உபாகமம் 5
1 ௧ “மோசே இஸ்ரவேலர்கள் எல்லோரையும் அழைப்பித்து, அவர்களை நோக்கி: இஸ்ரவேலர்களே, நான் இன்று உங்கள் காதுகள் கேட்கச் சொல்லும் கட்டளைகளையும் நியாயங்களையும் கேளுங்கள்; நீங்கள் அவைகளின்படியே செய்வதற்கு அவைகளைக் கற்றுக் கைக்கொள்ளக்கடவீர்கள்.
Moses [Drawn out] called to all Israel [God prevails], and said to them, “Sh'ma ·Hear obey·, Israel [God prevails], the statutes and the judgments which I speak in your ears today, that you may learn them, and observe to do them.”
Yahweh Eloheikhem [Yahweh our God] made a covenant with us in Horeb [Desert].
3 ௩ அந்த உடன்படிக்கையைக் யெகோவா நம்முடைய முற்பிதாக்களுடன் செய்யாமல், இந்நாளில் இங்கே உயிரோடிருக்கிற நம் அனைவரோடும் செய்தார்.
Adonai didn’t make this covenant with our fathers, but with us, even us, who are all of us here alive today.
Adonai spoke with you face to face on the mountain out of the middle of the fire,
5 ௫ யெகோவாவுடைய வார்த்தையை உங்களுக்கு அறிவிப்பதற்கு, அக்காலத்திலே நான் யெகோவாவுக்கும், உங்களுக்கும் நடுவாக நின்றேன்; நீங்கள் அக்கினிக்குப் பயந்து மலையில் ஏறாமல் இருந்தீர்கள்; அப்பொழுது அவர் சொன்னது என்னவென்றால்:
(I stood between Adonai and you at that time, to show you Adonai’s word; for you were afraid because of the fire, and didn’t go up onto the mountain) saying,
“I am Adonai your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt [Abode of slavery], out of the house of bondage.
“You shall have no other deities before me.
8 ௮ மேலே வானத்திலும், கீழே பூமியிலும், பூமியின்கீழ் தண்ணீரிலும் உண்டாயிருக்கிறவைகளுக்கு ஒப்பான ஒரு உருவத்தையாகிலும் யாதொரு சிலையையாகிலும் நீ உனக்கு உண்டாக்கவேண்டாம்.
“You shall not make an engraved image for yourself, any likeness of what is in heaven above, or what is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.
9 ௯ நீ அவைகளை வணங்கவும் பூஜை செய்யவும் வேண்டாம்; உன் தேவனாகிய யெகோவாவாயிருக்கிற நான் எரிச்சலுள்ள தேவனாயிருந்து, என்னைப் பகைக்கிறவர்களைக்குறித்து முற்பிதாக்களுடைய அக்கிரமத்தைப் பிள்ளைகளிடத்தில் மூன்றாம், நான்காம் தலைமுறைவரை விசாரிக்கிறவராயிருக்கிறேன்.
You shall not hawa ·bow low, prostrate· yourself down to them, nor abad ·serve· them; for I, Adonai, your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children, and on the third and on the fourth generation of those who hate me;
10 ௧0 என்னிடத்தில் அன்புசெலுத்தி, என் கற்பனைகளைக் கைக்கொள்ளுகிறவர்களுக்கோ ஆயிரம் தலைமுறைவரைக்கும் இரக்கம்செய்கிறவராயிருக்கிறேன்.
and showing cheshed ·loving-kindness· to thousands of those who 'ahav ·affectionately love· me and keep my mitzvot ·instructions·.
11 ௧௧ உன் தேவனாகிய யெகோவாவுடைய நாமத்தை வீணாகப் பயன்படுத்தாதிருப்பாயாக; யெகோவா தம்முடைய நாமத்தை வீணாகப் பயன்படுத்துகிறவனைத் தண்டிக்காமல் விடமாட்டார்.
“You shall not take the name of Adonai your God in vain: for Adonai will not hold him guiltless who takes his name in vain.
“Observe the Sabbath day, to keep it holy, as Adonai your God enjoined you.
You shall labor six days, and do all your work;
14 ௧௪ ஏழாம் நாளோ உன் தேவனாகிய யெகோவாவுடைய ஓய்வு நாள்; அதிலே நீயானாலும், உன்னுடைய மகனானாலும், மகளானாலும், வேலைக்காரனானாலும், வேலைக்காரியானாலும், எருதானாலும், கழுதையானாலும், உனக்கு இருக்கிற மற்றெந்த மிருகஜீவனானாலும், உன் வாசல்களில் இருக்கிற அந்நியனானாலும் எந்தவொரு வேலையும் செய்யவேண்டாம்; நீ இளைப்பாறுவதுபோல உன் வேலைக்காரனும், வேலைக்காரியும் இளைப்பாறவேண்டும்;
but the seventh day is a Sabbath ·To cease· to Adonai your God, in which you shall not do any work, you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your ox, nor your donkey, nor any of your livestock, nor your stranger who is within your gates; that your male servant and your female servant may rest as well as you.
15 ௧௫ நீ எகிப்து தேசத்தில் அடிமையாயிருந்தாய் என்றும், உன் தேவனாகிய யெகோவா உன்னை அவ்விடத்திலிருந்து வல்லமையுள்ள கரத்தினாலும் ஓங்கிய புயத்தினாலும் புறப்படச்செய்தார் என்றும் நினைப்பாயாக; ஆகையால் ஓய்வு நாளை அனுசரிக்க உன் தேவனாகிய யெகோவா உனக்குக் கட்டளையிட்டார்.
You shall remember that you were a servant in the land of Egypt [Abode of slavery], and Adonai your God brought you out of there by a mighty hand and by an outstretched arm. Therefore Adonai your God enjoined you to keep the Sabbath day.
16 ௧௬ உன் தேவனாகிய யெகோவா உனக்குக் கொடுக்கிற தேசத்திலே உன் நாட்கள் நீடித்திருப்பதற்கும், நீ நன்றாயிருப்பதற்கும், உன் தேவனாகிய யெகோவா உனக்குக் கட்டளையிட்டபடியே, உன் தகப்பனையும், தாயையும் மதிப்புடன் நடத்துவாயாக.
“Honor your father and your mother, as Adonai your God enjoined you; that your days may be long, and that it may go well with you, in the land which Adonai your God gives you.
“You shall not murder.
“You shall not commit adultery.
“You shall not steal.
“You shall not give false witness against your neighbor.
21 ௨௧ மற்றவனுடைய மனைவியை இச்சியாதிருப்பாயாக; அவனுடைய வீட்டையும், நிலத்தையும், வேலைக்காரனையும், வேலைக்காரியையும், எருதையும், கழுதையையும், மேலும் அவனுக்குச் சொந்தமான எதையும் இச்சியாதிருப்பாயாக என்றார்.
“You shall not covet your neighbor’s wife. Neither shall you desire your neighbor’s house, his field, or his male servant, or his female servant, his ox, or his donkey, or anything that is your wrote neighbor’s.”
22 ௨௨ “இந்த வார்த்தைகளைக் யெகோவா மலையிலே அக்கினி, மேகம், காரிருள் ஆகியவற்றிலிருந்து உங்கள் சபையார் அனைவரோடும் மகா சத்தத்துடனே சொன்னார்; அவைகளோடு ஒன்றும் கூட்டாமல், அவைகளை இரண்டு கற்பலகைகளில் எழுதி என்னிடத்தில் கொடுத்தார்.
Adonai spoke these words to all your assembly on the mountain out of the middle of the fire, of the cloud, and of the thick darkness, with a great voice. He added no more. He them on two stone tablets, and gave them to me.
23 ௨௩ மலை அக்கினியாக எரியும்போது இருளின் நடுவிலிருந்து உண்டான சத்தத்தை நீங்கள் கேட்டபோது, கோத்திரத் தலைவர்களும் மூப்பர்களுமாகிய நீங்கள் எல்லோரும் என்னிடத்தில் வந்து:
When you sh'ma ·heard obeyed· the voice out of the middle of the darkness, while the mountain was burning with fire, you came near to me, even all the heads of your tribes, and your elders;
24 ௨௪ “இதோ, நம்முடைய தேவனாகிய யெகோவா நமக்குத் தம்முடைய மகிமையையும் தம்முடைய மகத்துவத்தையும் காண்பித்தார்; அக்கினியின் நடுவிலிருந்து பேசின அவருடைய சத்தத்தையும் கேட்டோம்; தேவன் மனிதனுடன் பேசியும், அவன் உயிரோடிருக்கிறதை இந்நாளில் கண்டோம்.
and you said, “Behold, Yahweh Eloheikhem [Yahweh our God] has shown us his kavod ·weighty glory· and his greatness, and we have sh'ma ·heard obeyed· his voice out of the middle of the fire. We have seen today that God does speak with man, and he lives.
25 ௨௫ இப்பொழுது நாங்கள் ஏன் சாகவேண்டும்? இந்தப் பெரிய அக்கினி எங்களை சுட்டெரிக்குமே; நாங்கள் இன்னும் நம்முடைய தேவனாகிய யெகோவாவின் சத்தத்தைக் கேட்போமானால் சாவோம்.
Now therefore why should we die? For this great fire will consume us. If we sh'ma ·hear obey· Yahweh Eloheikhem [Yahweh our God]’s voice any more, then we shall die.
26 ௨௬ நாங்கள் கேட்டதுபோல, அக்கினியின் நடுவிலிருந்து பேசுகிற ஜீவனுள்ள தேவனுடைய சத்தத்தை மாம்சமானவர்களில் யாராவது கேட்டு உயிரோடிருந்தது உண்டா?
For who is there of all flesh, that has sh'ma ·heard obeyed· the voice of the Elohim Chayim [Living God] speaking out of the middle of the fire, as we have, and lived?
27 ௨௭ நீரோ அருகில் சென்று, நம்முடைய தேவனாகிய யெகோவா சொல்வதையெல்லாம் கேட்டு, அவைகளை நீரே எங்களுக்குச் சொல்லவேண்டும்; நாங்கள் கேட்டு, அதின்படியே செய்வோம் என்றீர்கள்.
Go near, and sh'ma ·hear obey· all that Yahweh Eloheikhem [Yahweh our God] shall say, and tell us all that Yahweh Eloheikhem [Yahweh our God] tells you; and we will sh'ma ·hear obey· it, and do it.”
28 ௨௮ நீங்கள் என்னுடன் பேசும்போது, யெகோவா உங்கள் வார்த்தைகளைக் கேட்டு, யெகோவா என்னை நோக்கி; “இந்த மக்கள் உன்னிடம் சொன்ன வார்த்தைகளைக் கேட்டேன்; அவர்கள் சொன்னது எல்லாம் நன்றாக இருந்தது.
Adonai sh'ma ·heard obeyed· the voice of your words, when you spoke to me; and Adonai said to me, “I have sh'ma ·heard obeyed· the voice of the words of this people, which they have spoken to you. They have well said all that they have spoken.
29 ௨௯ அவர்களும் அவர்களுடைய பிள்ளைகளும் என்றென்றைக்கும் நன்றாயிருப்பதற்கு, அவர்கள் எந்நாளும் எனக்குப் பயந்து, என் கற்பனைகளையெல்லாம் கைக்கொள்வதற்கேற்ற இருதயம் அவர்களுக்கு இருந்தால் நலமாயிருக்கும்.
Oh that there were such a heart in them, that they would fear me, and keep all my mitzvot ·instructions· always, that it might be well with them, and with their children forever!
“Go tell them, ‘Teshuvah ·Completely return· to your tents.’
31 ௩௧ நீயோ இங்கே என்னிடத்தில் நில்; நான் அவர்களுக்குச் சொந்தமாகக் கொடுக்கும் தேசத்தில் அவர்கள் செய்யும்படி நீ அவர்களுக்குப் போதிக்கவேண்டிய சகல கற்பனைகளையும், கட்டளைகளையும், நியாயங்களையும் உனக்குச் சொல்லுவேன் என்றார்.
But as for you, stand here by me, and I will tell you all the mitzvot ·instructions·, and the statutes, and the judgments, which you shall teach them, that they may do them in the land which I give them to possess it.”
32 ௩௨ உங்கள் தேவனாகிய யெகோவா உங்களுக்குக் கற்பித்தபடியே செய்ய கவனமாக இருங்கள்; வலதுபுறமும் இடதுபுறமும் சாயாதிருப்பீர்களாக.
You shall observe to do therefore as Adonai your God has enjoined you. You shall not turn aside to the right hand or to the left.
33 ௩௩ நீங்கள் சொந்தமாக்கிக்கொள்கிற தேசத்திலே பிழைத்து சுகமாக நீண்டநாட்கள் வாழ, உங்கள் தேவனாகிய யெகோவா உங்களுக்கு ஏற்படுத்தின வழிகளெல்லாவற்றிலும் நடக்கக்கடவீர்கள்.
You shall walk in all the way which Adonai your God has enjoined you, that you may live, and that it may be well with you, and that you may prolong your days in the land which you shall possess.
