சங்கீதம் 2

1 ௧ தேசங்கள் ஏன் கொந்தளிக்க வேண்டும்? மக்கள் வீணான காரியத்தை ஏன் சிந்திக்கவேண்டும்?

Therefore did the heathen rage, and the nations imagine vain things?

2 ௨ யெகோவாவுக்கு விரோதமாகவும், அவர் அபிஷேகம்செய்தவருக்கு விரோதமாகவும், பூமியின் இராஜாக்கள் எழும்பி நின்று, அதிகாரிகள் ஒன்றாக ஆலோசனைசெய்து:

The kings of the earth stood up, and the rulers gathered themselves together, against the Lord, and against his Christ;

3 ௩ அவர்களுடைய கட்டுகளை அறுத்து, அவர்களுடைய கயிறுகளை நம்மைவிட்டு எறிந்துபோடுவோம்; என்கிறார்கள்.

[saying], Let us break through their bonds, and cast away their yoke from us.

4 ௪ பரலோகத்தில் அமர்ந்திருக்கிறவர் சிரிப்பார்; ஆண்டவர் அவர்களை இகழுவார்.

He that dwells in the heavens shall laugh them to scorn, and the Lord shall mock them.

5 ௫ அப்பொழுது அவர் தமது கோபத்திலே அவர்களுடன் பேசுவார். தமது கடுங்கோபத்திலே அவர்களைக் கலங்கச்செய்வார்.

Then shall he speak to them in his anger, and trouble them in his fury.

6 ௬ நான் என்னுடைய பரிசுத்தமலையாகிய சீயோனில் என்னுடைய இராஜாவை அபிஷேகம்செய்து வைத்தேன் என்றார்.

But I have been made king by him on Sion his holy mountain,

7 ௭ தீர்மானத்தின் விவரம் சொல்லுவேன்; யெகோவா என்னை நோக்கி, நீர் என்னுடைய மகன், இன்று நான் உம்மை பிறக்கச்செய்தேன்;

declaring the ordinance of the Lord: the Lord said to me, You are my Son, today have I begotten you.

8 ௮ என்னைக் கேளும், அப்பொழுது தேசங்களை உமக்குச் சொத்தாகவும், பூமியின் எல்லைகளை உமக்குச் சொந்தமாகவும் கொடுப்பேன்;

Ask of me, and I will give you the heathen [for] your inheritance, and the ends of the earth [for] your possession.

9 ௯ இரும்புக் கோலால் அவர்களை நொறுக்கி, குயவனின் மண்பாண்டத்தைப்போல் அவர்களை உடைத்துப்போடுவீர் என்று சொன்னார்.

You shall rule them with a rod of iron; you shall dash them in pieces as a potter's vessel.

10 ௧0 இப்போதும் இராஜாக்களே, உணர்வடையுங்கள், பூமியின் நியாயாதிபதிகளே, எச்சரிக்கையாக இருங்கள்.

Now therefore understand, you kings: be instructed, all you that judge the earth.

11 ௧௧ பயத்துடனே யெகோவாவுக்கு ஆராதனை செய்யுங்கள், நடுக்கத்துடனே மகிழ்ந்திருங்கள்.

Serve the Lord with fear, and rejoice in him with trembling.

12 ௧௨ தேவமகன் கோபங்கொள்ளாமலும், நீங்கள் வழியிலே அழியாமலும் இருப்பதற்கு, தேவனை முத்தம்செய்யுங்கள்; கொஞ்சக்காலத்திலே தேவனுடைய கோபம் பற்றியெரியும்; அவரிடம் அடைக்கலமாக இருக்கிற அனைவரும் பாக்கியவான்கள்.

Accept correction, lest at any time the Lord be angry, and you should perish from the righteous way: whenever his wrath shall be suddenly kindled, blessed are all they that trust in him.
