எஸ்தர் 4

1 ௧ நடந்த எல்லாவற்றையும் மொர்தெகாய் அறிந்தபோது, மொர்தெகாய் தன்னுடைய ஆடைகளைக் கிழித்து, சணலாடை அணிந்து, சாம்பல் போட்டுக்கொண்டு, நகரத்தின் நடுவே புறப்பட்டுப்போய், துயரமுள்ள உரத்த சத்தத்துடன் அலறிக்கொண்டு,

And Mordecai he knew all that it had been done and he tore Mordecai clothes his and he put on sackcloth and ash[es] and he went out in [the] midst of the city and he cried a cry loud and bitter.

2 ௨ ராஜாவின் அரண்மனை வாசல்வரை வந்தான்; சணலாடை அணிந்தவனாக ராஜாவின் அரண்மனை வாசலுக்குள் நுழைய ஒருவனுக்கும் அனுமதி இல்லை.

And he went to before [the] gate of the king for not to go into [the] gate of the king in clothing of sackcloth.

3 ௩ ராஜாவின் உத்திரவும் அவனுடைய கட்டளையும் போய்ச்சேர்ந்த ஒவ்வொரு நாட்டிலும் யூதர்களுள்ள பகுதிகளில் பெரிய துக்கமும், உபவாசமும், அழுகையும், புலம்பலும் உண்டாகி, அநேகர் சணலாடை அணிந்து சாம்பலில் கிடந்தார்கள்.

And in every province and province [the] place where [the] word of the king and law his [were] reaching mourning great [belonged] to the Jews and fasting and weeping and wailing sackcloth and ash[es] it was spread as a bed by many [people].

4 ௪ அப்பொழுது எஸ்தரின் இளம்பெண்களும், அவளுடைய பணிவிடைக்காரர்களும் போய், அதை அவளுக்கு அறிவித்தார்கள்; அதினாலே ராணி மிகவும் துக்கப்பட்டு, மொர்தெகாய் உடுத்தியிருந்த சணலாடையை எடுத்துப்போட்டு, அவனுக்கு அணிந்துகொள்ள ஆடைகளை அனுப்பினாள்; அவனோ அவைகளை ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளாமல் இருந்தான்.

(And they came *Qk) [the] maids of Esther and eunuchs her and they told to her and she agonized the queen exceedingly and she sent garments to clothe Mordecai and to remove sackcloth his from on him and not he accepted [them].

5 ௫ அப்பொழுது எஸ்தர் தன்னுடைய பணிவிடைக்கென்று ராஜாவினால் நியமித்திருந்த அவனுடைய அதிகாரிகளில் ஒருவனாகிய ஆத்தாகை அழைத்து: காரியம் என்ன? அதின் காரணம் என்ன? என்று அறியும்படி, மொர்தெகாயினிடம் விசாரிக்க அவனுக்குக் கட்டளையிட்டாள்.

And she summoned Esther Hathach one of [the] eunuchs of the king whom he had made stand before her and she commanded him on Mordecai to know what? [was] this and concerning what? [was] this.

6 ௬ அப்படியே ஆத்தாகு ராஜாவின் அரண்மனை வாசலுக்கு முன்னான பட்டணத்து வீதியில் இருக்கிற மொர்தெகாயிடம் புறப்பட்டுப்போனான்.

And he went out Hathach to Mordecai to [the] open place of the city which [was] before [the] gate of the king.

7 ௭ அப்பொழுது மொர்தெகாய் தனக்குச் சம்பவித்த எல்லாவற்றைப்பற்றியும், யூதர்களை அழிக்கும்படி ஆமான் ராஜாவின் கருவூலத்திற்கு எண்ணிக்கொடுப்பேன் என்று சொன்ன பணத்தொகையைப் பற்றியும் அவனுக்கு அறிவித்ததும் அல்லாமல்,

And he told to him Mordecai all that it had happened to him and - [the] exact amount of the silver which he had said Haman to weigh out to [the] treasuries of the king (for the Jews *Qk) to destroy them.

8 ௮ யூதர்களை அழிக்கும்படி சூசானில் பிறந்த கட்டளையின் நகலையும் அவனிடம் கொடுத்து, அதை எஸ்தருக்குக் காண்பித்துத் தெரியப்படுத்தவும், அவள் தைரியமாக ராஜாவிடம் போய், அவனிடம் தன்னுடைய மக்களுக்காக விண்ணப்பம்செய்யவும் மன்றாடவும் வேண்டுமென்று அவளுக்குச் சொல்லச்சொன்னான்.

And copy of [the] writing of the law which it had been given in Susa to annihilate them he gave to him to show Esther and to tell to her and to command to her to go to the king to seek favor to him and to request from to before him on people her.

9 ௯ ஆத்தாகு வந்து, மொர்தெகாயின் வார்த்தைகளை எஸ்தருக்கு அறிவித்தான்.

And he came Hathach and he told to Esther [the] words of Mordecai.

10 ௧0 அப்பொழுது எஸ்தர் ஆத்தாகிடம் மொர்தெகாய்க்குச் சொல்லியனுப்பினது:

And she said Esther to Hathach and she commanded him to Mordecai.

11 ௧௧ யாராவது அழைக்கப்படாமல், உள்முற்றத்தில் ராஜாவிடம் வந்தால், ஆணாக இருந்தாலும் பெண்ணாக இருந்தாலும் சரி, அவர்கள் பிழைக்கும்படி அவர்களுக்கு நேராக ராஜா பொற்செங்கோலை நீட்டினாலொழிய மற்றப்படி சாகவேண்டும் என்கிற ஒரு சட்டமுண்டு, இது ராஜாவின் எல்லா வேலைக்காரர்களுக்கும், ராஜாவுடைய நாடுகளிலுள்ள எல்லா மக்களுக்கும் தெரியும்; நான் இந்த முப்பது நாட்களாக ராஜாவிடம் வரவழைக்கப்படவில்லை என்று சொல்லச்சொன்னாள்.

All [the] servants of the king and [the] people of [the] provinces of the king [are] knowing that every man and woman who he goes to the king into the court inner who not he is summoned [is] one law his to put to death apart from that he extends to him the king [the] scepter of gold and he will live and I not I have been summoned to go to the king this thirty day[s].

12 ௧௨ எஸ்தரின் வார்த்தைகளை மொர்தெகாய்க்குத் தெரிவித்தார்கள்.

And they told to Mordecai [the] words of Esther.

13 ௧௩ மொர்தெகாய் எஸ்தருக்குத் திரும்பச் சொல்லச்சொன்னது: நீ ராஜாவின் அரண்மனையில் இருக்கிறதினால், மற்ற யூதர்கள் தப்ப முடியாமல் இருக்கும்போது, நீ தப்புவாயென்று உன்னுடைய மனதிலே நினைவுகொள்ளாதே.

And he said Mordecai to bring back to Esther may not you imagine in self your to escape [the] house of the king from all the Jews.

14 ௧௪ நீ இந்தக் காலத்திலே மவுனமாக இருந்தால், யூதருக்கு உதவியும் விடுதலையும் வேறொரு இடத்திலிருந்து எழும்பும், அப்பொழுது நீயும் உன்னுடைய தகப்பன் குடும்பத்தாரும் அழிவீர்கள்; நீ இப்படிப்பட்ட காலத்திற்கு உதவியாக இருக்கும்படி உனக்கு ராஜமேன்மை கிடைத்திருக்கலாமே, யாருக்குத் தெரியும், என்று சொல்லச்சொன்னான்.

That except certainly you will keep quiet at the time this relief and deliverance it will arise for the Jews from a place another and you and [the] house of father your you will perish and who? [is] knowing if for a time like this you have reached the queenhood.

15 ௧௫ அப்பொழுது எஸ்தர் மொர்தெகாய்க்கு மறுபடியும் சொல்லச்சொன்னது:

And she said Esther to bring back to Mordecai.

16 ௧௬ நீர் போய், சூசானில் இருக்கிற யூதர்களையெல்லாம் கூடிவரச்செய்து, மூன்று நாட்கள் இரவும் பகலும் சாப்பிடாமலும் குடிக்காமலுமிருந்து, எனக்காக உபவாசம் இருங்கள்; நானும் என்னுடைய பணிவிடைப்பெண்களும் உபவாசம் இருப்போம்; இப்படியே சட்டத்தை மீறி, ராஜாவிடம் போவேன்; நான் செத்தாலும் சாகிறேன் என்று சொல்லச்சொன்னாள்.

Go gather all the Jews who are found in Susa and fast on me and may not you eat and may not you drink three days night and day also I and maids my I will fast thus and in such I will go to the king which not [is] according to the law and just as I have perished I have perished.

17 ௧௭ அப்பொழுது மொர்தெகாய் புறப்பட்டுப்போய், எஸ்தர் தனக்குச் சொன்னபடியெல்லாம் செய்தான்.

And he passed on Mordecai and he did according to all that she had commanded to him Esther.
