எண்ணாகமம் 1

1 ௧ இஸ்ரவேல் மக்கள் எகிப்துதேசத்திலிருந்து புறப்பட்ட இரண்டாம் வருடம் இரண்டாம் மாதம் முதல் தேதியில், யெகோவா சீனாய் வனாந்திரத்தில் இருக்கிற ஆசரிப்புக் கூடாரத்திலே மோசேயை நோக்கி:

The LORD spoke to Moses in the wilderness of Sinai, in the Tent of Meeting, on the first day of the second month, in the second year after they had come out of the land of Egypt, saying,

2 ௨ “நீங்கள் இஸ்ரவேலர்களின் முழுச்சபையாக இருக்கிற அவர்கள் தகப்பன்மார்களுடைய வீட்டு வம்சங்களிலுள்ள ஆண்களாகிய எல்லா தலைகளையும் ஒவ்வொருவராக எண்ணிக் கணக்கெடுங்கள்.

“Take a census of all the congregation of the children of Israel, by their families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of the names, every male, one by one,

3 ௩ இஸ்ரவேலிலே இருபது வயதுள்ளவர்கள்முதல் யுத்தத்திற்குப் புறப்படக்கூடியவர்கள் எல்லோரையும் அவர்களுடைய சேனைகளின்படி நீயும் ஆரோனும் எண்ணிப்பாருங்கள்.

from twenty years old and upward, all who are able to go out to war in Israel. You and Aaron shall count them by their divisions.

4 ௪ ஒவ்வொரு வம்சத்திற்கும் ஒவ்வொரு மனிதன் உங்களோடு இருக்கவேண்டும்; அவன் தன்னுடைய பிதாக்களின் வம்சத்திற்குத் தலைவனாக இருக்கவேண்டும்.

With you there shall be a man of every tribe, each one head of his fathers’ house.

5 ௫ உங்களோடு நிற்கவேண்டிய மனிதர்களுடைய பெயர்கள்: ரூபன் கோத்திரத்தில் சேதேயூருடைய மகன் எலிசூர்.

These are the names of the men who shall stand with you: Of Reuben: Elizur the son of Shedeur.

6 ௬ சிமியோன் கோத்திரத்தில் சூரிஷதாயின் மகன் செலூமியேல்.

Of Simeon: Shelumiel the son of Zurishaddai.

7 ௭ யூதா கோத்திரத்தில் அம்மினதாபின் மகன் நகசோன்.

Of Judah: Nahshon the son of Amminadab.

8 ௮ இசக்கார் கோத்திரத்தில் சூவாரின் மகன் நெதனெயேல்.

Of Issachar: Nethanel the son of Zuar.

9 ௯ செபுலோன் கோத்திரத்தில் ஏலோனின் மகன் எலியாப்.

Of Zebulun: Eliab the son of Helon.

10 ௧0 யோசேப்பின் மகன்களாகிய எப்பிராயீம் கோத்திரத்தில் அம்மியூதின் மகன் எலிஷாமா; மனாசே கோத்திரத்தில் பெதாசூரின் மகன் கமாலியேல்.

Of the children of Joseph: of Ephraim: Elishama the son of Ammihud; of Manasseh: Gamaliel the son of Pedahzur.

11 ௧௧ பென்யமீன் கோத்திரத்தில் கீதெயோனின் மகன் அபீதான்.

Of Benjamin: Abidan the son of Gideoni.

12 ௧௨ தாண் கோத்திரத்தில் அம்மிஷதாயின் மகன் அகியேசேர்.

Of Dan: Ahiezer the son of Ammishaddai.

13 ௧௩ ஆசேர் கோத்திரத்தில் ஓகிரானின் மகன் பாகியேல்.

Of Asher: Pagiel the son of Ochran.

14 ௧௪ காத் கோத்திரத்தில் தேகுவேலின் மகன் எலியாசாப்.

Of Gad: Eliasaph the son of Deuel.

15 ௧௫ நப்தலி கோத்திரத்தில் ஏனானின் மகன் அகீரா.

Of Naphtali: Ahira the son of Enan.”

16 ௧௬ இவர்களே சபையில் ஏற்படுத்தப்பட்டவர்களும், தங்கள் தங்கள் முன்னோர்களுடைய கோத்திரங்களில் பிரபுக்களும், இஸ்ரவேலில் ஆயிரம்பேர்களுக்குத் தலைவர்களுமாக இருப்பவர்கள் என்றார்.

These are those who were called of the congregation, the princes of the tribes of their fathers; they were the heads of the thousands of Israel.

17 ௧௭ அப்படியே மோசேயும் ஆரோனும் பேர்பேராகக் குறிக்கப்பட்ட இந்த மனிதர்களைக் கூட்டிக்கொண்டு,

Moses and Aaron took these men who are mentioned by name.

18 ௧௮ இரண்டாம் மாதம் முதல் தேதியில் சபையார் எல்லோரையும் கூடிவரச்செய்தார்கள். அப்பொழுது அவர்கள் தங்கள்தங்கள் குடும்பத்தின்படியும், முன்னோர்களுடைய வம்சத்தின்படியும், பெயர் கணக்கின்படியும், இருபது வயதுள்ளவர்கள்முதல் தலைதலையாகத் தங்களுடைய வம்சாவளியைத் தெரிவித்தார்கள்.

They assembled all the congregation together on the first day of the second month; and they declared their ancestry by their families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, one by one.

19 ௧௯ இப்படிக் யெகோவா கட்டளையிட்டபடியே, மோசே அவர்களை சீனாய் வனாந்திரத்தில் எண்ணிப்பார்த்தான்.

As the LORD commanded Moses, so he counted them in the wilderness of Sinai.

20 ௨0 இஸ்ரவேலின் மூத்தமகனாகிய ரூபன் சந்ததியாருடைய முன்னோர்களின் வீட்டு வம்சத்தாரில் இருபது வயதுள்ளவர்கள்முதல் யுத்தத்திற்குப் புறப்படக்கூடிய ஆண்கள் எல்லோரும் தலைதலையாக எண்ணப்பட்டபோது,

The children of Reuben, Israel’s firstborn, their generations, by their families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of the names, one by one, every male from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go out to war:

21 ௨௧ ரூபன் கோத்திரத்தில் எண்ணப்பட்டவர்கள், 46,500 பேர்.

those who were counted of them, of the tribe of Reuben, were forty-six thousand five hundred.

22 ௨௨ சிமியோன் சந்ததியாருடைய முன்னோர்களின் வீட்டு வம்சத்தாரில் இருபது வயதுள்ளவர்கள்முதல் யுத்தத்திற்குப் புறப்படக்கூடிய ஆண்கள் எல்லோரும் தலைதலையாக எண்ணப்பட்டபோது,

Of the children of Simeon, their generations, by their families, by their fathers’ houses, those who were counted of it, according to the number of the names, one by one, every male from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go out to war:

23 ௨௩ சிமியோன் கோத்திரத்தில் எண்ணப்பட்டவர்கள், 59,300 பேர்.

those who were counted of them, of the tribe of Simeon, were fifty-nine thousand three hundred.

24 ௨௪ காத் சந்ததியாருடைய முன்னோர்களின் வீட்டு வம்சத்தாரில் இருபது வயதுள்ளவர்கள் முதல் யுத்தத்திற்குப் புறப்படக்கூடிய ஆண்கள் எல்லோரும் எண்ணப்பட்டபோது,

Of the children of Gad, their generations, by their families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go out to war:

25 ௨௫ காத் கோத்திரத்தில் எண்ணப்பட்டவர்கள், 45,650 பேர்.

those who were counted of them, of the tribe of Gad, were forty-five thousand six hundred fifty.

26 ௨௬ யூதா சந்ததியாருடைய முன்னோர்களின் வீட்டு வம்சத்தாரில் இருபது வயதுள்ளவர்கள் முதல் யுத்தத்திற்குப் புறப்படக்கூடிய ஆண்கள் எல்லோரும் எண்ணப்பட்டபோது,

Of the children of Judah, their generations, by their families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go out to war:

27 ௨௭ யூதா கோத்திரத்தில் எண்ணப்பட்டவர்கள், 74,600 பேர்.

those who were counted of them, of the tribe of Judah, were seventy-four thousand six hundred.

28 ௨௮ இசக்கார் சந்ததியாருடைய முன்னோர்களின் வீட்டு வம்சத்தாரில் இருபது வயதுள்ளவர்கள்முதல் யுத்தத்திற்குப் புறப்படக்கூடிய ஆண்கள் எல்லோரும் எண்ணப்பட்டபோது,

Of the children of Issachar, their generations, by their families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go out to war:

29 ௨௯ இசக்கார் கோத்திரத்தில் எண்ணப்பட்டவர்கள் 54,400 பேர்.

those who were counted of them, of the tribe of Issachar, were fifty-four thousand four hundred.

30 ௩0 செபுலோன் சந்ததியாருடைய புறப்படக்கூடிய முன்னோர்களின் வீட்டு வம்சத்தாரில் இருபது வயதுள்ளவர்கள்முதல் யுத்தத்திற்குப் புறப்படக்கூடிய ஆண்கள் எல்லோரும் எண்ணப்பட்டபோது,

Of the children of Zebulun, their generations, by their families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go out to war:

31 ௩௧ செபுலோன் கோத்திரத்தில் எண்ணப்பட்டவர்கள், 57,400 பேர்.

those who were counted of them, of the tribe of Zebulun, were fifty-seven thousand four hundred.

32 ௩௨ யோசேப்பின் மகன்களில் எப்பிராயீம் சந்ததியாருடைய முன்னோர்களின் வீட்டு வம்சத்தாரில் இருபது வயதுள்ளவர்கள்முதல் யுத்தத்திற்குப் புறப்படக்கூடிய ஆண்கள் எல்லோரும் எண்ணப்பட்டபோது,

Of the children of Joseph: of the children of Ephraim, their generations, by their families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go out to war:

33 ௩௩ எப்பிராயீம் கோத்திரத்தில் எண்ணப்பட்டவர்கள், 40,500 பேர்.

those who were counted of them, of the tribe of Ephraim, were forty thousand five hundred.

34 ௩௪ மனாசே சந்ததியாருடைய முன்னோர்களின் வீட்டு வம்சத்தாரில் இருபது வயதுள்ளவர்கள்முதல் யுத்தத்திற்குப் புறப்படக்கூடிய ஆண்கள் எல்லோரும் எண்ணப்பட்டபோது,

Of the children of Manasseh, their generations, by their families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go out to war:

35 ௩௫ மனாசே கோத்திரத்தில் எண்ணப்பட்டவர்கள், 32,200 பேர்.

those who were counted of them, of the tribe of Manasseh, were thirty-two thousand two hundred.

36 ௩௬ பென்யமீன் சந்ததியாருடைய முன்னோர்களின் வீட்டு வம்சத்தாரில் இருபது வயதுள்ளவர்கள்முதல் யுத்தத்திற்குப் புறப்படக்கூடிய ஆண்கள் எல்லோரும் எண்ணப்பட்டபோது,

Of the children of Benjamin, their generations, by their families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go out to war:

37 ௩௭ பென்யமீன் கோத்திரத்தில் எண்ணப்பட்டவர்கள், 35,400 பேர்.

those who were counted of them, of the tribe of Benjamin, were thirty-five thousand four hundred.

38 ௩௮ தாண் சந்ததியாருடைய முன்னோர்களின் வீட்டு வம்சத்தாரில் இருபது வயதுள்ளவர்கள்முதல் யுத்தத்திற்குப் புறப்படக்கூடிய ஆண்கள் எல்லோரும் எண்ணப்பட்டபோது,

Of the children of Dan, their generations, by their families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go out to war:

39 ௩௯ தாண் கோத்திரத்தில் எண்ணப்பட்டவர்கள், 62,700 பேர்.

those who were counted of them, of the tribe of Dan, were sixty-two thousand seven hundred.

40 ௪0 ஆசேர் சந்ததியாருடைய முன்னோர்களின் வீட்டு வம்சத்தாரில் இருபது வயதுள்ளவர்கள் முதல் யுத்தத்திற்குப் புறப்படக்கூடிய ஆண்கள் எல்லோரும் எண்ணப்பட்டபோது,

Of the children of Asher, their generations, by their families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go out to war:

41 ௪௧ ஆசேர் கோத்திரத்தில் எண்ணப்பட்டவர்கள், 41,500 பேர்.

those who were counted of them, of the tribe of Asher, were forty-one thousand five hundred.

42 ௪௨ நப்தலி சந்ததியாருடைய முன்னோர்களின் வீட்டு வம்சத்தாரில் இருபது வயதுள்ளவர்கள்முதல் யுத்தத்திற்குப் புறப்படக்கூடிய ஆண்கள் எல்லோரும் எண்ணப்பட்டபோது,

Of the children of Naphtali, their generations, by their families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go out to war:

43 ௪௩ நப்தலி கோத்திரத்தில் எண்ணப்பட்டவர்கள், 53,400 பேர்.

those who were counted of them, of the tribe of Naphtali, were fifty-three thousand four hundred.

44 ௪௪ எண்ணப்பட்டவர்கள் இவர்களே; மோசேயும் ஆரோனும் இஸ்ரவேலுடைய கோத்திரங்களின் வம்சத்தில் ஒவ்வொரு வம்சத்திற்கு ஒவ்வொரு பிரபுவாகிய பன்னிரண்டுபேரும் எண்ணினார்கள்.

These are those who were counted, whom Moses and Aaron counted, and the twelve men who were princes of Israel, each one for his fathers’ house.

45 ௪௫ இஸ்ரவேல் பிதாக்களின் வம்சத்தில் இருபது வயதுள்ளவர்கள்முதல், இஸ்ரவேலில் யுத்தத்திற்குப் புறப்படக்கூடியவர்களாகிய எண்ணப்பட்ட நபர்கள் எல்லோரும்,

So all those who were counted of the children of Israel by their fathers’ houses, from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go out to war in Israel—

46 ௪௬ 6,03,550 பேராயிருந்தார்கள்.

all those who were counted were six hundred three thousand five hundred fifty.

47 ௪௭ லேவியர்கள் தங்கள் பிதாக்களுடைய கோத்திரத்தின்படியே, மற்றவர்களுடன் எண்ணப்படவில்லை.

But the Levites after the tribe of their fathers were not counted among them.

48 ௪௮ யெகோவா மோசேயை நோக்கி:

For the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,

49 ௪௯ “நீ லேவி கோத்திரத்தாரை மட்டும் எண்ணாமலும், இஸ்ரவேல் மக்களுக்குள்ளே அவர்களுடைய தொகையை சேர்க்காமலும்,

“Only the tribe of Levi you shall not count, neither shall you take a census of them among the children of Israel;

50 ௫0 லேவியர்களைச் சாட்சியின் வாசஸ்தலத்திற்கும், அதினுடைய எல்லா பணிப்பொருட்களுக்கும், அதிலுள்ள அனைத்து பொருள்களுக்கும் பொறுப்பாளர்களாக ஏற்படுத்து; அவர்கள் வாசஸ்தலத்தையும் அதின் எல்லா பணிப்பொருட்களையும் சுமக்க வேண்டும்; அதினிடத்தில் ஊழியம் செய்து, வாசஸ்தலத்தைச் சுற்றிலும் முகாமிடவேண்டும்.

but appoint the Levites over the Tabernacle of the Testimony, and over all its furnishings, and over all that belongs to it. They shall carry the tabernacle and all its furnishings; and they shall take care of it, and shall encamp around it.

51 ௫௧ சாட்சியின் வாசஸ்தலம் புறப்படும்போது, லேவியர்கள் அதை இறக்கிவைத்து, அது நிறுவப்படும்போது, லேவியர்கள் அதை எடுத்து நிறுத்தவேண்டும்; அந்நியன் அதற்கு அருகில் வந்தால் கொலை செய்யப்படவேண்டும்.

When the tabernacle is to move, the Levites shall take it down; and when the tabernacle is to be set up, the Levites shall set it up. The stranger who comes near shall be put to death.

52 ௫௨ இஸ்ரவேல் மக்கள் தங்கள் தங்கள் முகாமோடும், தங்கள் தங்கள் சேனையின் கொடியோடும் கூடாரம் போடவேண்டும்.

The children of Israel shall pitch their tents, every man by his own camp, and every man by his own standard, according to their divisions.

53 ௫௩ இஸ்ரவேல் மக்களாகிய சபையின்மேல் கடுங்கோபம் வராதபடி லேவியர்கள் சாட்சியின் வாசஸ்தலத்தைச் சுற்றிலும் முகாமிட்டு, லேவியர்கள் சாட்சியின் வாசஸ்தலத்தைக் காவல்காப்பார்களாக என்றார்.

But the Levites shall encamp around the Tabernacle of the Testimony, that there may be no wrath on the congregation of the children of Israel. The Levites shall be responsible for the Tabernacle of the Testimony.”

54 ௫௪ யெகோவா மோசேக்குக் கட்டளையிட்டபடி எல்லாவற்றையும் இஸ்ரவேல் மக்கள் செய்தார்கள்.

Thus the children of Israel did. According to all that the LORD commanded Moses, so they did.
