யோபு 7
1 ௧ பூமியிலே பாடுபட மனிதனுக்குக் குறிக்கப்பட்ட காலம் உண்டல்லவோ? அவனுடைய நாட்கள் ஒரு கூலிக்காரன் நாட்களைப்போல் இருக்கிறதல்லவோ?
Is there not a warfare to man upon earth? And are not his days like the days of a hireling?
As a servant who earnestly desires the shadow, and as a hireling who looks for his wages,
so I am made to possess months of misery, and wearisome nights are appointed to me.
4 ௪ நான் படுத்துக்கொள்ளுகிறபோது, எப்பொழுது எழுந்திருப்பேன்? இரவு எப்பொழுது முடியும் என்று சொல்லி, விடியும்வரை உருண்டு புரளுகிறதினால் எனக்குப் போதுமென்றுபோகிறது.
When I lie down, I say, When shall I arise, and the night be gone? And I am full of tossing to and fro to the dawning of the day.
5 ௫ என் உடல் பூச்சிகளினாலும், அடைபற்றின புழுதியினாலும் மூடப்பட்டிருக்கிறது; என் தோல் வெடித்து அருவருப்பாயிற்று.
My flesh is clothed with worms and clods of dust. My skin closes up, and breaks out afresh.
6 ௬ என் நாட்கள் நெய்கிறவன் எறிகிற நாடாவிலும் தீவிரமாக ஓடுகிறது; அவைகள் நம்பிக்கையில்லாமல் முடிந்துபோகும்.
My days are swifter than a weaver's shuttle, and are spent without hope.
7 ௭ என் உயிர் காற்றைப்போலிருக்கிறதென்றும், என் கண்கள் இனி நன்மையைக் காணப்போகிறதில்லையென்றும் நினைத்தருளும்.
O remember that my life is a breath. My eye shall no more see good.
8 ௮ இப்போது என்னைக் காண்கிறவர்களின் கண்கள் இனி என்னைக் காண்பதில்லை; உம்முடைய கண்கள் என்மேல் நோக்கமாயிருக்கிறது; நானோ இல்லாமற்போகிறேன்.
The eye of him who sees me shall behold me no more. Thine eyes shall be upon me, but I shall not be.
As the cloud is consumed and vanishes away, so he who goes down to Sheol shall come up no more. (Sheol h7585)
He shall return no more to his house, nor shall his place know him any more.
11 ௧௧ ஆகையால் நான் என் வாயை அடக்காமல், என் ஆவியின் வேதனையினால் பேசி, என் ஆத்துமாவின் கசப்பினால் அங்கலாய்ப்பேன்.
Therefore I will not refrain my mouth. I will speak in the anguish of my spirit. I will complain in the bitterness of my soul.
Am I a sea, or a sea-monster, that thou set a watch over me?
13 ௧௩ என் கட்டில் எனக்கு ஆறுதல் கொடுக்கும் என்றும், என் படுக்கை என் தவிப்பை ஆற்றும் என்றும் நான் சொல்வேன் என்றால்,
When I say, My bed shall comfort me. My couch shall ease my complaint.
Then thou scare me with dreams, and terrify me through visions,
15 ௧௫ அதினால் என் ஆத்துமா, நெருக்கப்பட்டு சாகிறதையும், என் எலும்புகளுடன் உயிரோடிருக்கிறதைவிட, மரணத்தையும் விரும்புகிறது.
so that my soul chooses strangling and death rather than these my bones.
16 ௧௬ இப்படியிருக்கிறதை வெறுக்கிறேன்; எந்நாளும் உயிரோடிருக்க விரும்பமாட்டேன், என்னை விட்டுவிடும்; என் நாட்கள் மாயைதானே.
I loathe my life. I would not live always. Let me alone, for my days are vanity.
What is man, that thou should magnify him, and that thou should set thy mind upon him,
and that thou should visit him every morning, and try him every moment?
How long will thou not look away from me, nor let me alone till I swallow down my spittle?
20 ௨0 மனிதர்களைக் காப்பவரே, பாவம்செய்தேனானால் உமக்கு நான் செய்யவேண்டியது என்ன? நான் எனக்குத்தானே பாரமாயில்லாமல், நீர் என்னை உமக்குக் குறியாக வைத்தது என்ன?
If I have sinned, what do I do to thee, O thou watcher of men? Why have thou set me as a mark for thee, so that I am a burden to myself?
21 ௨௧ என் மீறுதலை நீர் மன்னிக்காமலும், என் அக்கிரமத்தை நீக்காமலும் இருக்கிறது என்ன? இப்பொழுதே மண்ணில் படுத்துக்கொள்வேன்; விடியற்காலத்திலே என்னைத் தேடுவீரானால் நான் இருக்கமாட்டேன்” என்றான்.
And why do thou not pardon my transgression, and take away my iniquity? For now I shall lie down in the dust, and thou will seek me diligently, but I shall not be.
