சங்கீதம் 75
1 ௧ அல்தஷ்கேத் என்னும் வாத்தியத்தில் வாசிக்கும்படி பாடலின் இசைத்தலைவனுக்கு ஆசாப் அளித்த பாடல். உம்மைத் துதிக்கிறோம், தேவனே, உம்மைத் துதிக்கிறோம்; உமது பெயர் அருகில் இருக்கிறதென்று உமது அதிசயமான செயல்கள் அறிவிக்கிறது.
To the chief Musician, Al-taschith, A Psalm [or] Song of Asaph. Unto thee, O God, do we give thanks, [unto thee] do we give thanks: for [that] thy name is near thy wondrous works declare.
When I shall receive the congregation I will judge uprightly.
3 ௩ பூமியானது அதின் எல்லாக் குடிமக்களோடும் கரைந்துபோகிறது; அதின் தூண்களை நான் நிலைநிறுத்துகிறேன். (சேலா)
The earth and all the inhabitants thereof are dissolved: I bear up the pillars of it. (Selah)
4 ௪ வீம்புக்காரர்களை நோக்கி, வீம்பு பேசாமலிருங்கள் என்றும்; துன்மார்க்கர்களை நோக்கி, கொம்பை உயர்த்தாமலிருங்கள் என்றும் சொன்னேன்.
I said unto the fools, Deal not foolishly: and to the wicked, Lift not up the horn:
Lift not up your horn on high: speak [not with] a stiff neck.
For promotion [cometh] neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south.
But God [is] the judge: he putteth down one, and setteth up another.
8 ௮ கலங்கிப் பொங்குகிற மதுபானத்தினால் நிறைந்த பாத்திரம் யெகோவாவுடைய கையிலிருக்கிறது, அதிலிருந்து ஊற்றுகிறார்; பூமியிலுள்ள துன்மார்க்கர்கள் அனைவரும் அதின் வண்டல்களை உறிஞ்சிக் குடிப்பார்கள்.
For in the hand of the LORD [there is] a cup, and the wine is red; it is full of mixture; and he poureth out of the same: but the dregs thereof, all the wicked of the earth shall wring [them] out, [and] drink [them].
But I will declare for ever; I will sing praises to the God of Jacob.
All the horns of the wicked also will I cut off; [but] the horns of the righteous shall be exalted.
