< Kaletia 1 >

1 Ko au Paula, ko e ʻaposetolo, (ʻikai mei he kau tangata, pe ʻi ha tangata, kae meia Sisu Kalaisi, mo e ʻOtua ko e Tamai, ʻaia naʻa ne fokotuʻu hake ia mei he pekia; )
Paul, an apostle, (not of men, neither by man, but by Jesus Christ, and God the Father, who raised him from the dead; )
2 Pea mo e ngaahi kāinga kotoa pē ʻoku ʻiate au, ki he ngaahi siasi ʻi Kalētia:
And all the brothers which are with me, to the churches of Galatia:
3 Ke ʻiate kimoutolu ʻae ʻofa mo e melino mei he ʻOtua ko e Tamai, pea mo hotau ʻEiki ko Sisu Kalaisi,
Grace be to you and peace from God the Father, and from our Lord Jesus Christ,
4 ‌ʻAia naʻa ne foaki ia koeʻuhi ko ʻetau ngaahi angahala, koeʻuhi ke ne fakamoʻui ʻakitautolu mei he maama kovi ni, ʻo fakatatau ki he finangalo ʻoe ʻOtua ko ʻetau Tamai: (aiōn g165)
Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father: (aiōn g165)
5 Ke ʻiate ia pe ʻae fakafetaʻi ke taʻengata pea taʻengata. ʻEmeni. (aiōn g165)
To whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen. (aiōn g165)
6 ‌ʻOku ou ofo ʻi hoʻomou hiki vave pehē meiate ia naʻa ne uiuiʻi ʻakimoutolu ʻi he ʻofa ʻa Kalaisi, ki he ongoongolelei ʻe taha:
I marvel that you are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ to another gospel:
7 ‌ʻAia ʻoku ʻikai “ko e taha kehe moʻoni;” ka ʻoku ai ʻae niʻihi ʻoku fakamamahi ʻakimoutolu, pea ko honau loto ke fakakehe ʻae ongoongolelei ʻa Kalaisi.
Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.
8 Kapau ʻe malangaʻaki ʻekimautolu, pe ha ʻāngelo mei he langi, ha ongoongolelei kehe kiate kimoutolu, ka ʻoku ʻikai ko ia naʻa mau malangaʻaki kiate kimoutolu, ke malaʻia pe ia.
But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than that which we have preached to you, let him be accursed.
9 ‌ʻO hangē ko ia naʻa mau tomuʻa lea ʻaki, peau toe lea ʻaki eni, Kapau ʻe malangaʻaki ʻe ha taha ha ongoongolelei kehe kiate kimoutolu, kae ʻikai ko ia kuo mou maʻu, ke malaʻia pe ia.
As we said before, so say I now again, if any man preach any other gospel to you than that you have received, let him be accursed.
10 He ʻoku ou fai ni ko e fakafiemālieʻi ki he tangata, pe ko e ʻOtua? Pe ko ʻeku fai ni ke lelei pe ki he tangata? He kapau ʻoku ou kei fai ke lelei ki he tangata, ʻoku ʻikai ko e tamaioʻeiki au ʻa Kalaisi.
For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.
11 Pea ʻoku ou fakapapau atu kiate kimoutolu, ʻe kāinga, ko e ongoongolelei naʻaku malangaʻaki, ʻoku ʻikai mei he tangata ia.
But I certify you, brothers, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man.
12 He naʻe ʻikai te u maʻu ia mei ha tangata, pea naʻe ʻikai ako ia kiate au, ka ʻi hono fakahā mai ʻe Sisu Kalaisi.
For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.
13 He kuo mou fanongo ki heʻeku ʻulungāanga ʻi muʻa ʻi he lotu fakaSiu, he naʻaku fakatanga ʻo lahi hake ʻaupito ʻae siasi ʻoe ʻOtua, ʻo maumauʻi ia:
For you have heard of my conversation in time past in the Jews’ religion, how that beyond measure I persecuted the church of God, and wasted it:
14 Mo ʻeku fai lahi ki he lotu fakaSiu ʻo lahi hake ʻi he tokolahi naʻa mau toʻutangata ʻi hoku fonua, he naʻaku fai feinga ʻo lahi hake ʻaupito ki he ngaahi talatupuʻa ʻa ʻeku ngaahi tamai.
And profited in the Jews’ religion above many my equals in my own nation, being more exceedingly zealous of the traditions of my fathers.
15 Ka ʻi he finangalo lelei ʻoe ʻOtua, ʻaia naʻa ne fakamavae au mei he manāva ʻo ʻeku faʻē, ʻo ne ui au ʻi heʻene angaʻofa,
But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother’s womb, and called me by his grace,
16 Ke fakahā hono ʻAlo ʻiate au, koeʻuhi ke u malangaʻaki ia ʻi he ngaahi Senitaile; naʻe ʻikai leva te u fakakaukau mo e kakano mo e toto:
To reveal his Son in me, that I might preach him among the heathen; immediately I conferred not with flesh and blood:
17 Pea naʻe ʻikai te u ʻalu hake ki Selūsalema kiate kinautolu naʻe ʻaposetolo ʻi muʻa ʻiate au; ka naʻaku ʻalu ki ʻAlepea, peau toe liu mai ki Tamasikusi.
Neither went I up to Jerusalem to them which were apostles before me; but I went into Arabia, and returned again to Damascus.
18 Pea hili ʻae taʻu ʻe tolu, ne u ʻalu hake ki Selūsalema, ke feʻiloaki mo Pita, pea nofo mo ia ʻi he ʻaho ʻe hongofulu ma nima.
Then after three years I went up to Jerusalem to see Peter, and stayed with him fifteen days.
19 Ka naʻe ʻikai te u mamata ki ha niʻihi ʻoe kau ʻaposetolo, ka ko Semisi, ko e tokoua ʻoe ʻEiki.
But other of the apostles saw I none, save James the Lord’s brother.
20 Pea ko eni, ko e ngaahi meʻa ʻoku ou tohi kiate kimoutolu, vakai, ʻi he ʻao ʻoe ʻOtua, ʻoku ʻikai teu loi.
Now the things which I write to you, behold, before God, I lie not.
21 Hili ia, naʻaku haʻu ki he ngaahi potu ʻo Silia mo Silisia;
Afterwards I came into the regions of Syria and Cilicia;
22 Pea naʻe ʻikai ʻiloa hoku mata ʻe he ngaahi siasi ʻo Siutea ʻaia naʻe ʻia Kalaisi:
And was unknown by face to the churches of Judaea which were in Christ:
23 Kae ngata pe ʻi heʻenau fanongo, “Ko ia ia naʻa ne fakatangaʻi ʻakitautolu ʻi muʻa, ʻoku ne malangaʻaki ni ʻae tui ʻaia naʻa ne tomuʻa maumauʻi.”
But they had heard only, That he which persecuted us in times past now preaches the faith which once he destroyed.
24 Pea naʻa nau fakaongoongoleleiʻi ʻae ʻOtua koeʻuhi ko au.
And they glorified God in me.
