2 நாளாகமம் 2
1 ௧ சாலொமோன் யெகோவாவுடைய நாமத்திற்கு ஒரு ஆலயத்தையும், தனது அரசாட்சிக்கு ஒரு அரண்மனையையும் கட்டத் தீர்மானம் செய்து,
And Solomon said that he would build a house to the name of the Lord, and a house for his kingdom.
2 ௨ சுமைசுமக்கிறதற்கு எழுபதாயிரம் ஆண்களையும், மலையில் மரம் வெட்டுகிறதற்கு எண்பதாயிரம் ஆண்களையும், இவர்கள்மேல் தலைவர்களாக மூவாயிரத்து அறுநூறு ஆண்களையும் கணக்கிட்டு ஏற்படுத்தினான்.
And Solomon gathered seventy thousand men that bore burdens, and eighty thousand hewers of stone in the mountain, and [there were] three thousand six hundred superintendents over them.
3 ௩ தீருவின் ராஜாவாகிய ஈராமிடத்திற்கு ஆள் அனுப்பி: என் தகப்பனாகிய தாவீது தாம் குடியிருக்கும் அரண்மனையைத் தமக்குக் கட்டும்படிக்கு, நீர் அவருக்கு தயவுசெய்து, அவருக்குக் கேதுருமரங்களை அனுப்பினதுபோல எனக்கும் தயவு செய்யும்.
And Solomon sent to Chiram king of Tyre, saying, Whereas thou didst deal [favourably] with David my father, and didst send him cedars to build for himself a house to dwell in,
4 ௪ இதோ, என் தேவனாகிய யெகோவாவுக்கு முன்பாகச் சுகந்தவர்க்கங்களின் தூபம் காட்டுகிறதற்கும், சமுகத்து அப்பங்களை எப்போதும் வைக்கிறதற்கும், காலையிலும் மாலையிலும், ஓய்வு நாட்களிலும், மாதப்பிறப்புகளிலும், எங்கள் தேவனாகிய யெகோவாவின் பண்டிகைகளிலும், இஸ்ரவேல் நித்திய காலமாகச் செலுத்தவேண்டியபடி சர்வாங்கதகனபலிகளைச் செலுத்துகிறதற்கும், அவருடைய நாமத்திற்கு ஒரு ஆலயத்தைக் கட்டி அதை அவருக்குப் பிரதிஷ்டை செய்ய நான் திட்டமிட்டிருக்கிறேன்.
behold, I also his son am building a house to the name of the Lord my God, to consecrate it to him, to burn incense before him, and [to offer] shewbread continually, and to offer up whole-burnt-offerings continually morning and evening, and on the sabbaths, and at the new moons, and at the feasts of the Lord our God: this [is] a perpetual [statute] for Israel.
5 ௫ எங்கள் தேவன் அனைத்து தெய்வங்களையும்விட பெரியவர்; ஆகையால் நான் கட்டப்போகிற ஆலயம் பெரியதாயிருக்கும்.
And the house which I am building [is to be] great: for the Lord our God [is] great beyond all gods.
6 ௬ வானங்களும், வானாதிவானங்களும், அவருக்குப் போதாமலிருக்கும்போது அவருக்கு ஒரு ஆலயத்தைக் கட்ட வல்லவன் யார்? அவர் சந்நிதியில் தூபங்காட்டுகிறதற்கே அல்லாமல், வேறு காரணத்திற்காக அவருக்கு ஆலயம் கட்டுகிறதற்கு நான் எம்மாத்திரம்?
And who will be able to build him a house? for the heaven and heaven of heavens do not bear his glory: and who am I, that I should build him a house, save only to burn incense before him?
7 ௭ இப்போதும் என் தகப்பனாகிய தாவீது குறித்தவர்களும், என்னிடத்தில் யூதாவிலும் எருசலேமிலும் இருக்கிறவர்களுமாகிய நிபுணர்களோடு, பொன்னிலும், வெள்ளியிலும், வெண்கலத்திலும், இரும்பிலும், இரத்தாம்பர நூலிலும், சிவப்பு நூலிலும், இளநீல நூலிலும் வேலைசெய்வதில் நிபுணனும், கொத்துவேலை செய்யத்தெரிந்த ஒரு மனிதனை என்னிடத்திற்கு அனுப்பும்.
And now send me a man wise and skilled to work in gold, and in silver, and in brass, and in iron, and in purple, and in scarlet, and in blue, and one that knows how to grave together with the craftsmen who are with me in Juda and in Jerusalem, which materials my father David prepared.
8 ௮ லீபனோனிலிருந்து கேதுரு மரங்களையும், தேவதாரு மரங்களையும், வாசனை மரங்களையும் எனக்கு அனுப்பும்; லீபனோனின் மரங்களை வெட்ட உம்முடைய வேலைக்காரர்கள் பழகினவர்களென்று எனக்குத் தெரியும்; எனக்கு மரங்களைத் திரளாக ஆயத்தப்படுத்த என் வேலைக்காரர்கள் உம்முடைய வேலைக்காரர்களோடு இருப்பார்கள்.
And send me from Libanus cedar wood, and wood of juniper, and pine; for I know that thy servants are skilled in cutting timber in Libanus: and, behold, thy servants shall go with my servants,
to prepare timber for me in abundance: for the house which I am building [must be] great and glorious.
10 ௧0 அந்த மரங்களை வெட்டுகிற உம்முடைய வேலைக்காரர்களுக்கு இருபதாயிரம் மரக்கால் கோதுமை அரிசியையும், இருபதாயிரம் மரக்கால் வாற்கோதுமையையும், இருபதாயிரம் குடம் திராட்சைரசத்தையும், இருபதாயிரம் குடம் எண்ணெயையும் கொடுப்பேன் என்று சொல்லி அனுப்பினான்.
And, behold, I have given freely to thy servants that work and cut the wood, corn for food, [even] twenty thousand measures of wheat, and twenty thousand measures of barley, and twenty thousand measures of wine, and twenty thousand measures of oil.
11 ௧௧ அப்பொழுது தீருவின் ராஜாவாகிய ஈராம் சாலொமோனுக்கு மறுமொழியாக: யெகோவா தம்முடைய மக்களை சிநேகித்ததால், உம்மை அவர்கள்மேல் ராஜாவாக வைத்தார்.
And Chiram king of Tyre answered in writing, and sent to Solomon, saying, Because the Lord loved his people, he made thee king over them.
12 ௧௨ யெகோவாவுக்கு ஒரு ஆலயத்தையும், தமது அரசாட்சிக்கு ஒரு அரண்மனையையும் கட்டத்தக்க கூரிய அறிவும், புத்தியுமுடைய ஞானமுள்ள மகனை, தாவீது ராஜாவுக்குக் கொடுத்தவராகிய வானத்தையும் பூமியையும் உண்டாக்கின இஸ்ரவேலின் தேவனாகிய யெகோவாவுக்கு ஸ்தோத்திரமுண்டாவதாக.
And Chiram said, Blessed [be] the Lord God of Israel, who made heaven and earth, who has given to king David a wise son, and one endowed with knowledge and understanding, who shall build a house for the Lord, and a house for his kingdom.
And now I have sent thee a wise and understanding man [who belonged] to Chiram my father
14 ௧௪ அவன் தாணின் மகள்களில் ஒரு பெண்ணின் மகன்; அவனுடைய தகப்பன் தீரு தேசத்தான்; அவன் பொன்னிலும், வெள்ளியிலும், வெண்கலத்திலும், இரும்பிலும், கற்களிலும், மரங்களிலும், இரத்தாம்பர நூலிலும், இளநீல நூலிலும் மெல்லிய நூலிலும், சிவப்பு நூலிலும் வேலை செய்யவும், சகலவிதக் கொத்துவேலை செய்யவும், என்னென்ன செய்யவேண்டுமென்று அவனுக்குச் சொல்லப்படுமோ, அவைகளையெல்லாம் உம்மிடத்திலுள்ள நிபுணர்களோடும், உம்முடைய தகப்பனாகிய தாவீது என்னும் என் ஆண்டவனின் நிபுணர்களோடும் ஆலோசித்துச் செய்யவும் அறிந்தவன்.
(his mother [was] of the daughters of Dan, and his father [was] a Tyrian), skilled to work in gold, and in silver, and in brass, and in iron, and in stones and wood; and to weave with purple, and blue, and fine linen, and scarlet; and to engrave, and to understand every device, whatsoever thou shalt give him [to do] with thy craftsmen, and the craftsmen of my lord David thy father.
15 ௧௫ என் ஆண்டவன் தாம் சொன்னபடி கோதுமையையும், வாற்கோதுமையையும், எண்ணெயையும், திராட்சைரசத்தையும் தம்முடைய ஊழியக்காரர்களுக்கு அனுப்புவாராக.
And now, the wheat, and the barley, and the oil, and the wine which my lord mentioned, let him send to his servants.
16 ௧௬ நாங்கள் உமக்குத் தேவையான மரங்களையெல்லாம் லீபனோனிலே வெட்டி, அவைகளைத் தெப்பங்களாகக் கட்டி கடல் வழியாக யோப்பாவரைக்கும் கொண்டுவருவோம்; பின்பு நீர் அவைகளை எருசலேமுக்குக் கொண்டுபோகலாம் என்று எழுதி அனுப்பினான்.
And we will cut timber out of Libanus according to all thy need, and we will bring it on rafts to the sea of Joppa, and thou shalt bring it to Jerusalem.
17 ௧௭ தன் தகப்பனாகிய தாவீது இஸ்ரவேல் தேசத்திலிருந்த வேறு தேசத்தாரையெல்லாம் எண்ணித் தொகையிட்டதுபோல, சாலொமோனும் அவர்களை எண்ணினான்; அவர்கள் ஒருலட்சத்து ஐம்பத்துமூவாயிரத்து அறுநூறுபேராக இருந்தார்கள்.
And Solomon gathered all the foreigners that were in the land of Israel, after the numbering with which David his father numbered them; and there were found a hundred and fifty-three thousand six hundred.
18 ௧௮ இவர்களில் அவன் எழுபதாயிரம்பேரை சுமைசுமக்கவும், எண்பதாயிரம்பேரை மலையில் மரம்வெட்டவும், மூவாயிரத்து அறுநூறுபேரை மக்களின் வேலையை கவனிக்கும் தலைவர்களாயிருக்கவும் ஏற்படுத்தினான்.
And he made of them seventy thousand burden-bearers, and eighty thousand hewers of stone, and three thousand six hundred taskmasters over the people.
