ஓசியா 10

1 ௧ இஸ்ரவேல் பலனற்ற திராட்சைச்செடி, அது தனக்குத்தானே பழங்களைக் கொடுக்கிறது; அவன் தன் பழங்களின் பெருக்கத்திற்குச் சரியாகப் பலிபீடங்களை அதிகமாக்குகிறான்; தங்கள் தேசத்தின் செழிப்பிற்குச் சரியாகச் சிறப்பான சிலைகளைச் செய்கிறார்கள்.

Israel is a emptie vine, yet hath it brought foorth fruite vnto it selfe, and according to the multitude of the fruite thereof he hath increased the altars: according to the goodnesse of their lande they haue made faire images.

2 ௨ ஏமாற்றுகிற இருதயம் அவர்களுக்கு இருக்கிறது; இப்போதும் குற்றம் சுமத்தப்படுவார்கள்; அவர்களுடைய பலிபீடங்களை இடித்து, அவர்களுடைய சிலைகளை நாசமாக்குவார்.

Their heart is deuided: nowe shall they be founde faultie: he shall breake downe their altars: he shall destroy their images.

3 ௩ நாம் யெகோவாவுக்குப் பயப்படாமற்போனதினால் நமக்கு ராஜா இல்லை; ராஜா இருந்தாலும் நமக்காக என்ன செய்வான் என்று இனிச் சொல்லுவார்கள்.

For now they shall say, We haue no King because we feared not the Lord: and what should a King doe to vs?

4 ௪ பொய்யாகச் சத்தியம் செய்கிற வார்த்தைகளைச் சொல்லி, உடன்படிக்கை செய்துகொண்டார்கள்; ஆகையால் வயல்வெளியின் உழவுசால்களில் விஷச் செடிகளைப்போல நியாயத்தீர்ப்பு முளைக்கும்.

They haue spoken woordes, swearing falsly in making a couenant: thus iudgement groweth as wormewoode in the furrowes of the fielde.

5 ௫ சமாரியாவின் குடிமக்கள் பெத்தாவேனிலுள்ள கன்றுக்குட்டியினிமித்தம் பயம் அடைவார்கள்; அதற்காகக் களிகூர்ந்த அதின் மக்களும், அதின் பூசாரிகளும் அதின் மகிமை அதைவிட்டு நீங்கிப்போயிற்றென்று அதற்காகத் துக்கம்கொண்டாடுவார்கள்.

The inhabitants of Samaria shall feare because of the calfe of Beth-auen: for the people thereof shall mourne ouer it, and the Chemarims thereof, that reioyced on it for the glorie thereof, because it is departed from it.

6 ௬ அதுவும் அசீரியாவிலே யாரேப் ராஜாவிற்குக் காணிக்கையாகக் கொண்டுபோகப்படும்; எப்பிராயீம் அவமானமடைவான்; இஸ்ரவேல் தன் மர விக்கிரங்களினால்வெட்கப்படுவான்.

It shall bee also brought to Asshur, for a present vnto King Iareb: Ephraim shall receiue shame, and Israel shall be ashamed of his owne counsell.

7 ௭ சமாரியாவின் ராஜா தண்ணீரின்மேல் இருக்கிற நுரையைப்போல் அழிந்துபோவான்.

Of Samaria, the King thereof is destroyed as the some vpon the water.

8 ௮ இஸ்ரவேலுடைய பாவமாகிய ஆபேனின் மேடைகள் அழிக்கப்படும்; முட்செடிகளும் முட்பூண்டுகளும் அவர்கள் பலிபீடங்களின்மேல் முளைக்கும்; மலைகளைப்பார்த்து எங்களை மூடுங்கள் என்றும், குன்றுகளைப்பார்த்து எங்கள்மேல் விழுங்கள் என்றும் சொல்வார்கள்.

The hie places also of Auen shall be destroied, euen the sinne of Israel: the thorne and the thistle shall growe vpon their altars, and they shall say to the mountaines, Couer vs, and to the hils, Fall vpon vs.

9 ௯ இஸ்ரவேலே, நீ கிபியாவின் நாட்களிலிருந்து பாவம்செய்துவந்தாய்; கிபியாவிலே அக்கிமக்காரர்கள்மேல் வந்த போர் தங்களைக் நெருங்குவதில்லையென்று அந்த நிலையிலே நிற்கிறார்கள்.

O Israel, thou hast sinned from the daies of Gibeah: there they stoode: the battell in Gibeah against the children of iniquitie did not touch them.

10 ௧0 நான் அவர்களை தண்டிக்க விரும்புகிறேன்; அவர்கள் செய்த இரண்டுவித பாவங்களினாலே கட்டப்படும்போது, மக்கள் அவர்களுக்கு விரோதமாகக் கூடுவார்கள்.

It is my desire that I should chastice them, and the people shall be gathered against them, when they shall gather themselues in their two furrowes.

11 ௧௧ எப்பிராயீம் நன்றாகப் பழக்கப்பட்டுப் போரடிக்க விரும்புகிற இளம்கன்றாக இருக்கிறான்; ஆனாலும் நான் அவனுடைய அழகான கழுத்தின்மேல் பாரத்தை வைப்பேன்; எப்பிராயீமை ஏர் பூட்டி ஓட்டுவேன்; யூதா உழுவான், யாக்கோபு அவனுக்கு வயலை சமப்படுத்துவான்.

And Ephraim is as an heifer vsed to delite in threshing: but I will passe by her faire necke: I will make Ephraim to ride: Iudah shall plowe, and Iaakob shall breake his cloddes.

12 ௧௨ நீங்கள் நீதிக்கென்று விதைவிதையுங்கள்; தயவுக்கு ஏற்றபடி அறுப்பு அறுங்கள்; உங்களுடைய தரிசுநிலத்தைப் பண்படுத்துங்கள்; யெகோவா வந்து உங்கள்மேல் நீதியைப் பொழியச்செய்யும்வரை, அவரைத் தேடக் காலமாயிருக்கிறது.

Sowe to your selues in righteousnes: reape after the measure of mercy: breake vp your fallowe grounde: for it is time to seeke the Lord, till he come and raine righteousnesse vpon you.

13 ௧௩ அநியாயத்தை உழுதீர்கள், அநீதியை அறுத்தீர்கள்; பொய்யின் கனிகளைச் சாப்பிட்டீர்கள்; உங்கள் வழியையும் உங்கள் திறமைசாலிகளின் கூட்டத்தையும் நம்பினீர்கள்.

But you haue plowed wickednesse: ye haue reaped iniquitie: you haue eaten the fruite of lies: because thou didest trust in thine owne waies, and in the multitude of thy strong men,

14 ௧௪ ஆகையால் உங்கள் மக்களுக்குள் குழப்பம் எழும்பும்; பிள்ளைகளின்மேல் தாய் மோதியடிக்கப்பட்ட யுத்தநாளிலே பெத்தார்பேலைச் சல்மான் அழித்ததுபோல, உங்கள் எல்லா பாதுகாப்புகளும் அழிக்கப்படும்.

Therefore shall a tumult arise among thy people, and all thy munitions shall be destroyed, as Shalman destroyed Beth-arbell in the daie of battell: the mother with the children was dashed in pieces.

15 ௧௫ உங்கள் கொடிய பொல்லாப்பினால் பெத்தேல் இப்படிப்பட்டதை உங்களுக்குச் செய்யும்; அதிகாலமே இஸ்ரவேலின் ராஜா முற்றிலும் அழிக்கப்படுவான்.

So shall Beth-el doe vnto you, because of your malicious wickednes: in a morning shall the King of Israel be destroied.
