லூக்கா 20
1 ௧ அந்த நாட்களிலே, அவர் தேவாலயத்திலே மக்களுக்கு உபதேசித்து, நற்செய்தியைப் பிரசங்கித்தபோது, பிரதான ஆசாரியர்களும் வேதபண்டிதர்களும் மூப்பர்களும் அவரிடத்தில் கூடிவந்து:
And it happened that, on one of the days when he was teaching the people in the temple and preaching the Gospel, the leaders of the priests, and the scribes, gathered together with the elders,
2 ௨ நீர் எந்த அதிகாரத்தினால் இவைகளைச் செய்கிறீர்? இந்த அதிகாரத்தை உமக்குக் கொடுத்தவர் யார்? அதை எங்களுக்குச் சொல்லும் என்றார்கள்.
and they spoke to him, saying: “Tell us, by what authority do you do these things? Or, who is it that has given you this authority?”
3 ௩ அவர்களுக்கு அவர் மறுமொழியாக: நானும் உங்களிடம் ஒரு காரியத்தைக் கேட்கிறேன், அதை எனக்குச் சொல்லுங்கள்.
And in response, Jesus said to them: “I will also question you about one word. Respond to me:
The baptism of John, was it from heaven, or of men?”
5 ௫ அவர்கள் தங்களுக்குள்ளே யோசனைசெய்து: தேவனால் உண்டானது என்று சொல்வோமானால், பின்னை ஏன் அவனை நம்பவில்லை என்று கேட்பார்.
So they discussed it among themselves, saying: “If we say, ‘From heaven,’ he will say, ‘Then why did you not believe him?’
6 ௬ மனிதர்களால் உண்டானது என்று சொல்வோமானால், மக்களெல்லோரும் யோவானைத் தீர்க்கதரிசியென்று எண்ணுகிறபடியினால் நம்மேல் கல்லெறிவார்கள் என்று சொல்லி:
But if we say, ‘Of men,’ the whole people will stone us. For they are certain that John was a prophet.”
And so they responded that they did not know where it was from.
8 ௮ அப்பொழுது இயேசு: நானும் இன்ன அதிகாரத்தினால் இவைகளைச் செய்கிறேனென்று உங்களுக்குச் சொல்லமாட்டேன் என்றார்.
And Jesus said to them, “Neither will I tell you by what authority I do these things.”
9 ௯ பின்பு அவர் மக்களுக்கு சொல்லத்தொடங்கின உவமையாவது: ஒரு மனிதன் ஒரு திராட்சைத்தோட்டத்தை உண்டாக்கி, அதைத் தோட்டக்காரர்களுக்குக் குத்தகையாக விட்டு, நீண்ட நாட்களாக வெளிதேசத்திற்குச் சென்றிருந்தான்.
Then he began to tell the people this parable: “A man planted a vineyard, and he loaned it to settlers, and he was on a sojourn for a long time.
10 ௧0 அந்தத் தோட்டக்காரர்கள் திராட்சைத்தோட்டத்தின் கனிகளில் தன் பங்கைக் கொடுத்தனுப்பும்படி, பருவகாலத்திலே அவர்களிடத்தில் ஒரு வேலைக்காரனை அனுப்பினான். அந்தத் தோட்டக்காரர்கள் அவனை அடித்து, ஒன்றும் கொடுக்காமல் அனுப்பிவிட்டார்கள்.
And in due time, he sent a servant to the farmers, so that they would give to him from the fruit of the vineyard. And they beat him and drove him away, empty-handed.
11 ௧௧ பின்பு அவன் வேறொரு வேலைக்காரனை அனுப்பினான்; அவனையும் அவர்கள் அடித்து, அவமானப்படுத்தி, ஒன்றும் கொடுக்காமல் அனுப்பிவிட்டார்கள்.
And he continued to send another servant. But beating him and treating him with contempt, they likewise sent him away, empty-handed.
12 ௧௨ அவன் மூன்றாம்முறையும் ஒரு வேலைக்காரனை அனுப்பினான்; அவனையும் அவர்கள் காயப்படுத்தி துரத்திவிட்டார்கள்.
And he continued to send a third. And wounding him also, they drove him away.
13 ௧௩ அப்பொழுது திராட்சைத்தோட்டத்தின் எஜமான்: நான் என்ன செய்யலாம், எனக்குப் பிரியமான மகனை அனுப்பினால், அவனையாவது பார்த்து பயப்படுவார்கள் என்று நினைத்து, அவனை அனுப்பினான்.
Then the lord of the vineyard said: ‘What shall I do? I will send my beloved son. Perhaps when they have seen him, they will respect him.’
14 ௧௪ தோட்டக்காரர்கள் அவனைக் கண்டபோது: இவனே வாரிசு, சொத்தை நம்முடையதாக்கும்படிக்கு இவனைக் கொன்று போடுவோம் வாருங்கள் என்று ஒருவரோடொருவர் சொல்லிக்கொண்டு,
And when the settlers had seen him, they discussed it among themselves, saying: ‘This one is the heir. Let us kill him, so that the inheritance will be ours.’
15 ௧௫ அவனைத் திராட்சைத்தோட்டத்திற்குப் வெளியே தள்ளி, கொன்றுபோட்டார்கள். இப்படியிருக்க, திராட்சைத்தோட்டத்தின் எஜமான் அவர்களை என்ன செய்வான்?
And forcing him outside of the vineyard, they killed him. What, then, will the lord of the vineyard do to them?”
16 ௧௬ அவன் வந்து அந்தத் தோட்டக்காரர்களை அழித்து, திராட்சைத்தோட்டத்தை வேறு தோட்டக்காரர்களிடத்தில் கொடுப்பான் அல்லவா என்றார். அவர்கள் அதைக்கேட்டு, அப்படியாகாதிருப்பதாக என்றார்கள்.
“He will come and destroy those settlers, and he will give the vineyard to others.” And upon hearing this, they said to him, “Let it not be.”
17 ௧௭ அப்பொழுது அவர் அவர்களைப் பார்த்து: வீடுகட்டுகிறவர்கள் ஆகாதென்று தள்ளின கல்லே, மூலைக்குத் தலைக்கல்லானது என்று எழுதியிருக்கிற வேதவாக்கியத்தின் பொருள் என்ன?
Then, gazing at them, he said: “Then what does this mean, which is written: ‘The stone which the builders have rejected, the same has become the head of the corner?’
18 ௧௮ அந்தக் கல்லின்மேல் விழுகிறவன் எவனோ அவன் நொறுங்கிப்போவான், அது எவன்மேல் விழுமோ அவனை அழித்துப்போடும்” என்றார்.
Everyone who falls on that stone will be shattered. And anyone upon whom it falls will be crushed.”
19 ௧௯ பிரதான ஆசாரியர்களும் வேதபண்டிதர்களும் தங்களைக்குறித்து இந்த உதாரணத்தைச் சொன்னாரென்று அறிந்து, அந்த நேரத்திலே அவரைப் பிடிக்க வகைதேடியும் மக்களுக்குப் பயந்திருந்தார்கள்.
And the leaders of the priests, and the scribes, were seeking to lay hands on him in that same hour, but they feared the people. For they realized that he had spoken this parable about them.
20 ௨0 அவர்கள் நேரம் பார்த்து, தேசாதிபதியின் ஆளுகைக்கும் அதிகாரத்திற்கும் அவரை ஒப்புக்கொடுக்கும்படி அவருடைய பேச்சிலே குற்றம் கண்டுபிடிக்கலாமென்று, தங்களை உண்மையுள்ளவர்களாக நடிக்கிற ஒற்றர்களை அவரிடத்தில் அனுப்பினார்கள்.
And being attentive, they sent traitors, who would pretend that they were just, so that they might catch him in his words and then hand him over to the power and authority of the procurator.
21 ௨௧ அவர்கள் வந்து: போதகரே, நீர் நிதானமாகப் பேசி உபதேசிக்கிறீரென்றும், பட்சபாதமில்லாமல் தேவனுடைய வழிமுறைகளை உண்மையாகப் போதிக்கிறீரென்றும் அறிந்திருக்கிறோம்.
And they questioned him, saying: “Teacher, we know that you speak and teach correctly, and that you do not consider anyone’s status, but you teach the way of God in truth.
Is it lawful for us to pay the tribute to Caesar, or not?”
But realizing their deceitfulness, he said to them: “Why do you test me?
24 ௨௪ ஒரு நாணயத்தை எனக்குக் காண்பியுங்கள். இதிலிருக்கிற உருவமும் எழுத்தும் யாருடையது என்று கேட்டார். அதற்கு அவர்கள்: இராயனுடையது என்றார்கள்.
Show me a denarius. Whose image and inscription does it have?” In response, they said to him, “Caesar’s.”
25 ௨௫ அதற்கு அவர்: அப்படியானால், இராயனுக்குரியதை இராயனுக்கும், தேவனுக்குரியதை தேவனுக்கும் செலுத்துங்கள் என்றார்.
And so, he said to them: “Then repay the things that are Caesar’s, to Caesar, and the things that are God’s, to God.”
26 ௨௬ அவர்கள் அவரை மக்களுக்கு முன்பாகப் பேச்சிலே குற்றம்பிடிக்கக்கூடாமல், அவர் சொன்ன பதிலைக்குறித்து ஆச்சரியப்பட்டு, மவுனமாக இருந்தார்கள்.
And they were not able to contradict his word before the people. And being amazed at his answer, they were silent.
Now some of the Sadducees, who deny that there is a resurrection, approached him. And they questioned him,
28 ௨௮ போதகரே, ஒருவன் மனைவியையுடையவனாக இருந்து சந்ததியில்லாமல் மரித்துப்போனால், அவனுடைய சகோதரன் அவன் மனைவியைத் திருமணம்செய்து, தன் சகோதரனுக்குச் சந்ததியுண்டாக்கவேண்டும் என்று மோசே எங்களுக்கு எழுதிவைத்திருக்கிறாரே.
saying: “Teacher, Moses wrote for us: If any man’s brother will have died, having a wife, and if he does not have any children, then his brother should take her as his wife, and he should raise up offspring for his brother.
29 ௨௯ சகோதரர்கள் ஏழுபேரிருந்தார்கள், அவர்களில் மூத்தவன் ஒரு பெண்ணைத் திருமணம்செய்து சந்ததியில்லாமல் மரித்துப்போனான்.
And so there were seven brothers. And the first took a wife, and he died without sons.
And the next one married her, and he also died without a son.
31 ௩௧ மூன்றாம் சகோதரனும் அவளை திருமணம் செய்தான். அப்படியே ஏழுபேரும் அவளைத் திருமணம்செய்து சந்ததியில்லாமல் மரித்துப்போனார்கள்.
And the third married her, and similarly all seven, and none of them left behind any offspring, and they each died.
Last of all, the woman also died.
33 ௩௩ இவ்விதமாக ஏழுபேரும் அவளைத் திருமணம் செய்திருக்க, உயிர்த்தெழுதலில் அவர்களில் எவனுக்கு அவள் மனைவியாக இருப்பாள் என்று கேட்டார்கள்.
In the resurrection, then, whose wife will she be? For certainly all seven had her as a wife.”
34 ௩௪ இயேசு அவர்களுக்குப் மறுமொழியாக: இந்த உலகத்தின் மக்கள் பெண் எடுத்தும் பெண் கொடுத்தும் வருகிறார்கள். (aiōn g165)
And so, Jesus said to them: “The children of this age marry and are given in marriage. (aiōn g165)
35 ௩௫ மறுமையையும் மரித்தோரிலிருந்து உயிரோடு எழுந்திருக்குதலையும் அடைய தகுதியானவராக எண்ணப்படுகிறவர்களோ பெண் எடுப்பதுமில்லை பெண் கொடுப்பதுமில்லை. (aiōn g165)
Yet truly, those who shall be held worthy of that age, and of the resurrection from the dead, will neither be married, nor take wives. (aiōn g165)
36 ௩௬ அவர்கள் இனி மரிக்கவும் மாட்டார்கள்; அவர்கள் உயிர்த்தெழுதலின் மக்களானபடியால் தேவதூதர்களுக்கு நிகரானவர்களுமாக, தேவனுடைய மக்களுமாக இருப்பார்கள்.
For they can no longer die. For they are equal to the Angels, and they are children of God, since they are children of the resurrection.
37 ௩௭ அல்லாமலும் மரித்தோர் உயிரோடு எழுந்திருப்பார்களென்பதை மோசேயும் முட்செடியைப்பற்றிய வாக்கியத்தில் காண்பித்திருக்கிறார். எப்படியென்றால், யெகோவாவை ஆபிரகாமின் தேவனென்றும் ஈசாக்கின் தேவனென்றும் யாக்கோபின் தேவனென்றும் சொல்லியிருக்கிறார்.
For in truth, the dead do rise again, as Moses also showed beside the bush, when he called the Lord: ‘The God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.’
38 ௩௮ அவர் மரித்தோரின் தேவனாக இல்லாமல், ஜீவனுள்ளோரின் தேவனாக இருக்கிறார்; எல்லோரும் அவருக்குள் பிழைத்திருக்கிறார்களே என்றார்.
And so he is not the God of the dead, but of the living. For all are alive to him.”
Then some of the scribes, in response, said to him, “Teacher, you have spoken well.”
And they no longer dared to question him about anything.
But he said to them: “How can they say that the Christ is the son of David?
42 ௪௨ நான் உம்முடைய விரோதிகளை உமக்குப் பாதபடியாக்கிப்போடும்வரைக்கும் நீர் என்னுடைய வலதுபக்கத்தில் உட்காரும் என்று,
Even David himself says, in the book of Psalms: ‘The Lord said to my Lord, sit at my right hand,
until I set your enemies as your footstool.’
Therefore, David calls him Lord. So how can he be his son?”
Now in the hearing of all the people, he said to his disciples:
46 ௪௬ “நீண்ட அங்கிகளை அணிந்துகொண்டு திரியவும், சந்தைவெளிகளில் வணக்கங்களைப் பெறவும், ஜெப ஆலயங்களில் முதன்மையான இருக்கைகளில் உட்காரவும், விருந்துகளில் முதன்மையான இடங்களில் இருக்கவும் விரும்பி,
“Be cautious of the scribes, who choose to walk in long robes, and who love greetings in the marketplace, and the first chairs in the synagogues, and the first places at table during feasts,
47 ௪௭ விதவைகளின் வீடுகளைப் பட்சித்து, பார்வைக்கு நீண்ட ஜெபம்செய்கிற வேதபண்டிதர்களைக்குறித்து எச்சரிக்கையாக இருங்கள், அவர்கள் அதிக தண்டனையை அடைவார்கள்” என்றார்.
who devour the houses of widows, feigning long prayers. These will receive the greater damnation.”
