சங்கீதம் 114

1 இஸ்ரயேலர் எகிப்திலிருந்து வந்தபோது, யாக்கோபின் குடும்பத்தார் வேறுநாட்டைச் சேர்ந்த மக்களிடமிருந்து வெளியே வந்தபோது,

When Israel went out of Egypt, the house of Jacob from a people of foreign language,

2 யூதா, இறைவனின் பரிசுத்த இடமாயிற்று; இஸ்ரயேல் அவருடைய அரசாட்சி ஆயிற்று.

Judah became his sanctuary, Israel his dominion.

3 கடல் அவர்களைக் கண்டு ஓடி ஒதுங்கியது; யோர்தான் நதி அதின் வழியை மாற்றியது.

The sea saw it, and fled. The Jordan was driven back.

4 மலைகள் செம்மறியாட்டுக் கடாக்களைப்போலவும், குன்றுகள் ஆட்டுக்குட்டிகள்போலவும் துள்ளின.

The mountains skipped like rams, the little hills like lambs.

5 கடலே, நீ விலகி ஒதுங்கியது ஏன்? யோர்தான் நதியே, நீ ஓடாமல் நின்றது ஏன்?

What was it, you sea, that you fled? You Jordan, that you turned back?

6 மலைகளே, நீங்கள் செம்மறியாட்டுக் கடாக்களைப்போலவும், குன்றுகளே, நீங்கள் செம்மறியாட்டுக் குட்டிகளைப் போலவும் துள்ளியது ஏன்?

You mountains, that you skipped like rams? You little hills, like lambs?

7 பூமியே, யெகோவாவின் சமுகத்தில் நடுங்கு, யாக்கோபின் இறைவனின் சமுகத்தில் நடுங்கு.

Tremble, you earth, at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the God of Jacob,

8 அவர் கற்பாறையைக் குளமாகவும், கடினமான கற்பாறையை நீரூற்றுகளாகவும் மாற்றினாரே.

who turned the rock into a pool of water, the flint into a spring of waters.
