யோபு 20

1 ௧ அப்பொழுது நாகமாத்தியனான சோப்பார் மறுமொழியாக:

Then answered Zophar the Naamathite, and said,

2 ௨ “இதற்காக பதில் கொடுக்க என் சிந்தனைகள் என்னை ஏவுகிறதினால் நான் விரைவாகச் சொல்லுகிறேன்.

Therefore do my thoughts cause me to answer, and for [this] I make haste.

3 ௩ நிந்தித்தேன் என்று நான் கடிந்து கொள்ளப்பட்டதைக் கேட்டேன்; ஆனாலும் உணர்வினால் என் ஆவி மறுமொழி சொல்ல என்னை ஏவுகிறது.

I have heard the check of my reproach, and the spirit of my understanding causeth me to answer.

4 ௪ துன்மார்க்கனின் கெம்பீரம் குறுகினது என்பதையும், மாயக்காரனின் சந்தோஷம் ஒரு நிமிடம்மாத்திரம் நிற்கும் என்பதையும்,

Knowest thou [not] this of old, since man was placed upon earth,

5 ௫ அவர் மனிதனைப் பூமியில் வைத்த ஆதிகாலமுதல் இப்படியிருக்கிறது என்பதையும் நீர் அறியீரோ?

That the triumphing of the wicked [is] short, and the joy of the hypocrite [but] for a moment?

6 ௬ அவனுடைய மேன்மை வானபரியந்தம் உயர்ந்தாலும், அவனுடைய தலை மேகங்கள்வரை எட்டினாலும்,

Though his excellence shall mount up to the heavens, and his head reach to the clouds;

7 ௭ அவன் தன் மலத்தைப்போல என்றைக்கும் அழிந்துபோவான்; அவனைக் கண்டவர்கள், அவன் எங்கே? என்பார்கள்.

[Yet] he shall perish for ever like his own dung: they who have seen him shall say, Where [is] he?

8 ௮ அவன் ஒரு கனவைப்போல் பறந்துபோய்க் காணப்படாதவனாவான்; இரவில் தோன்றும் தரிசனத்தைப்போல் பறக்கடிக்கப்படுவான்.

He shall fly away as a dream, and will not be found: yea, he shall be chased away as a vision of the night.

9 ௯ அவனைப் பார்த்த கண் இனி அவனைப் பார்ப்பதில்லை; அவன் இருந்த இடம் இனி அவனைக் காண்பதில்லை.

The eye also [which] saw him shall [see him] no more; neither shall his place any more behold him.

10 ௧0 அவனுடைய பிள்ளைகள் எளிமையானவர்களின் சகாயத்தைத் தேடுவார்கள்; அவன் பறித்ததை அவன் கைகள் திரும்பக் கொடுக்கவேண்டியதாகும்.

His children shall seek to please the poor, and his hands shall restore their goods.

11 ௧௧ அவனுடைய எலும்புகள் அவனுடைய இளவயதின் பாவங்களினால் நிறைந்திருந்து, அவனுடன் மண்ணிலே படுத்துக்கொள்ளும்.

His bones are full [of the sin] of his youth, which shall lie down with him in the dust.

12 ௧௨ பொல்லாப்பு அவனுடைய வாயிலே இனிமையாயிருப்பதால், அவன் அதைத் தன் நாவின்கீழ் அடக்கி,

Though wickedness may be sweet in his mouth, [though] he may hide it under his tongue;

13 ௧௩ அதை விடாமல் அடக்கி, தன் வாய்க்குள்ளே வைத்துக்கொண்டிருந்தாலும்,

[Though] he may spare it, and forsake it not; but keep it still within his mouth:

14 ௧௪ அவனுடைய ஆகாரம் அவன் குடல்களில் மாறி, அவனுக்குள் விரியன்பாம்புகளின் விஷமாகப்போகும்.

[Yet] his food in his bowels is turned, [it is] the gall of asps within him.

15 ௧௫ அவன் விழுங்கின செல்வத்தைக் கக்குவான்; தேவன் அதை அவனுடைய வயிற்றிலிருந்து வெளியே தள்ளிவிடுவார்.

He hath swallowed down riches, and he shall vomit them up again: God shall cast them out of his belly.

16 ௧௬ அவன் விரியன்பாம்புகளின் விஷத்தை உறிஞ்சுவான்; விரியனின் நாக்கு அவனைக் கொல்லும்.

He shall suck the poison of asps: the viper's tongue shall slay him.

17 ௧௭ தேனும் நெய்யும் ஓடும் வாய்க்கால்களையும் ஆறுகளையும் அவன் காண்பதில்லை.

He shall not see the river, the floods, the brooks of honey and buttermilk.

18 ௧௮ தான் பிரயாசப்பட்டுத் தேடினதை அவன் விழுங்காமல் திரும்பக் கொடுப்பான்; அவன் திரும்பக் கொடுக்கிறது அவன் செல்வத்திற்குச் சரியாயிருக்கும்; அவன் மகிழ்ச்சியில்லாதிருப்பான்.

That which he labored for shall he restore, and shall not swallow [it]: according to [his] substance [shall] the restitution [be], and he shall not rejoice [in it].

19 ௧௯ அவன் ஒடுக்கி, ஏழைகளைக் கைவிட்டு, தான் கட்டாத வீட்டை அபகரித்தபடியினாலும்,

Because he hath oppressed [and] hath forsaken the poor; [because] he hath violently taken away a house which he did not build.

20 ௨0 தன் வயிறு திருப்தி அடையாமல் இருந்ததினாலும், அவன் விரும்பின காரியங்களில் அவனுக்கு ஒன்றும் இருப்பதில்லை.

Surely he shall not feel quietness in his belly, he shall not save of that which he desired.

21 ௨௧ அவனுடைய ஆகாரத்தில் ஒன்றும் மீதியாவதில்லை; ஆகையால் அவனுடைய செல்வம் நிலைநிற்பதில்லை.

There shall none of his food be left; therefore shall no man look for his goods.

22 ௨௨ அவன் வேண்டுமென்கிற பரிபூரணம் அவனுக்கு வந்தபின், அவனுக்கு வேதனை உண்டாகும்; சிறுமைப்படுகிற ஒவ்வொருவருடைய கையும் அவன்மேல் வரும்.

In the fullness of his sufficiency he shall be in straits: every hand of the wicked shall come upon him.

23 ௨௩ தன் வயிற்றை நிரப்பத்தக்கது இன்னும் அவனுக்கு இருந்தாலும், அவர் அவன்மேல் தமது கோபத்தின் கடுமையை வரவழைத்து, அவன் சாப்பிடும்போது, அதை அவன்மேல் வரச்செய்வார்.

[When] he is about to fill his belly, [God] shall cast the fury of his wrath upon him, and shall rain [it] upon him while he is eating.

24 ௨௪ இரும்பு ஆயுதத்திற்கு அவன் தப்பியோடினாலும் வெண்கல அம்பு அவனை உருவ எய்யும்.

He shall flee from the iron weapon, [and] the bow of steel shall strike him through.

25 ௨௫ உருவின பட்டயம் அவன் சரீரத்தையும், மின்னுகிற அம்பு அவன் ஈரலையும் உருவிப்போகும்; பயங்கரங்கள் அவன்மேல் வரும்.

It is drawn, and cometh out of the body; yes, the glittering sword cometh out of his gall: terrors [are] upon him.

26 ௨௬ அவன் ஒளிக்கும் இடங்களில் காரிருள் அடங்கியிருக்கும்; அணையாத நெருப்பு அவனை எரிக்கும்; அவன் கூடாரத்தில் மீதியாயிருக்கிறவன் பாடு அநுபவிப்பான்.

All darkness [shall be] hid in his secret places: a fire not blown shall consume him; it shall go ill with him that is left in his tabernacle.

27 ௨௭ வானங்கள் அவனுடைய குற்றத்தை வெளிப்படுத்தி, பூமி அவனுக்கு விரோதமாக எழும்பும்.

The heaven shall reveal his iniquity; and the earth shall rise up against him.

28 ௨௮ வெள்ளத்தினால் அவனுடைய வீட்டின் சம்பத்துப் கரைந்து போய்விடும்; தேவனுடைய கோபம் வெள்ளம் போல் அவைகள் மேல் ஊற்றப்படும் கரைந்து போகும்.

The increase of his house shall depart, [and his goods] shall flow away in the day of his wrath.

29 ௨௯ இதுவே தேவனால் துன்மார்க்கனுக்குக் கிடைக்கும் பங்கும், அவனுடைய செய்கைக்கு தேவனால் அவனுக்கு வரும் பங்காகும்” என்றான்.

This [is] the portion of a wicked man from God, and the heritage appointed to him by God.
