எண்ணாகமம் 32
1 ரூபனியருக்கும், காத்தியருக்கும் திரளான மாட்டு மந்தைகளும், ஆட்டு மந்தைகளும் இருந்தன. யாசேர் நாடும், கீலேயாத் நாடும் தங்கள் வளர்ப்பு மிருகங்களுக்குப் பொருத்தமானது என அவர்கள் கண்டார்கள்.
Nowe the children of Reuben, and the children of Gad had an exceeding great multitude of cattell: and they sawe the lande of Iazer, and the lande of Gilead, that it was an apt place for cattel.
2 எனவே அவர்கள் மோசேயிடமும், ஆசாரியன் எலெயாசாரிடமும், மக்கள் சமுதாயத் தலைவர்களிடமும் வந்து,
Then the children of Gad, and the childre of Reuben came, and spake vnto Moses and to Eleazar the Priest, and vnto the princes of the Congregation, saying,
3 “அதரோத், தீபோன், யாசேர், நிம்ரா, எஸ்போன், எலெயாலே, சேபாம், நேபோ, பெயோன்
The land of Ataroth, and Dibon, and Iazer, and Nimrah, and Heshbon, and Elealeh, and Shebam, and Nebo, and Beon,
4 ஆகிய நாடுகளை யெகோவா இஸ்ரயேல் மக்களுக்கு முன்பாகக் கீழ்ப்படுத்தினார். அந்த நாடுகள் வளர்ப்பு மிருகங்களுக்குப் பொருத்தமானவை. உங்கள் அடியாரான எங்களிடம் வளர்ப்பு மிருகங்கள் இருக்கின்றன.
Which countrey the Lord smote before the Congregation of Israel, is a lande meete for cattell, and thy seruants haue cattell:
5 உங்கள் பார்வையில் எங்களுக்குத் தயவு கிடைத்திருந்தால், உமது அடியாரான எங்களுக்கு உரிமைச்சொத்தாக இந்த நாடே கொடுக்கப்படட்டும். எங்களை யோர்தானைக் கடக்கச்செய்யவேண்டாம்” என்றார்கள்.
Wherefore, said they, if we haue foud grace in thy sight, let this lande be giuen vnto thy seruants for a possession, and bring vs not ouer Iorde.
6 மோசே காத்தியரிடமும், ரூபனியரிடமும், “நீங்கள் இங்கே இருக்க உங்கள் சகோதரர்கள் யுத்தத்திற்குப் போவார்களோ?
And Moses said vnto the children of Gad, and to the children of Reuben, Shall your brethren goe to warre, and ye tary heere?
7 யெகோவா இஸ்ரயேலருக்குக் கொடுத்திருக்கும் நாட்டிற்கு அவர்களைப் போகவிடாமல் நீங்கள் ஏன் அவர்களை திடனற்றுப்போகச்செய்கிறீர்கள்?
Wherefore now discourage ye the heart of the children of Israel, to goe ouer into the lande, which the Lord hath giuen them?
8 நான் காதேஸ் பர்னேயாவிலிருந்து உங்கள் முற்பிதாக்களை அந்த நாட்டைப் பார்த்துவரும்படி அனுப்பியபோது, அவர்களும் இப்படியே செய்தார்கள்.
Thus did your fathers when I sent them from Kadesh-barnea to see the lande.
9 அவர்கள் எஸ்கோல் பள்ளத்தாக்கிற்குப் போய் நாட்டைப் பார்த்த பின்னர் யெகோவா இஸ்ரயேலருக்குக் கொடுத்த அந்த நாட்டிற்குள் அவர்களைப் போகவிடாமல் திடனற்றுப்போகச்செய்தார்கள்.
For when they went vp euen vnto the riuer of Eshcol, and sawe the land: they discouraged the heart of the childre of Israel, that they woulde not goe into the lande, which the Lord had giuen them.
10 அதனால் அந்நாளில் யெகோவாவுக்குக் கோபம்மூண்டு, அவர் ஆணையிட்டுச் சொன்னதாவது,
And the Lordes wrath was kindled the same day, and he did sweare, saying,
11 ‘அவர்கள் என்னை முழு இருதயத்தோடு பின்பற்றவில்லை. ஆகையால், நான் ஆபிரகாம், ஈசாக்கு, யாக்கோபு ஆகியோருக்கு ஆணையிட்டுக்கொடுத்த அந்நாட்டை எகிப்திலிருந்து வெளியேவந்த இருபது வயதையும் அதற்கு மேற்பட்ட வயதையுமுடைய மனிதர்களில் ஒருவருமே காணமாட்டார்கள்.
None of the men that came out of Egypt from twentie yeere olde and aboue, shall see the land for the which I sware vnto Abraham, to Izhak, and to Iaakob, because they haue not wholly followed me:
12 கேனாசியனான எப்புன்னேயின் மகன் காலேபையும், நூனின் மகன் யோசுவாவையும் தவிர வேறெவரும் அதைக் காண்பதில்லை. ஏனெனில் அவர்கள் இருவரும் யெகோவாவை முழு இருதயத்தோடும் பின்பற்றினார்கள்’ என்றார்.
Except Caleb the sonne of Iephunneh the Kenesite, and Ioshua the sonne of Nun: for they haue constantly followed the Lord.
13 எனவே இஸ்ரயேலுக்கு விரோதமாக யெகோவாவின் கோபம் பற்றியெரிந்தது. யெகோவாவினுடைய பார்வையில் தீங்குசெய்த அந்த முழுதலைமுறையினரும் ஒழிந்துபோகும்வரை அவர் நாற்பது வருடங்களாக இஸ்ரயேலரை வனாந்திரத்திலே அலையச்செய்தார்.
And the Lord was very angry with Israel, and made them wander in the wildernesse fourty yeeres, vntill all the generation that had done euill in the sight of the Lord were consumed.
14 “பாவிகளின் கூட்டத்தாரே! இப்பொழுது நீங்கள் உங்கள் தந்தையரின் இடத்திலேயே நின்று, யெகோவா இன்னும் அதிகமாய் இஸ்ரயேலின்மேல் கோபங்கொள்ளும்படி செய்கிறீர்கள்.
And behold, ye are risen vp in your fathers steade as an encrease of sinfull men, still to augment the fierce wrath of the Lord, toward Israel.
15 நீங்கள் அவரைப் பின்பற்றுவதிலிருந்து விலகிப்போனால், அவர் திரும்பவும் இம்மக்களையெல்லாம் இந்தப் பாலைவனத்திலேயே விட்டுவிடுவார். இம்மக்களுடைய அழிவுக்கு நீங்களே காரணமாயிருப்பீர்கள்” என்றான்.
For if ye turne away from following him, he will yet againe leaue the people in the wildernesse, and ye shall destroy all this folke.
16 அப்பொழுது அவர்கள் அவனிடம் வந்து, “நாங்கள் இங்கே எங்கள் வளர்ப்பு மிருகங்களுக்குத் தொழுவங்களை அமைத்து, எங்கள் பெண்களுக்கும், பிள்ளைகளுக்கும் பட்டணங்களையும் கட்ட விரும்புகிறோம்.
And they went neere to him, and said, We will builde sheepe foldes here for our sheepe, and for our cattell, and cities for our children.
17 ஆனால் எங்கள் மக்களான இஸ்ரயேலரை அவர்களுடைய நாட்டிற்குக் கொண்டுசெல்லும் வரையும், நாங்கள் ஆயுதம் தாங்கி அவர்களுக்கு முன்னே போக ஆயத்தமாயிருக்கிறோம். அதேநேரம் எங்கள் பெண்களும், பிள்ளைகளும் அரணான பட்டணங்களில் வாழட்டும். அப்பொழுது இந்நாட்டு குடிகளிடமிருந்து அவர்கள் பாதுகாப்பாயிருப்பார்கள்.
But we our selues will be readie armed to go before the children of Israel, vntill we haue brought them vnto their place: but our childre shall dwell in the defenced cities, because of the inhabitants of the lande.
18 இஸ்ரயேலன் ஒவ்வொருவனும் தன்தன் உரிமைச்சொத்தைப் பெறும்வரை, நாங்கள் எங்கள் வீடுகளுக்குத் திரும்பமாட்டோம்.
We will not returne vnto our houses, vntil the children of Israel haue inherited, euery man his inheritance.
19 யோர்தானின் கிழக்குப் பக்கத்தில் எங்களுக்குச் சொத்துரிமை கிடைத்திருப்பதனால், நாங்கள் யோர்தானின் மறுபக்கத்தில் உரிமைச்சொத்து எதையும் பெற்றுக்கொள்ளவும்மாட்டோம்” என்றார்கள்.
Neither wil we inherite with them beyond Iorden and on that side, because our inheritance is fallen to vs on this side Iorden Eastwarde.
20 அதற்கு மோசே, “நீங்கள் இதைச் செய்வீர்களானால்: நீங்கள் யெகோவா முன்னிலையில் யுத்த ஆயுதம் தரித்து,
And Moses saide vnto them, If ye will doe this thing, and goe armed before the Lord to warre:
21 அவர் தமது எதிரிகளைத் தமக்கு முன்பாகத் துரத்திவிடும்வரை யெகோவாவுக்கு முன்பாக நீங்கள் ஆயுதம் தாங்கி யோர்தானைக் கடந்துபோகவேண்டும்.
And will goe euery one of you in harnesse ouer Iorden before the Lord, vntill he hath cast out his enemies from his sight:
22 அப்படிச் செய்வீர்களானால் யெகோவாவுக்கு முன்பாக நாடு கீழ்ப்படுத்தப்படும்போது, நீங்கள் திரும்பிப்போகலாம். யெகோவாவுக்கும் இஸ்ரயேலருக்கும் வாக்குக்கொடுத்த உங்கள் கடமையிலிருந்தும் நீங்கள் நீங்கலாயிருப்பீர்கள். இந்த நாடும் யெகோவா முன்னிலையில் உங்கள் உடைமையாகும்.
And vntill the land be subdued before the Lord, then ye shall returne and be innocent toward the Lord, and toward Israel: and this land shalbe your possession before the Lord.
23 “ஆனால் அவ்வாறு நீங்கள் செய்யத்தவறினால், நீங்கள் யெகோவாவுக்கு விரோதமாகப் பாவம் செய்கிறவர்களாயிருப்பீர்கள்; உங்கள் பாவமே உங்களைக் கண்டுபிடிக்கும் என்பதும் உங்களுக்கு நிச்சயமாய்த் தெரிந்திருக்கட்டும்.
But if ye will not doe so, beholde, ye haue sinned against the Lord, and be sure, that your sinne will finde you out.
24 நீங்கள் உங்கள் பெண்களுக்கும், பிள்ளைகளுக்கும் பட்டணங்களைக்கட்டுங்கள். உங்கள் மந்தைகளுக்கு தொழுவங்களையும் அமையுங்கள். ஆனால், நீங்கள் வாக்குக்கொடுத்தபடியே செய்யுங்கள்” என்றான்.
Builde you then cities for your children and folds for your sheepe, and do that ye haue spoke.
25 அப்பொழுது காத்தியரும், ரூபனியரும் மோசேயிடம், “உமது அடியாராகிய நாங்கள் எங்கள் தலைவனாகிய நீர் கட்டளையிட்டபடியே செய்வோம்.
Then the children of Gad and the children of Reuben spake vnto Moses, saying, Thy seruats will doe as my lorde commandeth:
26 எங்கள் பிள்ளைகளும், மனைவியரும், எங்கள் ஆட்டு மந்தைகளும், மாட்டு மந்தைகளும் இங்கே கீலேயாத்தின் பட்டணங்களிலேயே இருக்கட்டும்.
Our childre, our wiues, our sheepe, and al our cattell shall remaine there in the cities of Gilead,
27 உமது அடியாராகிய நாங்களோ ஒவ்வொருவரும் ஆயுதம் தாங்கி, எங்கள் தலைவனாகிய நீர் சொன்னபடியே யெகோவாவுக்கு முன்பாக யுத்தத்திற்குக் கடந்துபோவோம்” என்றார்கள்.
But thy seruants will goe euery one armed to warre before the Lord for to fight, as my lorde saith.
28 அப்பொழுது மோசே ஆசாரியன் எலெயாசாரிடமும், நூனின் மகனாகிய யோசுவாவிடமும் இஸ்ரயேல் கோத்திரக் குடும்பத் தலைவர்களிடமும், அவர்களைப்பற்றி உத்தரவிட்டான்.
So concerning them, Moses commanded Eleazar the Priest, and Ioshua the sonne of Nun, and the chiefe fathers of the tribes of the children of Israel:
29 அவன் சொன்னதாவது: “காத்தியரும், ரூபானியரும் ஆயுதந்தரித்தவர்களாக யெகோவா முன்பாக யோர்தானைக் கடந்து உங்களுடன் சேர்ந்து யுத்தத்திற்கு வந்தால், அந்நாடு உங்களுக்குக் கிடைத்தவுடன் கீலேயாத் நாட்டை அவர்களுக்கு உரிமையாகக் கொடுத்துவிடுங்கள்.
And Moses said vnto them, If the children of Gad, and the children of Reuben, will go with you ouer Iorden, all armed to fight before the Lord, then when the land is subdued before you, ye shall giue the the lad of Gilead for a possessio:
30 ஆனால் அவ்வாறு அவர்கள் ஆயுதம் தரித்து உங்களுடன் கடந்து வராவிட்டால், அவர்கள் கானானில் உங்களுடனேயே தங்கள் சொத்துரிமையை ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளவேண்டும்” என்றான்.
But if they will not goe ouer with you armed, then they shall haue their possessions amog you in the land of Canaan.
31 அதற்குக் காத்தியரும், ரூபனியரும், “உமது அடியார் யெகோவா சொல்லியிருக்கிறதையே செய்வோம்.
And the children of Gad, and the children of Reuben answered, saying, As the Lord hath said vnto thy seruants, so will we doe.
32 நாங்கள் ஆயுதம் தாங்கியவர்களாக யெகோவாவுக்கு முன்பாக யோர்தானைக் கடந்து, கானானுக்குப் போவோம். ஆனால் நாங்கள் உரிமையாக்கும் சொத்தோ, யோர்தானுக்கு இக்கரையிலேயே இருக்கும்” என்றார்கள்.
We will goe armed before the Lord into the lande of Canaan: that the possession of our inheritance may be to vs on this side Iorden.
33 எனவே மோசே, காத்தியருக்கும் ரூபனியருக்கும் யோசேப்பின் மகனாகிய மனாசேயின் அரைக்கோத்திரத்திற்கும், எமோரியரின் அரசன் சீகோனின் அரசையும், பாசானின் அரசன் ஓகின் அரசையும் கொடுத்தான். பட்டணங்களோடும், அவற்றைச் சுற்றியுள்ள பகுதிகளோடும் முழு நாட்டையும் அவர்களுக்கே கொடுத்தான்.
So Moses gaue vnto them, euen to the children of Gad, and to the children of Reuben, and to halfe the tribe of Manasseh the sonne of Ioseph, the kingdome of Sihon King of the Amorites, and the kingdome of Og King of Bashan, the lande with the cities thereof and coastes, euen the cities of the countrey round about.
34 காத்தியரோ தீபோன், அதரோத், அரோயேர் பட்டணங்களையும்
Then the children of Gad built Dibon, and Ataroth, and Aroer,
35 ஆத்ரோத், சோபான், யாசேர், யொகிபெயா,
And Atroth, Shophan, and Iazer, and Iogbehah,
36 பெத் நிம்ரா, பெத்தாரன் ஆகிய அரணான பட்டணங்களையும் கட்டினார்கள். தங்கள் மந்தைகளுக்கு தொழுவங்களையும் அமைத்தார்கள்.
And Beth-nimrah, and Beth-haran, defenced cities: also sheepe foldes.
37 ரூபனியர் எஸ்போன், எலெயாலே, கீரியாத்தாயீம் பட்டணங்களைத் திரும்பக்கட்டினார்கள்.
And the children of Reuben built Heshbon, and Elealeh, and Kiriathaim,
38 நேபோ, பாகால் மெயோன் பட்டணங்களையும் கட்டினார்கள். அவற்றின் பெயர்கள் மாற்றப்பட்டன. சிப்மா பட்டணத்தையும் கட்டினார்கள். அவர்கள் தாங்கள் திரும்பக்கட்டிய பட்டணங்களுக்கு வேறு பெயர்களை வைத்தார்கள்.
And Nebo, and Baal-meon, and turned their names, and Shibmah: and gaue other names vnto the cities which they built.
39 மனாசேயின் மகனாகிய மாகீரின் சந்ததிகள் கீலேயாத்திற்குப்போய், அதைக் கைப்பற்றி, அங்கே வாழ்ந்த எமோரியரை வெளியே துரத்திவிட்டார்கள்.
And the children of Machir the sonne of Manasseh went to Gilead, and tooke it, and put out the Amorites that dwelt therein.
40 எனவே மோசே, மனாசேயின் சந்ததியான மாகீரியருக்குக் கீலேயாத்தைக் கொடுத்தான். அவர்கள் அங்கே குடியேறினார்கள்.
Then Moses gaue Gilead vnto Machir the sonne of Manasseh, and he dwelt therein.
41 மனாசேயின் சந்ததியான யாவீர் என்பவன் கீலேயாத்தியர்களின் கிராமங்களைக் கைப்பற்றி, அவற்றிற்கு அவோத்யாவீர் எனப் பெயரிட்டான்.
And Iair the sonne of Manasseh went and tooke the small townes thereof, and called them Hauoth Iair.
42 நோபாக் என்பவன் போய், கேனாத் பட்டணத்தையும் அதைச் சுற்றியுள்ள அதன் குடியிருப்புகளையும் கைப்பற்றி, அதற்கு நோபாக் என்னும் தன் பெயரிட்டான்.
Also Nobah went and tooke Kenath, with the villages thereof and called it Nobah, after his owne name.
