யோவான் 15
"I am the vine, and my Father the vine-grower.
2 ௨ என்னில் கனிகொடுக்காதிருக்கிற கொடி எதுவோ அதை அவர் அறுத்துப்போடுகிறார்; கனிகொடுக்கிற கொடி எதுவோ, அது அதிக கனிகளைக் கொடுக்கும்படி, அதைச் சுத்தம்செய்கிறார்.
"He cuts back any of my branches that bear no fruit, and prunes every fruit-bearing branch, that it may bear more.
"Now you are clean through the word which I have spoken to you.
4 ௪ என்னில் நிலைத்திருங்கள், நானும் உங்களில் நிலைத்திருப்பேன்; கொடியானது திராட்சைச்செடியில் நிலைத்திராவிட்டால் அது தானாக கனிகொடுக்காததுபோல, நீங்களும் என்னில் நிலைத்திராவிட்டால், கனிகொடுக்கமாட்டீர்கள்.
"Abide in me, and I in you. Just as the branch cannot bear fruit of itself except it abide in the vine, no more can you, unless you abide in me.
5 ௫ நானே திராட்சைச்செடி, நீங்கள் கொடிகள். ஒருவன் என்னிலும் நான் அவனிலும் நிலைத்திருந்தால், அவன் மிகுந்த கனிகளைக் கொடுப்பான்; என்னை அல்லாமல் உங்களால் ஒன்றும் செய்யமுடியாது.
"I am the Vine you are the branches. He who abides in me and I in him, bears abundant fruit; because apart from me you can do nothing.
6 ௬ ஒருவன் என்னில் நிலைத்திராவிட்டால், வெளியே எரியப்பட்ட கொடியைப்போல அவன் எரியப்பட்டு உலர்ந்துபோவான்; அப்படிப்பட்டவைகளைச் சேர்த்து, அக்கினியிலே போடுகிறார்கள்; அவைகள் எரிந்துபோகும்.
"If any one does not abide in me he is thrown away like a branch and withers. Such branches are gathered up and thrown into the fire and burned.
7 ௭ நீங்கள் என்னிலும், என் வார்த்தைகள் உங்களிலும் நிலைத்திருந்தால், நீங்கள் கேட்டுக்கொள்ளுவது எதுவோ அது உங்களுக்குச் செய்யப்படும்.
"If you abide in me and my words abide in you, ask whatever your will is, and it shall be yours.
"By this is my Father glorified, by your bearing abundant fruit, and so being my disciples.
9 ௯ பிதா என்னில் அன்பாக இருக்கிறதுபோல நானும் உங்களில் அன்பாக இருக்கிறேன்; என்னுடைய அன்பிலே நிலைத்திருங்கள்.
"As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you; abide in my love.
10 ௧0 நான் என் பிதாவின் கட்டளைகளைக் கடைபிடித்து அவருடைய அன்பிலே நிலைத்திருக்கிறதுபோல, நீங்களும் என் கட்டளைகளைக் கடைபிடித்தால், என்னுடைய அன்பிலே நிலைத்திருப்பீர்கள்.
"If you obey my commands you will abide in my love, just as I have obeyed my Father’s commands and abide in his love.
11 ௧௧ என்னுடைய சந்தோஷம் உங்களில் நிலைத்திருக்கும்படிக்கும், உங்களுடைய சந்தோஷம் நிறைவாக இருக்கும்படிக்கும், இவைகளை உங்களுக்குச் சொன்னேன்.
"I have told you these things that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.
12 ௧௨ நான் உங்களில் அன்பாக இருக்கிறதுபோல நீங்களும் ஒருவரிலொருவர் அன்பாக இருக்கவேண்டும் என்பதே என்னுடைய கட்டளையாக இருக்கிறது.
"This is my command, Love one another as I have loved you.
"Greater love has no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.
"You are my friends if you do what I command you.
15 ௧௫ இனி நான் உங்களை வேலைக்காரர்கள் என்று சொல்லுகிறதில்லை, வேலைக்காரன் தன் எஜமான் செய்கிறதை அறியமாட்டான். நான் உங்களை நண்பர்கள் என்றேன், ஏனென்றால், என் பிதாவினிடத்தில் நான் கேள்விப்பட்ட எல்லாவற்றையும் உங்களுக்கு அறிவித்தேன்.
"I no longer call you slaves, because a slave does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, because I have made known to you everything that I have learned from my Father.
16 ௧௬ நீங்கள் என்னைத் தெரிந்துகொள்ளவில்லை, நான் உங்களைத் தெரிந்துகொண்டேன்; நீங்கள் என் நாமத்தினாலே பிதாவைக் கேட்டுக்கொள்ளுவது எதுவோ, அதை அவர் உங்களுக்குக் கொடுக்கும்படி நீங்கள் போய்க் கனி கொடுக்கும்படிக்கும், உங்களுடைய கனி நிலைத்திருக்கும்படிக்கும், நான் உங்களை ஏற்படுத்தினேன்.
"You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you, that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain; so that whatever you ask the Father in my name, he may give it to you.
"This is my command. to love one another. If the worlds hates you,
"do not forget that it hated me first.
19 ௧௯ நீங்கள் உலகத்தாராக இருந்தால், உலகம் தன்னுடையதை நேசித்திருக்கும்; நீங்கள் உலகத்தாராக இல்லாதபடியினாலும், நான் உங்களை உலகத்திலிருந்து தெரிந்துகொண்டபடியினாலும், உலகம் உங்களைப் பகைக்கிறது.
"If you belonged to the world, the world would love its own; but because you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, for that reason the world hates you.
20 ௨0 வேலைக்காரன் தன் எஜமானைவிட பெரியவன் இல்லை என்று நான் உங்களுக்குச் சொன்ன வார்த்தையை நினைத்துக்கொள்ளுங்கள். அவர்கள் என்னைத் துன்பப்படுத்தினது உண்டானால், உங்களையும், துன்பப்படுத்துவார்கள்; அவர்கள் என் வார்த்தையை கடைபிடித்தது உண்டானால், உங்களுடைய வார்த்தையையும் கடைப்பிடிப்பார்கள்.
"Remember what I told you, ‘A slave is not better than his master.’ If they persecuted me, they will persecute you. If they have obeyed my word, they will obey yours also.
21 ௨௧ அவர்கள் என்னை அனுப்பினவரை அறியாதபடியினால் என் நாமத்தினிமித்தமே இவைகளையெல்லாம் உங்களுக்குச் செய்வார்கள்.
"But they will do all these things to you for my name’s sake, because they know not Him who sent me.
22 ௨௨ நான் வந்து அவர்களோடு பேசாதிருந்தால் அவர்களுக்குப் பாவம் இருக்காது; இப்பொழுதோ தங்களுடைய பாவத்தைக்குறித்து சாக்குச்சொல்ல அவர்களுக்கு இடமில்லை.
"If I had not come and spoken to them, they would have no sin; but now they have no excuse for their sin.
"He who hates me hates my Father also.
24 ௨௪ வேறொருவரும் செய்யாத செயல்களை நான் அவர்களுக்குள்ளே செய்யாதிருந்தால், அவர்களுக்குப் பாவம் இருக்காது; இப்பொழுது அவர்கள் என்னையும் என் பிதாவையும் பார்த்தும், பகைத்தும் இருக்கிறார்கள்.
"If I had not done among them such works as none ever did, they would have had no sin; but now they have both seen and hated both me and my Father.
25 ௨௫ காரணம் இல்லாமல் என்னைப் பகைத்தார்கள் என்று அவர்களுடைய வேதத்தில் எழுதி இருக்கிற வாக்கியம் நிறைவேறும்படி இப்படியானது.
"And so is fulfilled the word written in their Law, ‘They hate me without cause.’
26 ௨௬ பிதாவினிடத்திலிருந்து நான் உங்களுக்கு அனுப்பப்போகிறவரும், பிதாவினிடத்திலிருந்து புறப்படுகிறவருமாகிய சத்திய ஆவியான தேற்றரவாளன் வரும்போது, அவர் என்னைக்குறித்துச் சாட்சி கொடுப்பார்.
"When the Comforter is come whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of Truth who comes forth from the Father, he will bear witness of me;
"and you to shall bear witness because you have been with me from the first.
