These were the men who came to David to Ziklag, while he was still banished from the presence of Saul son of Kish. They were among the soldiers, his helpers in battle.
2 ௨ யுத்தத்திற்கு ஒத்தாசை செய்த வில்வீரர்களும், கவண்கல் எறிவதற்கும் வில்லினால் அம்பு எய்வதற்கும் வலது இடது கை பழக்கமான பலசாலிகளான மற்ற மனிதர்களுமாவன: சவுலின் சகோதரர்களாகிய பென்யமீன் கோத்திரத்தில்,
They were armed with bows and could use both the right hand and the left in slinging stones and in shooting arrows from the bow. They were Benjamites, Saul's fellow tribesmen.
3 ௩ கிபேயா ஊரைச்சேர்ந்த சேமாவின் மகன்கள் அகியேசர் என்னும் தலைவனும், யோவாசும், அஸ்மாவேத்தின் மகன்களாகிய எசியேலும், பேலேத்தும், பெராக்கா, ஆனதோத்தியனான ஏகூ என்பவர்களும்,
The chief was Ahiezer, then Joash, both sons of Shemaah the Gibeathite. There were Jeziel and Pelet, sons of Azmaveth. There were also Berakah, Jehu the Anathothite,
4 ௪ முப்பதுபேர்களில் பலசாலியும் முப்பதுபேர்களுக்குப் பெரியவனுமான இஸ்மாயா என்னும் கிபியோனியனும், எரேமியா, யகாசியேல், யோகனான், கெதேரைச்சேர்ந்த யோசபாத்,
Ishmaiah the Gibeonite, a soldier among the thirty (and in command of the thirty); Jeremiah, Jahaziel, Johanan, Jozabad the Gederathite,
Eluzai, Jerimoth, Bealiah, Shemariah, Shephatiah the Haruphite,
the Korahites Elkanah, Isshiah, Azarel, Joezer, Jashobeam, and
Joelah and Zebadiah, sons of Jeroham of Gedor.
8 ௮ காத்தியர்களில் கேடகமும் ஈட்டியும் பிடித்து, சிங்கமுகம் போன்ற முகமும், மலைகளில் இருக்கிற வெளிமான் வேகம் போன்ற வேகமும் உள்ளவர்களாக இருந்து, யுத்தவீரர்களான பலசாலிகள் சிலரும் வனாந்திரத்திலுள்ள பாதுகாப்பான இடத்தில் இருக்கிற தாவீதுக்கு ஆதரவாக சேர்ந்தார்கள்.
Some Gadites joined David at the stronghold in the wilderness. They were fighting men, men trained for battle, who could handle shield and spear; whose faces were as fierce as the faces of lions. They were as swift as gazelles on the mountains.
There were Ezer the leader, Obadiah the second, Eliab the third,
Mishmannah the fourth, Jeremiah the fifth,
Attai the sixth, Eliel the seventh,
Johanan the eighth, Elzabad the ninth,
Jeremiah the tenth, Makbannai the eleventh.
14 ௧௪ காத் மகன்களான இவர்கள் இராணுவத்தலைவர்களாக இருந்தார்கள்; அவர்களில் சிறியவன் நூறுபேர்களுக்கும் பெரியவன் ஆயிரம்பேர்களுக்கும் தலைவர்களாக இருந்தார்கள்.
These sons of Gad were leaders of the army. The least led a hundred, and the greatest led a thousand.
15 ௧௫ யோர்தான் கரைபுரண்டு போயிருக்கிற முதலாம் மாதத்தில் அதைக் கடந்து, கிழக்கேயும் மேற்கேயும் பள்ளத்தாக்குகளில் இருக்கிற அனைவரையும் துரத்திவிட்டவர்கள் இவர்களே.
They crossed the Jordan in the first month, when it overflowed its banks, and chased away all those living in the valleys, both toward the east and toward the west.
16 ௧௬ பின்னும் பென்யமீன் மனிதர்களிலும் யூதா மனிதர்களிலும் சிலர் பாதுகாப்பான இடத்தில் இருக்கிற தாவீதிடம் வந்தார்கள்.
Some of the men of Benjamin and Judah came to the stronghold to David.
17 ௧௭ தாவீது புறப்பட்டு, அவர்களுக்கு எதிர்கொண்டுபோய், அவர்களை சந்தித்து: நீங்கள் எனக்கு உதவி செய்ய சமாதானமாக என்னிடம் வந்தீர்களானால், என்னுடைய இருதயம் உங்களோடு இணைந்திருக்கும்; என்னுடைய கைகளில் கொடுமை இல்லாமலிருக்க, என்னை என்னுடைய எதிரிகளுக்குக் காட்டிக்கொடுக்க வந்தீர்களென்றால், நம்முடைய முற்பிதாக்களின் தேவன் அதைப் பார்த்துக் கண்டிப்பாராக என்றான்.
David went out to meet them and addressed them: “If you have come in peace to me to help me, you may join me. But if you have come to betray me to my adversaries, may the God of our ancestors see and rebuke you, since I have done no wrong.”
18 ௧௮ அப்பொழுது அதிபதிகளுக்குத் தலைவனான அமாசாயின்மேல் ஆவி இறங்கியதால், அவன்: “தாவீதே, நாங்கள் உம்முடையவர்கள்; ஈசாயின் மகனே, உமக்கு ஆதரவாக இருப்போம்; உமக்குச் சமாதானம், சமாதானம்; உமக்கு உதவி செய்கிறவர்களுக்கும் சமாதானம்; உம்முடைய தேவன் உமக்குத் துணை நிற்கிறார்” என்றான்; அப்பொழுது தாவீது அவர்களைச் சேர்த்துக்கொண்டு, அவர்களை படைகளுக்குத் தலைவர்களாக்கினான்.
Then the Spirit came on Amasai, who was chief of the thirty. Amasai said, “We are yours, David. We are on your side, son of Jesse. Peace, may peace be to whoever helps you. May peace be to your helpers, for your God is helping you.” Then David received them and made them commanders over his men.
19 ௧௯ சவுலின்மேல் யுத்தம்செய்யப்போகிற பெலிஸ்தர்களுடனே தாவீது வருகிறபோது, மனாசேயிலும் சிலர் அவனுக்கு ஆதரவாகச் சேர்ந்தார்கள்; பெலிஸ்தர்களின் பிரபுக்கள் யோசனைசெய்து, அவன் நம்முடைய தலைகளுக்கு மோசமாகத் தன்னுடைய ஆண்டவனாகிய சவுலிற்கு ஆதரவாகப் போவான் என்று அவனை அனுப்பிவிட்டார்கள்; அதனால் அவர்கள் இவர்களுக்கு உதவி செய்யவில்லை.
Some from Manasseh also deserted to David when he came with the Philistines against Saul to battle. Yet they did not help the Philistines, because the Philistine lords consulted with each other and sent David away. They said, “He will desert to his master Saul at the risk of our lives.”
20 ௨0 அப்படியே அவன் சிக்லாகுக்குத் திரும்பிப்போகும்போது, மனாசேயில் அதனாக், யோசபாத், யெதியாயேல், மிகாயேல், யோசபாத், எலிகூ, சில்த்தாயி என்னும் மனாசே கோத்திரத்தார்களின் ஆயிரம்பேர்களுக்கு தலைவர்கள் அவனுக்கு ஆதரவாக வந்தார்கள்.
When he went to Ziklag, the men of Manasseh who joined him were Adnah, Jozabad, Jediael, Michael, Jozabad, Elihu, and Zillethai, captains over thousands of Manasseh.
21 ௨௧ அந்த படைகளுக்கு விரோதமாக இவர்கள் தாவீதுக்கு உதவி செய்தார்கள்; இவர்களெல்லோரும் பலசாலிகளும் இராணுவத்தில் தலைவர்களுமாக இருந்தார்கள்.
They helped David fight against the roving bands, for they were fighting men. Later they became commanders in the army.
22 ௨௨ அக்காலத்திலே நாளுக்குநாள் தாவீதுக்கு உதவிசெய்யும் மனிதர்கள் அவனிடம் வந்து சேர்ந்ததால், அவர்கள் தேவசேனையைப்போல பெரிய சேனையானார்கள்.
Day after day, men came to David to help him, until there was a great army, like the army of God.
23 ௨௩ யெகோவாவுடைய வார்த்தையின்படியே, சவுலின் ராஜ்ஜியபாரத்தைத் தாவீதிடம் திருப்ப, எப்ரோனில் இருக்கிற அவனிடம் வந்த போர்வீரர்களான தலைவர்களின் எண்ணிக்கை:
This is the record of the armed soldiers for war, who came to David to Hebron, to turn the kingdom of Saul over to him, which carried out Yahweh's word.
24 ௨௪ யூதா கோத்திரத்தில் கேடகமும் ஈட்டியும் பிடித்து, யுத்த போர்வீரர்களானவர்கள் ஆறாயிரத்து எண்ணூறுபேர்.
From Judah those who carried shield and spear were 6,800, armed for war.
From the Simeonites there were 7,100 fighting men.
From the Levites there were 4,600 fighting men.
Jehoiada was the leader of Aaron's descendants, and with him were 3,700.
With Zadok, a young, strong, and courageous man, were twenty-two leaders from his father's family.
29 ௨௯ பென்யமீன் கோத்திரத்தார்களான சவுலின் சகோதரர்களில் மூவாயிரம்பேர்; அதுவரைக்கும் அவர்களில் மிச்சமானவர்கள் சவுலின் குடும்பத்தைக் காப்பாற்றப்பார்த்தார்கள்.
From Benjamin, Saul's tribe, were three thousand. Most of them had remained loyal to Saul until this time.
30 ௩0 எப்பிராயீம் கோத்திரத்தில் தங்களுடைய பிதாக்களின் வம்சத்தில் பெயர் பெற்ற மனிதர்களான பலசாலிகள் இருபதாயிரத்து எண்ணூறுபேர்.
From the Ephraimites there were 20,800 fighting men, men who were famous in their fathers' houses.
31 ௩௧ மனாசேயின் பாதிக்கோத்திரத்தில் தாவீதை ராஜாவாக்க வரும்படி, பெயர்பெயராகக் குறிக்கப்பட்டவர்கள் பதினெட்டாயிரம்பேர்.
From the half tribe of Manasseh there were eighteen thousand famous men who came to make David king.
32 ௩௨ இசக்கார் கோத்திரத்தில், இஸ்ரவேலர்கள் செய்யவேண்டியது இன்னதென்று அறிந்து காலாகாலங்களுக்குத் தகுந்த யோசனை சொல்லத்தக்க தலைவர்கள் இருநூறுபேரும், இவர்கள் வாக்குக்குச் செவிகொடுத்த இவர்களுடைய எல்லா சகோதரர்களுமே.
From Issachar, there were two hundred leaders who had understanding of the times and knew what Israel ought to do. All their relatives were under their command.
33 ௩௩ செபுலோன் கோத்திரத்தில் சகலவித யுத்த ஆயுதங்களாலும் யுத்தம் செய்வதற்கும், தங்களுடைய அணியைக் காத்து நிற்பதற்கும் பழகி, வஞ்சனை செய்யாமல் யுத்தத்திற்குப் போகத்தக்கவர்கள் ஐம்பதாயிரம்பேர்.
From Zebulun there were fifty thousand fighting men, prepared for battle, with all the weapons of war, and ready to give undivided loyalty.
34 ௩௪ நப்தலி கோத்திரத்தில் ஆயிரம் தலைவர்கள் கேடகமும் ஈட்டியும் பிடித்த அவர்களோடு இருந்தவர்கள் முப்பத்தேழாயிரம்பேர்.
From Naphtali there were one thousand officers, and with them thirty-seven thousand men with shields and spears.
From the Danites there were 28,600 men prepared for battle.
From Asher there were forty thousand men prepared for battle.
37 ௩௭ யோர்தானுக்கு அக்கரையான ரூபனியர்களிலும், காத்தியர்களிலும், மனாசேயின் பாதிக்கோத்திரத்தார்களிலும், யுத்தம்செய்ய எல்லாவித ஆயுதங்களையும் அணிந்தவர்கள் நூற்றிருபதாயிரம்பேர்.
From the other side of the Jordan, from the Reubenites, Gadites, and the half tribe of Manasseh, there were 120,000 men armed with all kinds of weapons for battle.
38 ௩௮ தாவீதை இஸ்ரவேலின்மேல் ராஜாவாக்க, இந்த யுத்தமனிதர்கள் எல்லோரும் அணி அணியாய் வைக்கப்பட்டவர்களாக, உத்தம இதயத்தோடு எப்ரோனுக்கு வந்தார்கள்; இஸ்ரவேலில் மற்ற அனைவரும் தாவீதை ராஜாவாக்க ஒருமனப்பட்டிருந்தார்கள்.
All these soldiers, equipped for battle, came to Hebron with firm intentions to make David king over all Israel. All the rest of Israel were in agreement to make David king also.
39 ௩௯ அவர்கள் அங்கே தாவீதோடு மூன்று நாட்கள் இருந்து, சாப்பிட்டுக் குடித்தார்கள்; அவர்கள் சகோதரர்கள் அவர்களுக்காக எல்லாவற்றையும் ஆயத்தம்செய்திருந்தார்கள்.
They were there with David three days, eating and drinking, for their relatives had sent them with provisions.
40 ௪0 இசக்கார், செபுலோன், நப்தலியின் எல்லைவரை அவர்களுக்கு அருகில் இருந்தவர்களும், கழுதைகள்மேலும், ஒட்டகங்கள்மேலும், கோவேறு கழுதைகள்மேலும், மாடுகள்மேலும், தின்பண்டங்களாகிய மா, அத்திப்பழ அடைகள், உலர்ந்த திராட்சைப்பழங்கள், திராட்சைரசம், எண்ணெய், ஆடுமாடுகள் ஆகிய இவைகளைத் தேவையான அளவு ஏற்றிக்கொண்டு வந்தார்கள்; இஸ்ரவேலிலே மகிழ்ச்சியுண்டானது.
In addition, those who were near to them, as far as Issachar and Zebulun and Naphtali, brought bread on donkeys, camels, mules, and oxen, and cakes of figs, clusters of raisins, wine, oil, oxen, and sheep, for Israel was celebrating.
