I say vnto you, that many shall come from the East and West, and shall sit downe with Abraham, and Isaac, and Iacob, in the kingdome of heauen.
12 Ka ko e fānau ʻoe puleʻanga ʻe kapusi kituaʻā ki he fakapoʻuli: pea ʻe ʻi ai ʻae tangi mo e fengaiʻitaki ʻoe nifo.”
And the children of the kingdome shall be cast out into vtter darkenes: there shalbe weeping and gnashing of teeth.
13 Pea talaange ʻe Sisu ki he ʻeikitau, “Ke ke ʻalu, pea ʻe fai kiate koe, ʻo hangē ko hoʻo tui.” Pea naʻe moʻui ʻene tamaioʻeiki ʻi he feituʻulaʻā ko ia.
Then Iesus saide vnto the Centurion, Goe thy way, and as thou hast beleeued, so be it vnto thee, And his seruant was healed the same houre.
14 Pea kuo hū ʻa Sisu ki he fale ʻo Pita, pea mamata ia ki he faʻē ʻa hono uaifi ʻoku tokoto ia, ʻi he mahaki ko e mofi.
And when Iesus came to Peters house, he sawe his wiues mother layed downe, and sicke of a feuer.
15 Pea naʻa ne ala ki hono nima, pea mahuʻi ʻiate ia ʻae mofi: pea tuʻu hake ia, ʻo ne tauhi ʻakinautolu.
And he touched her hande, and the feuer left her: so she arose, and ministred vnto them.
16 Pea kuo efiafi, naʻa nau ʻomi kiate ia ʻae tokolahi kuo ʻulusino ai ʻae kau tēvolo: pea ne kapusi ʻae kau laumālie ʻaki ʻa [ʻene lea, ]ʻo ne fakamoʻui ʻakinautolu kotoa pē naʻe mahaki:
When the Euen was come, they brought vnto him many that were possessed with deuils: and he cast out the spirits with his worde, and healed all that were sicke,
That it might be fulfilled, which was spoken by Esaias the Prophet, saying, He tooke our infirmities, and bare our sickenesses.
18 Pea ʻi he mamata ʻa Sisu kuo tokolahi ʻae kakai ʻoku foliaki ʻiate ia, ne ne fekau ke ʻalu ki he kauvai ʻe taha.
And when Iesus sawe great multitudes of people about him, he commanded them to goe ouer the water.
19 Pea naʻe haʻu ʻae tangata tohi ʻe tokotaha, ʻo ne pehē kiate ia, “ʻEiki, te u muimui ʻiate koe ʻi he potu kotoa pē te ke ʻalu ki ai.”
Then came there a certaine Scribe, and said vnto him, Master, I will follow thee whithersoeuer thou goest.
20 Pea pehēange ʻe Sisu kiate ia, “ʻOku maʻu ʻe he fanga fokisi ʻae tafu, mo e fanga manu ʻoe ʻatā ʻae moheʻanga; ka ʻoku ʻikai maʻu ʻe he Foha ʻoe tangata ha potu ke tokoto ai hono ʻulu.”
But Iesus saide vnto him, The foxes haue holes, and the birdes of the heauen haue nestes, but the Sonne of man hath not whereon to rest his head.
21 Pea pehē ʻene ākonga ʻe taha kiate ia, “ʻEiki, tuku au ke u tomuʻa ʻalu ʻo tanu ʻeku tamai.
And another of his disciples saide vnto him, Master, suffer me first to goe, and burie my father.
22 Ka naʻe talaange ʻe Sisu kiate ia, “Muimui ʻiate au; pea tuku ke tanu ʻe he mate honau mate.”
But Iesus said vnto him, Followe me, and let the dead burie their dead.
23 Pea kuo heka vaka ia, kae muimui ʻene kau ākonga ʻiate ia.
And when he was entred into ye ship, his disciples followed him.
24 Pea vakai, naʻe tō ʻae taufa lahi ʻi he tahi, pea fakapūlou ʻaki ʻae vaka ʻae ngaahi peau: ka naʻe mohe ia.
And beholde, there arose a great tempest in the sea, so that the ship was couered with waues: but he was a sleepe.
25 Pea haʻu ʻene kau ākonga, ʻo fafangu ia, mo nau pehē, “ʻEiki, fakamoʻui ʻakimautolu; kuo tau mate!”
Then his disciples came, and awoke him, saying, Master, saue vs: we perish.

And he said vnto them, Why are ye fearefull, O ye of litle faith? Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea: and so there was a great calme.
27 Ka naʻe ofo ai ʻae kau tangata, ʻo[nau ]pehē, “Ko e tangata hā eni, koeʻuhi ʻoku talangofua kiate ia ʻae matangi mo e tahi!”
And the men marueiled, saying, What man is this, that both the windes and the sea obey him!
28 Pea kuo hoko ia ki he kauvai ʻe taha, ki he fonua ʻoe Kekesini, naʻe fakafetaulaki kiate ia ʻae toko ua naʻe ʻulusino ai ʻae kau tēvolo, ko ʻena omi mei he ngaahi faʻitoka, kuo lili ʻaupito ʻaupito, ko ia naʻe ʻikai faʻa ʻalu ai ha taha ʻo ofi ki he hala ko ia.
And when he was come to the other side into ye countrey of the Gergesenes, there met him two possessed with deuils, which came out of the graues very fierce, so that no man might goe by that way.
29 Pea ʻiloange, kuo na kalanga, ʻo pehē, “Ko e hā ʻakimaua kiate koe, ʻe Sisu, ko e ʻAlo ʻoe ʻOtua? He kuo ke haʻu ki heni ke tomuʻa tautea ʻakimaua ʻi he teʻeki ai hoko ʻae kuonga?”
And beholde, they cryed out, saying, Iesus the sonne of God, what haue we to do with thee? Art thou come hither to tormet vs before ye time?
30 Pea naʻe ʻi he mamaʻo atu ʻiate kinautolu ʻae fanga puaka lahi naʻe fafanga.
Nowe there was, afarre off from them, a great heard of swine feeding.
31 Pea kole ʻae kau tēvolo kiate ia, ʻo pehē, “Kapau ʻoku ke kapusi ʻakimautolu kituʻa, tuku ke mau hū ki he fanga puaka.”
And the deuils besought him, saying, If thou cast vs out, suffer vs to goe into the heard of swine.
32 Pea talaange ʻe ia kiate kinautolu, “ʻAlu.” Pea kuo nau haʻu kituʻa, mo nau hū ki he fanga puaka: pea ʻiloange, kuo feleleʻi ʻo ʻoho ʻae fanga puaka kotoa pē ʻi he potu tahifohifo ki tahi, pea ʻauha ai ʻi he vai.
And he said vnto them, Go. So they went out and departed into the heard of swine: and beholde, the whole heard of swine ranne headlong into the sea, and died in the water.
33 Pea feholaki ʻakinautolu naʻe tauhi ia, ʻo ʻalu ki he kolo, pea fakahā ʻae meʻa kotoa pē, mo ia kuo hoko kiate kinaua naʻe ʻulusino ai ʻae kau tēvolo.
Then the heardmen fled: and when they were come into the citie, they tolde all things, and what was become of them that were possessed with the deuils.
34 Pea vakai, naʻe haʻu kituʻa ʻae kolo kotoa pē ke nau fakafetaulaki kia Sisu: pea kuo nau mamata ki ai, naʻa nau kole [kiate ia ]ke ne ʻalu mei honau fonua.
And beholde, all ye citie came out to meete Iesus: and when they sawe him, they besought him to depart out of their coastes.
