1 இராஜாக்கள் 19
1 ௧ எலியா செய்த எல்லாவற்றையும், அவன் தீர்க்கதரிசிகள் எல்லோரையும் பட்டயத்தாலே கொன்றுபோட்ட செய்தி அனைத்தையும், ஆகாப் யேசபேலுக்கு அறிவித்தான்.
And he told Ahab to Jezebel all that he had done Elijah and all that he had killed all the prophets with the sword.
2 ௨ அப்பொழுது யேசபேல் எலியாவிடம் ஆள் அனுப்பி: அவர்களிலே ஒவ்வொருவனுடைய உயிருக்கும் செய்யப்பட்டதுபோல, நான் நாளை இந்த நேரத்தில் உன்னுடைய உயிருக்குச் செய்யாமற்போனால், தெய்வங்கள் அதற்குச் சரியாகவும் அதற்கு அதிகமாகவும் எனக்குச் செய்யக்கடவர்கள் என்று சொல்லச் சொன்னாள்.
And she sent Jezebel a messenger to Elijah saying thus may they do! [the] gods and thus may they add! if about this time tomorrow I will make life your like [the] life of one from them.
3 ௩ அவனுக்கு அது தெரிந்தபோது எழுந்து, தன்னுடைய உயிரைக் காப்பாற்ற யூதாவைச்சேர்ந்த பெயெர்செபாவுக்குப் புறப்பட்டுப்போய், தன்னுடைய வேலைக்காரனை அங்கே நிறுத்திவிட்டான்.
And he saw and he arose and he went to life his and he came Beer Sheba which [belongs] to Judah and he left servant his there.
4 ௪ அவன் வனாந்திரத்தில் ஒருநாள் பயணம் போய், ஒரு சூரைச்செடியின் கீழ் உட்கார்ந்து, தான் சாகவேண்டும் என்று சொல்லி: போதும் யெகோவாவே, என்னுடைய ஆத்துமாவை எடுத்துக்கொள்ளும்; நான் என்னுடைய முன்னோர்களைவிட நல்லவன் இல்லை என்று சொல்லி,
And he he went in the wilderness a journey of a day and he came and he sat under a broom plant (one *Qk) and he asked self his to die and he said - enough now O Yahweh take life my for not [am] good I more than ancestors my.
5 ௫ ஒரு சூரைச்செடியின்கீழேப் படுத்துத் தூங்கினான்; அப்பொழுது ஒரு தூதன் அவனைத் தட்டி எழுப்பி: எழுந்து சாப்பிடு என்றான்.
And he lay down and he slept under a broom plant one and there! this an angel [was] touching him and he said to him arise eat.
6 ௬ அவன் விழித்துப் பார்த்தபோது, இதோ, நெருப்பில் சுடப்பட்ட அப்பமும், ஒரு பாத்திரத்தில் தண்ணீரும் அவனுடைய தலைமாட்டில் இருந்தது; அப்பொழுது அவன், சாப்பிட்டுக் குடித்துத் திரும்பவும் படுத்துக்கொண்டான்.
And he looked and there! [was] [the] place of head his a bread cake of hot coals and a jug of water and he ate and he drank and he returned and he lay down.
7 ௭ யெகோவாவுடைய தூதன் திரும்ப இரண்டாவதுமுறையும் வந்து அவனைத் தட்டியெழுப்பி: எழுந்து சாப்பிடு; நீ போகவேண்டிய பயணம் வெகுதூரம் என்றான்.
And he returned [the] angel of Yahweh - a second [time] and he touched him and he said arise eat for [is too] great for you the journey.
8 ௮ அப்பொழுது அவன் எழுந்து சாப்பிட்டுக் குடித்து, அந்த உணவின் பெலத்தினால் 40 நாட்கள் இரவும் பகலும் ஓரேப் என்னும் தேவனுடைய மலைவரையும் நடந்துபோனான்.
And he arose and he ate and he drank and he went in [the] strength of - the food that forty day[s] and forty night[s] to [the] mountain of God Horeb.
9 ௯ அங்கே அவன் ஒரு குகைக்குள் போய்த் தங்கினான்; இதோ, யெகோவாவுடைய வார்த்தை அவனுக்கு உண்டாகி, அவர்: எலியாவே, இங்கே நீ என்ன செய்கிறாய் என்றார்.
And he went there into the cave and he spent [the] night there and there! [the] word of Yahweh [was] to him and he said to him what? [is] to you here O Elijah.
10 ௧0 அதற்கு அவன்: சேனைகளின் தேவனாகிய யெகோவாக்காக மிகவும் பக்திவைராக்கியமாக இருந்தேன்; இஸ்ரவேல் மக்கள் உமது உடன்படிக்கையைத் தள்ளிவிட்டார்கள்; உம்முடைய பலிபீடங்களை இடித்து, உம்முடைய தீர்க்கதரிசிகளைப் பட்டயத்தினால் கொன்றுபோட்டார்கள்; நான் ஒருவன் மட்டும் மீதியாக இருக்கிறேன்; என்னுடைய உயிரையும் எடுக்கத் தேடுகிறார்கள் என்றான்.
And he said certainly I have been zealous for Yahweh - [the] God of hosts for they have forsaken covenant your [the] people of Israel altars your they have torn down and prophets your they have killed with the sword and I am left I to alone me and they have sought life my to take away it.
11 ௧௧ அப்பொழுது அவர்: நீ வெளியே வந்து யெகோவாவுக்கு முன்பாக மலையின்மேல் நில் என்றார்; அப்பொழுது, இதோ, யெகோவா கடந்துபோனார்; யெகோவாவுக்கு முன்பாகப் மலைகளைப் பிளக்கிறதும் பாறைகளை உடைக்கிறதுமான பலத்த பெருங்காற்று உண்டானது; ஆனாலும் அந்தக் காற்றிலே யெகோவா இருக்கவில்லை; காற்றுக்குப்பின்பு பூமி அதிர்ச்சி உண்டானது; பூமி அதிர்ச்சியிலும் யெகோவா இருக்கவில்லை.
And he said go out and you will stand on the mountain before Yahweh and there! Yahweh [was] passing by and a wind great and strong [was] tearing mountains and breaking rocks before Yahweh not [was] in the wind Yahweh and [was] after the wind an earthquake not [was] in the earthquake Yahweh.
12 ௧௨ பூமி அதிர்ச்சிக்குப் பின்பு அக்கினி உண்டானது; அக்கினியிலும் யெகோவா இருக்கவில்லை; அக்கினிக்குப்பின்பு அமைதியான மெல்லிய சத்தம் உண்டானது.
And [was] after the earthquake a fire not [was] in the fire Yahweh and [was] after the fire a sound of a whisper soft.
13 ௧௩ அதை எலியா கேட்டபோது, தன்னுடைய சால்வையால் தன்னுடைய முகத்தை மூடிக்கொண்டு வெளியே வந்து, குகையின் வாசலில் நின்றான். அப்பொழுது, இதோ, எலியாவே, இங்கே நீ என்ன செய்கிறாய் என்கிற சத்தம் அவனுக்கு உண்டானது.
And it was - when heard Elijah and he wrapped face his in cloak his and he went out and he stood [the] entrance of the cave and there! [was] to him a voice and it said what? [is] to you here O Elijah.
14 ௧௪ அதற்கு அவன்: சேனைகளின் தேவனாகிய யெகோவாவுக்காக மிகவும் பக்திவைராக்கியமாக இருந்தேன்; இஸ்ரவேல் மக்கள் உமது உடன்படிக்கையைத் தள்ளிவிட்டார்கள்; உம்முடைய பலிபீடங்களை இடித்து, உம்முடைய தீர்க்கதரிசிகளைப் பட்டயத்தால் கொன்றுபோட்டார்கள், நான் ஒருவன் மட்டும் மீதியாக இருக்கிறேன்; என்னுடைய உயிரையும் எடுக்கத் தேடுகிறார்கள் என்றான்.
And he said certainly I have been zealous for Yahweh - [the] God of hosts for they have forsaken covenant your [the] people of Israel altars your they have torn down and prophets your they have killed with the sword and I am left I to alone me and they have sought life my to take away it.
15 ௧௫ அப்பொழுது யெகோவா அவனைப் பார்த்து: நீ தமஸ்குவின் வழியாக வனாந்திரத்திற்குத் திரும்பிப்போய், ஆசகேலைச் சீரியாவின்மேல் ராஜாவாக அபிஷேகம்செய்து,
And he said Yahweh to him go go back to way your [the] wilderness of towards Damascus and you will go and you will anoint Hazael to king over Aram.
16 ௧௬ பின்பு நிம்சியின் மகனாகிய யெகூவை இஸ்ரவேலின்மேல் ராஜாவாக அபிஷேகம்செய்து, ஆபேல் மெகொலா ஊரானான சாப்பாத்தின் மகனாகிய எலிசாவை உன்னுடைய இடத்திலே தீர்க்கதரிசியாக அபிஷேகம்செய்.
And Jehu [the] son of Nimshi you will anoint to king over Israel and Elisha [the] son of Shaphat from Abel Meholah you will anoint to prophet in place of you.
17 ௧௭ சம்பவிப்பதாவது: ஆசகேலின் பட்டயத்திற்குத் தப்பினவனை யெகூ கொன்றுபோடுவான்; யெகூவின் பட்டயத்திற்குத் தப்பினவனை எலிசா கொன்றுபோடுவான்.
And it will be the [one who] escapes from [the] sword of Hazael he will put to death Jehu and the [one who] escapes from [the] sword of Jehu he will put to death Elisha.
18 ௧௮ ஆனாலும் பாகாலுக்கு முடங்காதிருக்கிற முழங்கால்களையும், அவனை முத்தம்செய்யாமலிருக்கிற வாய்களையும் உடைய ஏழாயிரம்பேரை இஸ்ரவேலிலே மீதியாக வைத்திருக்கிறேன் என்றார்.
And I will leave among Israel seven thousand all the knees which not they have bowed down to Baal and every mouth which not it has kissed it.
19 ௧௯ அப்படியே அவன் அந்த இடத்தைவிட்டுப் புறப்பட்டுப்போய், பன்னிரண்டு ஏர்களைப்பூட்டி உழுத சாப்பாத்தின் மகனாகிய எலிசாவைக் கண்டான்; அவன் 12 ஆம் ஏரை ஓட்டிக்கொண்டிருந்தான்; எலியா அவன் இருக்கும் இடம்வரை போய், அவன்மேல் தன்னுடைய சால்வையைப் போட்டான்.
And he went from there and he found Elisha [the] son of Shaphat and he [was] plowing two plus ten pairs [were] before him and he [was] with two plus the ten and he passed on Elijah to him and he threw cloak his to him.
20 ௨0 அப்பொழுது அவன் மாடுகளைவிட்டு, எலியாவின் பின்னே ஓடி: நான் என்னுடைய தகப்பனையும் என்னுடைய தாயையும் முத்தம்செய்ய உத்திரவு கொடும், அதற்குப்பின்பு உம்மைப் பின்தொடர்வேன் என்றான். அதற்கு அவன்: போய்த் திரும்பிவா; நான் உனக்குச் செய்ததை நினைத்துக்கொள் என்றான்.
And he left the ox[en] and he ran after Elijah and he said I want to kiss please father my and mother my and I will go after you and he said to him go turn back for what? have I done to you.
21 ௨௧ அப்பொழுது அவன் இவனை விட்டுப் போய், ஒரு ஏர் மாடுகளைப் பிடித்து அடித்து, ஏரின் மரங்களால் அவைகளின் இறைச்சியைச் சமைத்து மக்களுக்குக் கொடுத்தான்; அவர்கள் சாப்பிட்டபிறகு, அவன் எழுந்து, எலியாவுக்குப் பின்னேசென்று அவனுக்கு பணிவிடைசெய்தான்.
And he turned back from after him and he took [the] pair of the ox[en] and he sacrificed it and with [the] equipment of the ox[en] he cooked them the flesh and he gave [it] to the people and they ate and he arose and he went after Elijah and he served him.
