சங்கீதம் 8

1 ௧ கித்தீத் என்ற இசைக் கருவியில் வாசிக்க இராகத் தலைவனுக்குத் தந்த தாவீதின் பாடல். எங்கள் ஆண்டவராகிய யெகோவாவே, உம்முடைய பெயர் பூமியெங்கும் எவ்வளவு மேன்மையுள்ளதாக இருக்கிறது! உம்முடைய மகத்துவத்தை வானங்களுக்கு மேலாக வைத்தீர்.

To the choirmaster on the Gittith a psalm of David. O Yahweh lord our how! majestic [is] name your in all the earth [the one] who set! splendor your above the heavens.

2 ௨ விரோதியையும், பழிகாரனையும் அடக்கிப்போட, தேவனே நீர் உம்முடைய எதிரிகளுக்காக குழந்தைகள் பாலகர்கள் வாயினால் பெலன் உண்டாக்கினீர்.

From [the] mouth of children - and sucking children you have established strength on account of opposers your to put an end to an enemy and an avenger.

3 ௩ உமது விரல்களின் செயல்களாகிய உம்முடைய வானங்களையும், நீர் அமைத்த சந்திரனையும் நட்சத்திரங்களையும் நான் பார்க்கும்போது,

If I will see heavens your [the] works fingers your [the] moon and [the] stars which you have established.

4 ௪ மனிதனை நீர் நினைக்கிறதற்கும், மனுக்குலத்தை நீர் விசாரிக்கிறதற்கும் அவன் எம்மாத்திரம் என்கிறேன்.

What? [is] humankind that you will remember him and a son of humankind that you will pay attention to him.

5 ௫ நீர் அவனைத் தேவதூதரிலும் சற்றுச் சிறியவனாக்கினீர்; மகிமையினாலும், மரியாதையினாலும் அவனை முடிசூட்டினீர்.

And you have made lack him little from God and honor and majesty you crown him.

6 ௬ உம்முடைய கைகளின் செயல்களின்மேல் நீர் அவனுக்கு ஆளுகை தந்து.

You make rule him over [the] works of hands your everything you have put under feet his.

7 ௭ ஆடுமாடுகள் எல்லாவற்றையும், காட்டுமிருகங்களையும்,

Sheep and cattle all of them and also [the] animals of [the] field.

8 ௮ ஆகாயத்துப் பறவைகளையும், கடலின் மீன்களையும், கடல்களில் வாழ்கிறவைகளையும் அவனுடைய பாதங்களுக்குக் கீழ்ப்படுத்தினீர்.

[the] bird[s] of [the] heavens And [the] fish of the sea [that which] passes through [the] paths of [the] seas.

9 ௯ எங்கள் ஆண்டவராகிய யெகோவாவே, உம்முடைய பெயர் பூமியெங்கும் எவ்வளவு மேன்மையுள்ளதாக இருக்கிறது!

O Yahweh lord our how! majestic [is] name your in all the earth.
