ஏசாயா 34

1 ௧ தேசங்களே, கேட்கிறதற்கு அருகில் வாருங்கள்; மக்களே, கவனியுங்கள்; பூமியும் அதின் நிறைவும், பூச்சக்கரமும் அதில் உற்பத்தியான யாவும் கேட்பதாக.

Draw near, you nations; and listen, you princes; let the earth hear, and they that are in it; the world, and the people that are therein.

2 ௨ சகல தேசங்களின்மேலும் யெகோவாவுடைய கடுங்கோபமும், அவைகளுடைய சகல சேனைகளின்மேலும் அவருடைய உக்கிரமும் மூளுகிறது; அவர்களை அழிவிற்கு நியமித்து, கொலைக்கு ஒப்புக்கொடுக்கிறார்.

For the wrath of the Lord is upon all nations, and [his] anger upon the number of them, to destroy them, and give them up to slaughter.

3 ௩ அவர்களிலே கொலைசெய்யப்பட்டவர்கள் வெளியே எறியப்பட்டுக்கிடப்பார்கள்; அவர்களுடைய சடலங்கள் நாற்றமெடுக்கும்; அவர்களுடைய இரத்தத்தினாலே மலைகளும் கரைந்துபோகும்.

And their slain shall be cast forth, and their corpses; and their [ill] savor shall come up, and the mountains shall be made wet with their blood.

4 ௪ வானத்தின் சர்வ சேனையும் கரைந்து, வானங்கள் புத்தகச்சுருளைப்போல் சுருட்டப்பட்டு, அவைகளின் சர்வசேனையும் திராட்சைச்செடியின் இலைகள் உதிர்வதுபோலவும், அத்திமரத்தின் காய்கள் உதிர்வதுபோலவும் உதிர்ந்து விழும்.

And all the powers of the heavens shall melt, and the sky shall be rolled up like a scroll: and all the stars shall fall like leaves from a vine, and as leaves fall from a fig tree.

5 ௫ வானங்களில் என் பட்டயம் வெறிகொண்டது; இதோ, ஏதோமின்மேலும், நான் அழிவிற்கு நியமித்த மக்களின்மேலும், அது நியாயம்செய்ய இறங்கும்.

My sword has been made drunk in heaven: behold, it shall come down upon Idumea, and with judgment upon the people doomed to destruction.

6 ௬ போஸ்றா பட்டணத்திலே யெகோவாவுக்கு ஒரு யாகமும், ஏதோம் தேசத்திலே மகா அழிவும் உண்டு; யெகோவாவுடைய பட்டயம் இரத்தத்தால் திருப்தியாகி, கொழுப்பினால் பூரிக்கின்றது; ஆட்டுக்குட்டிகள் கடாக்களுடைய இரத்தத்தினாலும், ஆட்டுக்கடாக்களுடைய சிறுநீரகங்களின் கொழுப்பினாலும் திருப்தியாகும்.

The sword of the Lord is filled with blood, it is glutted with fat, with the blood of goats and lambs, and with the fat of goats and rams: for the Lord has a sacrifice in Bosor, and a great slaughter in Idumea.

7 ௭ அவைகளுடன் காண்டாமிருகங்களும், காளைகளின் கூட்டமும்வந்து மடியும்; அவர்கள் தேசம் இரத்தவெறிகொண்டு, அவர்களுடைய மண், மிருகங்களுடைய கொழுப்பினால் கொழுத்துப்போகும்.

And the mighty ones shall fall with them, and the rams and the bulls; and the land shall be soaked with blood, and shall be filled with their fat.

8 ௮ அது யெகோவா பழிவாங்கும் நாள், சீயோனுடைய வழக்கினிமித்தம் பதிலளிக்கும் வருடம்.

For it is the day of judgment of the Lord, and the year of the recompence of Sion in judgment.

9 ௯ அதின் ஆறுகள் பிசினாகவும், அதின் மண் கந்தகமாகவும் மாறி, அதின் நிலம் எரிகிற கீலாய்ப்போகும்.

And her valleys shall be turned into pitch, and her land into sulphur; and her land shall be as pitch burning night and day;

10 ௧0 இரவும் பகலும் அது அணையாது; அதின் புகை என்றென்றைக்கும் எழும்பும்; தலைமுறை தலைமுறையாக அது பாழாயிருக்கும்; சதாகாலம் சதாகாலமாக அதை ஒருவரும் கடந்துபோவதில்லை.

and it shall never be quenched, and her smoke shall go up: it shall be made desolate throughout her generations,

11 ௧௧ நாரையும் முள்ளம்பன்றியும் அதைச் சொந்தமாக்கிக்கொள்ளும், ஆந்தையும் காக்கையும் அதிலே குடியிருக்கும்; அதின்மேல் வெட்டவெளியின் அளவுநூலையும், வெறுமையின் தூக்குநூலையும் பிடிப்பார்.

and for a long time birds and hedgehogs, and ibises and ravens shall dwell in it: and the measuring line of desolation shall be cast over it, and satyrs shall dwell in it.

12 ௧௨ அரசாட்சிசெய்ய அதின் மேன்மக்களை அழைத்தால், அங்கே அவர்களில் ஒருவரும் இருக்கமாட்டார்கள்; அதின் பிரபுக்கள் அனைவரும் இல்லாமற்போவார்கள்.

Her princes shall be no more; for her kings and her great men shall be destroyed.

13 ௧௩ அதின் அரண்மனைகளில் முட்செடிகளும், அதின் கோட்டைகளில் முட்புதர்களும் முட்பூண்டுகளும் முளைக்கும்; அது வலுசர்ப்பங்களின் குடியிருப்பும், ஆந்தைகளின் மாளிகையுமாயிருக்கும்.

And thorns shall spring up in their cities, and in her strong holds: and they shall be habitations of monsters, and a court of ostriches.

14 ௧௪ அங்கே காட்டுமிருகங்களும் நரிகளும் ஒன்றையொன்று சந்தித்து, காட்டாட்டைக் காட்டாடு கூப்பிடும்; அங்கே ஆந்தைகளும் தங்கி, இளைப்பாறும் இடத்தைக் கண்டடையும்.

And devils shall meet with satyrs, and they shall cry one to the other: there shall satyrs rest, having found for themselves [a place of] rest.

15 ௧௫ அங்கே இராஜாளிக்கழுகு கூடுகட்டி, முட்டையிட்டு, குஞ்சுபொரித்து, அவைகளைத் தன் நிழலிலே கூட்டிக்கொள்ளும்; அங்கே பருந்துகளும் ஜோடிஜோடியாகச் சேரும்.

There has the hedgehog made its nest, and the earth has safely preserved its young: there have the deer met, and seen one another's faces.

16 ௧௬ யெகோவாவுடைய புத்தகத்திலே தேடி வாசியுங்கள்; இவைகளில் ஒன்றும் குறையாது; இவைகளில் ஒன்றும் இணை இல்லாமல் இருக்காது; அவருடைய வாய் இதைச் சொன்னது; அவருடைய ஆவி அவைகளைச் சேர்க்கும்.

They passed by in [full] number, and not one of them perished: they sought not one another; for the Lord commanded them, and his Spirit gathered them.

17 ௧௭ அவரே அவைகளுக்குச் சீட்டுப்போட்டார்; அவருடைய கையே அதை அவைகளுக்கு அளவுநூலால் பகிர்ந்து கொடுத்தது; அவைகள் என்றைக்கும் அதைச் சொந்தமாக்கிக்கொண்டு தலைமுறை தலைமுறையாக அதிலே வசிக்கும்.

And he shall cast lots for them, and his hand has portioned out [their] pasture, [saying], You shall inherit [the land] for ever: they shall rest on it [through] all generations.
