சங்கீதம் 76

1 ௧ அல்தஷ்கேத் என்னும் வாத்தியத்தில் வாசிக்கும்படி பாடலின் இசைத்தலைவனுக்கு ஆசாப் அளித்த பாடல். யூதாவில் தேவன் அறியப்பட்டவர்; இஸ்ரவேலில் அவருடைய பெயர் பெரியது.

For the end, among the Hymns, a Psalm for Asaph; a Song for the Assyrian. God is known in Judea: his name is great in Israel.

2 ௨ சாலேமில் அவருடைய கூடாரமும், சீயோனில் அவருடைய தங்குமிடமும் இருக்கிறது.

And his place has been in peace, and his dwelling-place in Sion.

3 ௩ அங்கேயிருந்து வில்லின் அம்புகளையும், கேடகத்தையும், வாளையும், யுத்தத்தையும் முறித்தார். (சேலா)

There he broke the power of the bows, the shield, and the sword, and the battle. (Pause)

4 ௪ மகத்துவமுள்ளவரே, கொள்ளையுள்ள மலைளைவிட நீர் பிரகாசமுள்ளவர்.

You do wonderfully shine forth from the everlasting mountains.

5 ௫ தைரிய நெஞ்சுள்ளவர்கள் கொள்ளையிடப்பட்டு, உறங்கி அசந்தார்கள்; வல்லமையுள்ள எல்லா மனிதர்களுடைய கைகளும் அவர்களுக்கு உதவாமல்போனது.

All the simple ones in heart were troubled; all the men of wealth have slept their sleep, and have found nothing in their hands.

6 ௬ யாக்கோபின் தேவனே, உம்முடைய அதட்டலின் சத்தத்தினால் இரதங்களும் குதிரைகளும் உறங்கி விழுந்தது.

At your rebuke, O God of Jacob, the riders on horses slumbered.

7 ௭ நீர், நீரே, பயங்கரமானவர்; உமது கோபம் எழும்பும்போது உமக்கு முன்பாக நிற்பவன் யார்?

You are terrible; and who shall withstand you, because of your anger?

8 ௮ நியாயம் விசாரிக்கவும் பூமியில் சிறுமைப்பட்டவர்கள் யாவரையும் இரட்சிக்கவும், தேவனே நீர் எழுந்தருளினபோது,

You did cause judgment to be heard from heaven; the earth feared, and was still,

9 ௯ வானத்திலிருந்து நியாயத்தீர்ப்புக் கேட்கச்செய்தீர்; பூமி பயந்து அமர்ந்தது. (சேலா)

when God arose to judgment, to save all the meek in heart. (Pause)

10 ௧0 மனிதனுடைய கோபம் உமது மகிமையை விளங்கச்செய்யும்; மிஞ்சுங்கோபத்தை நீர் அடக்குவீர்.

For the inward thought of man shall give thanks to you: and the memorial of his inward thought shall keep a feast to you.

11 ௧௧ பொருத்தனைசெய்து அதை உங்கள் தேவனாகிய யெகோவாவுக்கு நிறைவேற்றுங்கள்; அவரைச் சூழ்ந்திருக்கிற அனைவரும் பயங்கரமானவருக்குக் காணிக்கைகளைக் கொண்டுவரவேண்டும்.

Vow, and pay [your vows] to the Lord our God; all that are round about him shall bring gifts, [even] to him that is terrible,

12 ௧௨ பிரபுக்களின் ஆவியை அடக்குவார்; பூமியின் ராஜாக்களுக்கு அவர் பயங்கரமானவர்.

and that takes away the spirits of princes; to him that is terrible among the kings of the earth.
