కీర్తనల~ గ్రంథము 78

1 ౧ ఆసాపు కీర్తన. మస్కిల్ (దైవధ్యానం) నా ప్రజలారా, నా బోధను ఆలకించండి. నేను చెప్పే మాటలు వినండి.

[A Psalm] of instruction for Asaph. Give heed, O my people, to my law: incline your ear to the words of my mouth.

2 ౨ నా నోటితో జ్ఞానయుక్తమైన మాటలు చెబుతాను. పూర్వకాలం నుండీ రహస్యంగా ఉన్న విషయాలు నేను తెలియజేస్తాను.

I will open my mouth in parables: I will utter dark sayings [which have been] from the beginning.

3 ౩ మాకు తెలిసిన సంగతులను, మా పూర్వికులు మాకు తెలిపిన సంగతులను చెబుతాను.

All which we have heard and known, and our fathers have declared to us.

4 ౪ యెహోవా చేసిన గొప్ప కార్యాలను, ఆయన బలాన్ని, ఆయన చేసిన ఆశ్చర్య క్రియలను దాచకుండా వారి పిల్లలకు మేము వినిపిస్తాం.

They were not hid from their children to a second generations; [the fathers] declaring the praises of the Lord, and his mighty acts, and his wonders which he wrought.

5 ౫ రాబోయే తరాల్లో పుట్టే పిల్లలు దాన్ని తెలుసుకుని తమ పిల్లలకు దాన్ని వివరించాలి. వారు కూడా దేవునిలో నిరీక్షణ ఉంచి దేవుని కార్యాలు మరచిపోకూడదు.

And he raised up a testimony in Jacob, and appointed a law in Israel, which he commanded our fathers, to make it known to their children:

6 ౬ వారి పూర్వికులు యథార్థహృదయులు కారు. దేవుని విషయంలో స్థిర బుద్ధి లేనివారై ఆయనపై తిరగబడ్డారు.

that another generation might know, even the sons which should be born; and they should arise and declare them to their children.

7 ౭ మీరు ఆ తరం వారిలాగా ఉండకూడదు. ఆయన ఆజ్ఞలు అనుసరించాలి.

That they might set their hope on God, and not forget the works of God, but diligently seek his commandments.

8 ౮ ఆయన యాకోబు సంతానానికి శాసనాలు ఏర్పాటు చేశాడు. ఇశ్రాయేలు సంతానానికి ధర్మశాస్త్రం అనుగ్రహించాడు. తమ సంతానానికి దాన్ని నేర్పించాలని మన పూర్వీకులకు ఆజ్ఞాపించాడు.

That they should not be as their fathers, a perverse and provoking generation; a generation which set not its heart aright, and its spirit was not steadfast with God.

9 ౯ ఎఫ్రాయిము గోత్రం వారు విల్లంబులు పట్టుకుని యుద్ధానికి సిద్ధపడ్డారు కానీ యుద్ధం జరిగిన రోజు వెనక్కి తిరిగి పారిపోయారు.

The children of Ephraim, bending and shooting [with] the bow, turned [back] in the day of battle.

10 ౧౦ వారు దేవునితో నిబంధనను నెరవేర్చలేదు. ఆయన ధర్మశాస్త్రాన్ని అనుసరించ లేదు.

They kept not the covenant of God, and would not walk in his law.

11 ౧౧ ఆయన చేసిన కార్యాలూ ఆయన వారికి చూపిన తన ఆశ్చర్య క్రియలూ వారు మర్చి పోయారు.

And they forgot his benefits, and his miracles which he [had] showed them;

12 ౧౨ ఈజిప్టుదేశంలోని సోయను ప్రాంతంలో వారి పూర్వీకుల మధ్య ఆయన ఆశ్చర్యకార్యాలు చేశాడు.

the miracles which he wrought before their fathers, in the land of Egypt, in the plain of Tanes.

13 ౧౩ ఆయన సముద్రాన్ని రెండుగా చీల్చి వారిని అవతలికి దాటించాడు. నీటిని రెండు వైపులా గోడల్లాగా నిలబెట్టాడు.

He clave the sea, and led them through: he made the waters to stand as [in] a bottle.

14 ౧౪ పగలు మేఘంలో నుండీ రాత్రి అగ్ని వెలుగులో నుండీ ఆయన వారిని నడిపించాడు.

And he guided them with a cloud by day, and all the night with a light of fire.

15 ౧౫ అరణ్యంలో బండరాయిని చీల్చి సముద్రమంత సమృద్ధిగా వారికి నీరు అనుగ్రహించాడు.

he clave a rock in the wilderness, and made them drink as in a great deep.

16 ౧౬ బండలోనుండి ఆయన నీటికాలువలు పారజేశాడు.

And he brought water out of the rock, and caused waters to flow down as rivers.

17 ౧౭ అయినా వారు మహోన్నతుని మీద తిరుగుబాటు చేసి ఆయనకు వ్యతిరేకంగా పాపం చేస్తూనే వచ్చారు.

And they sinned yet more against him; they provoked the Most High in the wilderness.

18 ౧౮ వారు తమ ఆశకొద్దీ ఆహారం అడుగుతూ తమ హృదయాల్లో దేవుణ్ణి పరీక్షించారు.

And they tempted God in their hearts, in asking meat for [the desire of] their souls.

19 ౧౯ ఈ అరణ్యంలో దేవుడు భోజనం సిద్ధపరచగలడా?

They spoke also against God, and said, Will God be able to prepare a table in the wilderness?

20 ౨౦ ఆయన గండ శిలను కొట్టినప్పుడు నీరు ఉబికి కాలువలై పారింది. ఆయన మనకు ఆహారం కూడా ఇవ్వగలడా? తన ప్రజలకు మాంసం సమకూర్చగలడా? అని వారు చెప్పుకుంటూ దేవునికి విరోధంగా మాట్లాడారు.

Forasmuch as he struck the rock, and the waters flowed, and the torrents ran abundantly; will he be able also to give bread, or prepare a table for his people?

21 ౨౧ యెహోవా ఈ మాట విని కోపగించాడు. యాకోబు సంతానాన్ని దహించడానికి ఆయన అగ్ని రాజుకుంది. ఇశ్రాయేలు సంతానం మీద ఆయన కోపం రగులుకుంది.

Therefore the Lord heard, and was provoked: and fire was kindled in Jacob, and wrath went up against Israel.

22 ౨౨ వారు దేవునిలో విశ్వాసముంచలేదు. ఆయన అనుగ్రహించిన రక్షణలో నమ్మకం పెట్టుకోలేదు.

Because they believed not in God, and trusted not in his salvation.

23 ౨౩ అయినప్పటికీ ఆయన పైనున్న ఆకాశాలకు ఆజ్ఞాపించాడు. అంతరిక్ష ద్వారాలను తెరిచాడు.

Yet he commanded the clouds from above, and opened the doors of heaven,

24 ౨౪ ఆయన వారికి ఆహారంగా మన్నాను కురిపించాడు. ఆకాశధాన్యం వారికి అనుగ్రహించాడు.

and rained upon them manna to eat, and gave them the bread of heaven.

25 ౨౫ మనుషులు దేవదూతల ఆహారం తిన్నారు. ఆయన వారికి ఆహారం సమృద్ధిగా పంపించాడు.

Man ate angels' bread; he sent them provision to the full.

26 ౨౬ ఆకాశంలో తూర్పు గాలి విసిరేలా చేశాడు. తన బలంతో దక్షిణపు గాలి రప్పించాడు.

He removed the south wind from heaven; and by his might he brought in the southwest wind.

27 ౨౭ ధూళి అంత విస్తారంగా మాంసాన్నీ సముద్రపు ఇసుక రేణువులంత విస్తారంగా పక్షులనూ ఆయన వారి కోసం కురిపించాడు.

And he rained upon them flesh like dust, and feathered birds like the sand of the seas.

28 ౨౮ అవి వారి శిబిరం మధ్యలో వారి గుడారాల చుట్టూ రాలి పడ్డాయి.

And they fell into the midst of their camp, round about their tents.

29 ౨౯ వారు కడుపారా తిన్నారు. వారు దేని కోసం వెంపర్లాడారో దాన్ని ఆయన అనుగ్రహించాడు.

So they ate, and were completely filled; and he gave them their desire.

30 ౩౦ అయితే, వారి ఆశ తీరక ముందే, అంటే ఆహారం ఇంకా వారి నోటిలో ఉండగానే,

They were not disappointed of their desire: [but] when their food was yet in their mouth,

31 ౩౧ వారి మీద దేవుని కోపం చెలరేగింది. వారిలో బలమైన వారిని ఆయన సంహరించాడు. ఇశ్రాయేలు యువకులు కూలిపోయేలా చేశాడు.

then the indignation of God rose up against them, and killed the fattest of them, and overthrew the choice men of Israel.

32 ౩౨ ఇంత జరిగినా వారు ఇంకా పాపం చేస్తూ వచ్చారు. ఆయన ఆశ్చర్యకార్యాలను చూసి ఆయన్ని నమ్మలేదు.

In the midst of all this they sinned yet more, and believed not his miracles.

33 ౩౩ కాబట్టి ఆయన వారి రోజులు తక్కువ చేశాడు. వారి సంవత్సరాలు భయంతో నింపాడు.

And their days were consumed in vanity, and their years with anxiety.

34 ౩౪ ఆయన వారిని బాధలకు గురి చేసినప్పుడల్లా వారు ఆయన వైపు తిరిగి హృదయపూర్వకంగా దేవుణ్ణి బతిమాలుకున్నారు.

When he killed them, they sought him: and they returned and called betimes upon God.

35 ౩౫ దేవుడు తమ ఆశ్రయదుర్గమనీ మహోన్నతుడైన దేవుడు తమకు విమోచకుడనీ వారు జ్ఞాపకం చేసుకున్నారు.

And they remembered that God was their helper, and the most high God was their redeemer.

36 ౩౬ అయితే వారు తమ నోటితో పైపైనే ఆయన్ని స్తుతించారు. తమ నాలుకలతో ఆయన ఎదుట అబద్ధాలు పలికారు.

Yet they loved him [only] with their mouth, and lied to him with their tongue.

37 ౩౭ ఎందుకంటే వారి హృదయం ఆయన మీద నిలుపుకోలేదు. ఆయన నిబంధనను నమ్మకంగా పాటించలేదు.

For their heart [was] not right with him, neither were they steadfast in his covenant.

38 ౩౮ అయితే ఆయన తన కనికరాన్ని బట్టి వారిని నాశనానికి గురి చేయకుండా వారి దోషాన్ని క్షమించాడు. చాలాసార్లు తన ఉగ్రతను రేపుకోకుండా దాన్ని అణచుకున్నాడు.

But he is compassionate, and will forgive their sins, and will not destroy [them]: yes, he will frequently turn away his wrath, and will not kindle all his anger.

39 ౩౯ ఎందుకంటే వారు కేవలం మానవమాత్రులనీ, వీచిన తరవాత తిరిగిరాని గాలిలాంటి వారనీ ఆయన జ్ఞాపకం చేసుకున్నాడు.

And he remembered that they are flesh; a wind that passes away, and returns not.

40 ౪౦ అరణ్యంలో వారు ఆయన మీద ఎన్నోసార్లు తిరగబడ్డారు. ఎడారిలో ఆయనను ఎన్నోసార్లు దుఃఖపెట్టారు.

How often did they provoke him in the wilderness, [and] anger him in a dry land!

41 ౪౧ మాటిమాటికీ దేవుణ్ణి శోధించారు. మాటిమాటికీ ఇశ్రాయేలు పరిశుద్ధ దేవునికి దుఃఖం పుట్టించారు.

Yes, they turned back, and tempted God, and provoked the Holy One of Israel.

42 ౪౨ ఆయన బాహుబలాన్నీ, ఏ విధంగా ఆయన తమ శత్రువుల చేతిలో నుండి తమను విమోచించాడో దానినీ,

They remembered not his hand, the day in which he delivered them from the hand of the oppressor.

43 ౪౩ ఈజిప్టులో ఆయన చూపిన సూచక క్రియలనూ సోయను ప్రాంతంలో ఆయన చేసిన అద్భుతాలనూ వారు జ్ఞాపకం చేసుకోలేదు.

How he had wrought his signs in Egypt, and his wonders in the field of Tanes:

44 ౪౪ నైలునది కాలవలను, వారి ప్రవాహాలను ఆయన రక్తంగా మార్చినప్పుడు ఐగుప్తీయులు తాగలేక పోయారు.

and had changed their rivers into blood; and their streams, that they should not drink.

45 ౪౫ ఆయన వారి మీదికి ఈగల గుంపులను పంపించాడు. అవి వారిని ముంచివేశాయి, కప్పలను పంపాడు. అవి వారి నేలంతటినీ కప్పివేశాయి.

He sent against them the dog-fly, and it devoured them; and the frog, and it spoiled them.

46 ౪౬ ఆయన వారి పంటలను చీడపురుగులకిచ్చాడు. వారి కష్టఫలాన్ని మిడతలకు అప్పగించాడు.

And he gave their fruit to the canker worm, and their labours to the locust.

47 ౪౭ వడగండ్ల చేత వారి ద్రాక్షతీగెలను, మంచు చేత వారి మేడిచెట్లను ఆయన పాడు చేశాడు.

He killed their vines with hail, and their sycamores with frost.

48 ౪౮ వారి పశువులపై వడగళ్ళు కురిపించాడు. వారి మందలపై పిడుగులు రాలాయి.

And he gave up their cattle to hail, and their substance to the fire.

49 ౪౯ ఆయన విపత్తును కలిగించే దూతలుగా తన ఉగ్రతను, మహోగ్రతను, బాధను వారి మీదికి పంపించాడు.

He sent out against them the fury of his anger, wrath, and indignation, and affliction, a message by evil angels.

50 ౫౦ తన కోపానికి దారి చదునుగా చేశాడు. వారిని మరణం నుండి తప్పించకుండా వారి ప్రాణాన్ని తెగులుకు అప్పగించాడు.

He made a way for his wrath; he spared not their souls from death, but consigned their cattle to death;

51 ౫౧ ఈజిప్టులోని పెద్ద కొడుకులందరినీ హాము గుడారాల్లో వారి బలానికి గుర్తుగా ఉన్న ప్రథమ సంతానాన్ని ఆయన చంపాడు.

and struck every firstborn in the land of Egypt; the first fruits of their labours in the tents of Cham.

52 ౫౨ ఆ తరవాత ఆయన తన ప్రజలను గొర్రెలను తోలినట్టుగా నడిపించాడు. ఒకడు తన మందను ఎలా నడిపిస్తాడో అరణ్యంలో ఆయన వారిని అలా నడిపించాడు.

And he removed his people like sheep; he led them as a flock in the wilderness.

53 ౫౩ వారు భయపడకుండా ఆయన వారిని సురక్షితంగా నడిపించాడు. వారి శత్రువులను సముద్రంలో ముంచివేశాడు.

And he guided them with hope, and they feared not: but the sea covered their enemies.

54 ౫౪ తన పరిశుద్ధ భూమి సరిహద్దు దగ్గరికి, తన కుడిచెయ్యి సంపాదించిన ఈ పర్వతం దగ్గరికి ఆయన వారిని రప్పించాడు.

And he brought them in to the mountain of his sanctuary, this mountain which his right hand had purchased.

55 ౫౫ వారి ఎదుట నుండి అన్య జాతులను వెళ్లగొట్టాడు. ఆ ప్రజల వారసత్వాన్ని వారికి పంచి ఇచ్చాడు. ఇశ్రాయేలు గోత్రాలను వారి గుడారాల్లో స్థిరపరిచాడు.

And he cast out the nations from before them, and made them to inherit by a line of inheritance, and made the tribes of Israel to dwell in their tents.

56 ౫౬ అయినప్పటికీ వారు మహోన్నతుడైన దేవుణ్ణి పరీక్షించి తిరుగుబాటు చేశారు. ఆయన శాసనాలను పాటించలేదు.

Yet they tempted and provoked the most high God, and kept not his testimonies.

57 ౫౭ తమ పూర్వికుల్లాగా వారు అపనమ్మకస్తులై ద్రోహం చేశారు. పనికిరాని విల్లులాగా నిష్ప్రయోజకులయ్యారు.

And they turned back, and broke covenant, even as also their fathers: they became like a crooked bow.

58 ౫౮ వారు ఉన్నత స్థలాల్లో దేవస్థానాలు నిలిపి ఆయనకు కోపం పుట్టించారు. విగ్రహాలు నిలబెట్టి ఆయనకు రోషం కలిగించారు.

And they provoked him with their high places, and moved him to jealousy with their graven images.

59 ౫౯ దాన్ని చూసిన దేవుడు ఆగ్రహించి ఇశ్రాయేలును పూర్తిగా తోసిపుచ్చాడు.

God heard and lightly regarded [them], and greatly despised Israel.

60 ౬౦ షిలోహు పట్టణంలో మందిరాన్ని, తాను మనుషులతో కలిసి నివసించిన గుడారాన్ని విడిచిపెట్టాడు.

And he rejected the tabernacle of Selom, his tent where he lived amongst men.

61 ౬౧ ఆయన తన బలాన్ని చెరలోకీ తన మహిమను విరోధుల చేతిలోకీ వెళ్ళడానికి అనుమతించాడు.

And he gave their strength into captivity, and their beauty into the enemy's hand.

62 ౬౨ తన ప్రజలను ఖడ్గానికి అప్పగించాడు. ఆయన తన వారసత్వం మీద కోపించాడు.

And he gave his people to the sword; and disdained his inheritance.

63 ౬౩ అగ్ని వారి యువకులను దహించివేసింది. వారి కన్యలకు పెండ్లిపాటలు లేకుండా పోయాయి.

Fire devoured their young men; and their virgins mourned not.

64 ౬౪ వారి యాజకులు కత్తిపాలై కూలిపోయారు. విధవలైన వారి భార్యలు రోదనం చేయలేక పోయారు.

Their priests fell by the sword; and their widows shall not be wept for.

65 ౬౫ అప్పుడు నిద్ర నుండి మేల్కొన్న వ్యక్తిలాగా, ద్రాక్షరసం తాగి కేకపెట్టే యోధుడిలాగా ప్రభువు లేచాడు.

So the Lord awaked as one out of sleep, [and] as a mighty man who has been heated with wine.

66 ౬౬ ఆయన తన విరోధులను వెనక్కి తరిమికొట్టాడు. వారిని నిత్యమైన అవమానానికి గురి చేశాడు.

And he struck his enemies in the hinder parts: he brought on them a perpetual reproach.

67 ౬౭ తరవాత ఆయన యోసేపు గుడారాన్ని అసహ్యించుకున్నాడు. ఎఫ్రాయిము గోత్రాన్ని కోరుకోలేదు.

And he rejected the tabernacle of Joseph, and chose not the tribe of Ephraim;

68 ౬౮ యూదా గోత్రాన్ని, తాను ప్రేమించిన సీయోను పర్వతాన్ని ఆయన ఎన్నుకున్నాడు.

but chose the tribe of Juda, the mount Sion which he loved.

69 ౬౯ అంతరిక్షంలాగా, తాను శాశ్వతంగా స్థిరపరచిన భూమిలాగా ఆయన తన మందిరాన్ని కట్టించాడు.

And he built his sanctuary as [the place] of unicorns; he founded it for ever on the earth.

70 ౭౦ తన సేవకుడు దావీదును ఎన్నుకుని గొర్రెల మందల మధ్య నుండి అతణ్ణి పిలిపించాడు.

He chose David also his servant, and took him up from the flocks of sheep.

71 ౭౧ పాలిచ్చే గొర్రెల వెంట నడవడం మాన్పించి తన ప్రజలైన యాకోబును, తన వారసత్వమైన ఇశ్రాయేలును మేపడానికి ఆయన అతణ్ణి రప్పించాడు.

He took him from following the ewes great with young, to be the shepherd of Jacob his servant, and Israel his inheritance.

72 ౭౨ అతడు యథార్థ హృదయంతో వారిని పాలించాడు. నైపుణ్యంతో వారిని నడిపించాడు.

So he tended them in the innocency of his heart; and guided them by the skilfulness of his hands.
