சங்கீதம் 37

1 ௧ தாவீதின் பாடல். பொல்லாதவர்களைக்குறித்து எரிச்சலடையாதே; நியாயக்கேடு செய்கிறவர்கள்மேல் பொறாமை கொள்ளாதே.

[A Psalm] of David. Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity.

2 ௨ அவர்கள் புல்லைப்போல் சீக்கிரமாய் அறுக்கப்பட்டு, பச்சைத்தாவரத்தைப்போல் வாடிப்போவார்கள்.

For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb.

3 ௩ யெகோவாவை நம்பி நன்மைசெய்; தேசத்தில் குடியிருந்து சத்தியத்தை மேய்ந்துகொள்.

Trust in the LORD, and do good; [so] shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed.

4 ௪ யெகோவாவிடத்தில் மனமகிழ்ச்சியாயிரு; அவர் உன் இருதயத்தின் வேண்டுதல்களை உனக்கு அருள்செய்வார்.

Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.

5 ௫ உன் வழியைக் யெகோவாவுக்கு ஒப்புவித்து, அவர்மேல் நம்பிக்கையாயிரு; அவரே காரியத்தை வாய்க்கச்செய்வார்.

Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring [it] to pass.

6 ௬ உன் நீதியை வெளிச்சத்தைப் போலவும், உன் நியாயத்தைப் பட்டப்பகலைப்போலவும் விளங்கச்செய்வார்.

And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday.

7 ௭ யெகோவாவை நோக்கி அமர்ந்து, அவருக்குக் காத்திரு; காரியசித்தியுள்ளவன் மேலும் தீவினைகளைச் செய்கிற மனிதன் மேலும் எரிச்சலாகாதே.

Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.

8 ௮ கோபத்தை தள்ளி, கடுங்கோபத்தை விட்டுவிடு; பொல்லாப்புச் செய்ய ஏதுவான எரிச்சல் உனக்கு வேண்டாம்.

Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise to do evil.

9 ௯ பொல்லாதவர்கள் அறுக்கப்பட்டுபோவார்கள்; யெகோவாவுக்குக் காத்திருக்கிறவர்களோ பூமியைச் சுதந்தரித்துக் கொள்வார்கள்.

For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the LORD, they shall inherit the earth.

10 ௧0 இன்னும் கொஞ்சநேரந்தான், அப்போது துன்மார்க்கன் இருக்கமாட்டான்; அவன் நிலையை உற்று விசாரித்தாயானால் அவன் இல்லை.

For yet a little while, and the wicked [shall] not [be: ] yea, thou shalt diligently consider his place, and it [shall] not [be].

11 ௧௧ சாந்தகுணமுள்ளவர்கள் பூமியைச் சுதந்தரித்து, மிகுந்த சமாதானத்தினால் மனமகிழ்ச்சியாயிருப்பார்கள்.

But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.

12 ௧௨ துன்மார்க்கன் நீதிமானுக்கு விரோதமாகத் தீங்கு நினைத்து, அவன்மேல் பல்லைக் கடிக்கிறான்.

The wicked plotteth against the just, and gnasheth upon him with his teeth.

13 ௧௩ ஆண்டவர் அவனைப் பார்த்து நகைக்கிறார்; அவனுடைய நாள் வருகிறதென்று காண்கிறார்.

The Lord shall laugh at him: for he seeth that his day is coming.

14 ௧௪ சிறுமையும் எளிமையுமானவனை வீழ்த்தவும், செம்மை மார்க்கத்தாரை விழசெய்யவும், துன்மார்க்கர்கள் வாளை உருவி, தங்கள் வில்லை நாணேற்றுகிறார்கள்.

The wicked have drawn out the sword, and have bent their bow, to cast down the poor and needy, [and] to slay such as be of upright conversation.

15 ௧௫ ஆனாலும் அவர்கள் வாள் அவர்களுடைய இருதயத்திற்குள் உருவிப்போகும்; அவர்கள் வில்லுகள் முறியும்.

Their sword shall enter into their own heart, and their bows shall be broken.

16 ௧௬ அநேக துன்மார்க்கர்களுக்கு இருக்கிற திரளான செல்வத்தைவிட, நீதிமானுக்குள்ள கொஞ்சமே நல்லது.

A little that a righteous man hath [is] better than the riches of many wicked.

17 ௧௭ துன்மார்க்கருடைய கரங்கள் முறியும்; நீதிமான்களையோ யெகோவா தாங்குகிறார்.

For the arms of the wicked shall be broken: but the LORD upholdeth the righteous.

18 ௧௮ உத்தமர்களின் நாட்களைக் யெகோவா அறிந்திருக்கிறார்; அவர்கள் சுதந்தரம் என்றென்றைக்கும் இருக்கும்.

The LORD knoweth the days of the upright: and their inheritance shall be for ever.

19 ௧௯ அவர்கள் ஆபத்துக்காலத்திலே வெட்கப்பட்டுப்போகாதிருந்து, பஞ்சகாலத்திலே திருப்தியடைவார்கள்.

They shall not be ashamed in the evil time: and in the days of famine they shall be satisfied.

20 ௨0 துன்மார்க்கர்களோ அழிந்துபோவார்கள், யெகோவாவுடைய எதிரிகள் ஆட்டுக்குட்டிகளின் கொழுப்பைப்போல புகைந்து போவார்கள், அவர்கள் புகையாய்ப் புகைந்து போவார்கள்.

But the wicked shall perish, and the enemies of the LORD [shall be] as the fat of lambs: they shall consume; into smoke shall they consume away.

21 ௨௧ துன்மார்க்கன் கடன் வாங்கிச் செலுத்தாமற் போகிறான்; நீதிமானோ இரங்கிக்கொடுக்கிறான்.

The wicked borroweth, and payeth not again: but the righteous sheweth mercy, and giveth.

22 ௨௨ அவரால் ஆசீர்வதிக்கப்பட்டவர்கள் பூமியைச் சுதந்தரித்துக்கொள்ளுவார்கள்; அவரால் சபிக்கப்பட்டவர்களோ அறுக்கப்பட்டுபோவார்கள்.

For [such as be] blessed of him shall inherit the earth; and [they that be] cursed of him shall be cut off.

23 ௨௩ நல்ல மனிதனுடைய நடைகள் யெகோவாவால் உறுதிப்படும், அவனுடைய வழியின்மேல் அவர் பிரியமாயிருக்கிறார்.

The steps of a [good] man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way.

24 ௨௪ அவன் விழுந்தாலும் தள்ளப்பட்டு போவதில்லை; யெகோவா தமது கையினால் அவனைத் தாங்குகிறார்.

Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD upholdeth [him with] his hand.

25 ௨௫ நான் இளைஞனாயிருந்தேன், முதிர்வயதுள்ளவனுமானேன்; ஆனாலும் நீதிமான் கைவிடப்பட்டதையும், அவன் சந்ததி அப்பத்திற்கு பிச்சை எடுக்கிறதையும் நான் காணவில்லை.

I have been young, and [now] am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.

26 ௨௬ அவன் எப்பொழுதும் இரங்கிக் கடன் கொடுக்கிறான், அவன் சந்ததி ஆசீர்வதிக்கப்படும்.

[He is] ever merciful, and lendeth; and his seed [is] blessed.

27 ௨௭ தீமையை விட்டு விலகி, நன்மை செய்; என்றென்றைக்கும் நிலைத்திருப்பாய்.

Depart from evil, and do good; and dwell for evermore.

28 ௨௮ யெகோவா நியாயத்தை விரும்புகிறவர்; அவர் தமது பரிசுத்தவான்களைக் கைவிடுவதில்லை; அவர்கள் என்றைக்கும் காக்கப்படுவார்கள்; துன்மார்க்கர்களுடைய சந்ததியோ அறுக்கப்பட்டுபோகும்.

For the LORD loveth judgment, and forsaketh not his saints; they are preserved for ever: but the seed of the wicked shall be cut off.

29 ௨௯ நீதிமான்கள் பூமியைச் சுதந்தரித்துக்கொண்டு, என்றைக்கும் அதிலே குடியிருப்பார்கள்.

The righteous shall inherit the land, and dwell therein for ever.

30 ௩0 நீதிமானுடைய வாய் ஞானத்தை சொல்லி, அவனுடைய நாவு நியாயத்தைப் பேசும்.

The mouth of the righteous speaketh wisdom, and his tongue talketh of judgment.

31 ௩௧ அவனுடைய தேவன் அருளிய வேதம் அவன் இருதயத்தில் இருக்கிறது; அவன் நடைகளில் ஒன்றும் பிசகுவதில்லை.

The law of his God [is] in his heart; none of his steps shall slide.

32 ௩௨ துன்மார்க்கன் நீதிமான்மேல் கண்வைத்து, அவனைக் கொல்ல வகைதேடுகிறான்.

The wicked watcheth the righteous, and seeketh to slay him.

33 ௩௩ யெகோவாவோ அவனை இவன் கையில் விடுவதில்லை; அவன் நியாயம் விசாரிக்கப்படும்போது, அவனை தண்டனைக்குள்ளாகத் தீர்ப்பதுமில்லை.

The LORD will not leave him in his hand, nor condemn him when he is judged.

34 ௩௪ நீ யெகோவாவுக்குக் காத்திருந்து, அவருடைய வழியைக் கைக்கொள்; அப்பொழுது நீ பூமியைச் சுதந்தரித்துக்கொள்வதற்கு அவர் உன்னை உயர்த்துவார்; துன்மார்க்கர்கள் அறுக்கப்பட்டுபோவதை நீ காண்பாய்.

Wait on the LORD, and keep his way, and he shall exalt thee to inherit the land: when the wicked are cut off, thou shalt see [it].

35 ௩௫ கொடிய பலவந்தனான ஒரு துன்மார்க்கனைக் கண்டேன் அவன் தனக்கேற்ற நிலத்தில் முளைத்திருக்கிற பச்சைமரத்தைப்போல் தழைத்தவனாயிருந்தான்.

I have seen the wicked in great power, and spreading himself like a green bay tree.

36 ௩௬ ஆனாலும் அவன் ஒழிந்துபோனான்; பாருங்கள், அவன் இல்லை; நான் மறுபடியும் போனேன், அவன் காணப்படவில்லை.

Yet he passed away, and, lo, he [was] not: yea, I sought him, but he could not be found.

37 ௩௭ நீ உத்தமனை நோக்கி, செம்மையானவனைப் பார்த்திரு; அந்த மனிதனுடைய முடிவு சமாதானம்.

Mark the perfect [man], and behold the upright: for the end of [that] man [is] peace.

38 ௩௮ அக்கிரமக்காரர் ஒன்றாக அழிக்கப்படுவார்கள்; அறுக்கப்பட்டுபோவதே துன்மார்க்கர்களின் முடிவு.

But the transgressors shall be destroyed together: the end of the wicked shall be cut off.

39 ௩௯ நீதிமான்களுடைய இரட்சிப்பு யெகோவாவால் வரும்; இக்கட்டுக்காலத்தில் அவரே அவர்கள் அடைக்கலம்.

But the salvation of the righteous [is] of the LORD: [he is] their strength in the time of trouble.

40 ௪0 யெகோவா அவர்களுக்கு உதவிசெய்து, அவர்களை விடுவிப்பார்; அவர்கள் அவரை நம்பியிருக்கிறபடியால், அவர்களைத் துன்மார்க்கர்களுடைய கைக்குத் தப்புவித்து காப்பாற்றுவார்.

And the LORD shall help them, and deliver them: he shall deliver them from the wicked, and save them, because they trust in him.
