எரேமியா 48

1 மோவாபைப் பற்றியது: இஸ்ரயேலின் இறைவனாகிய சேனைகளின் யெகோவா கூறுவது இதுவே: “நேபோ நாட்டுக்கு ஐயோ கேடு! அது பாழாக்கப்படும். கீரியாத்தாயீம் அவமானத்திற்கு உள்ளாக்கப்பட்டு கைப்பற்றப்படும். அதன் பலத்த அரண் அவமதிக்கப்பட்டு தகர்க்கப்படும்.

Of Moab. The LORD of Armies, the God of Israel, says: “Woe to Nebo! For it is laid waste. Kiriathaim is disappointed. It is taken. Misgab is put to shame and broken down.

2 மோவாப் இனி ஒருபோதும் புகழப்படமாட்டாது; அதனுடைய அழிவுக்காக, எஸ்போனில் உள்ள மனிதர் சதித்திட்டம் போடுவார்கள்: ‘வாருங்கள் நாம் அந்த நாட்டிற்கு ஒரு முடிவை உண்டாக்குவோம்.’ மத்மேனே பட்டணமே, நீயும் அழிக்கப்படுவாய்; வாள் உன்னைப் பின்தொடரும்.

The praise of Moab is no more. In Heshbon they have devised evil against her: ‘Come! Let’s cut her off from being a nation.’ You also, Madmen, will be brought to silence. The sword will pursue you.

3 ஒரொனாயீமிலிருந்து உண்டாகும் கதறுதலைக் கேளுங்கள். அது அழிவினாலும், பேரழிவினாலும் உண்டாகும் கதறுதல்.

The sound of a cry from Horonaim, desolation and great destruction!

Moab is destroyed. Her little ones have caused a cry to be heard.

For they will go up by the ascent of Luhith with continual weeping. For at the descent of Horonaim they have heard the distress of the cry of destruction.

6 தப்பி ஓடுங்கள்; உங்கள் உயிர் தப்ப ஓடுங்கள். வனாந்திரத்திலுள்ள புதரைப்போலாகுங்கள்.

Flee! Save your lives! Be like the juniper bush in the wilderness.

7 மோவாபே நீ உன் சொந்தத் திறமையிலும், செல்வத்திலும் நம்பிக்கை வைத்திருப்பதினால், நீயும் சிறைப்பிடிக்கப்படுவாய். உன் தெய்வமான கேமோஷ் அதன் பூசாரிகளுடனும், அலுவலர்களுடனும் நாடுகடத்தப்படும்.

For, because you have trusted in your works and in your treasures, you also will be taken. Chemosh will go out into captivity, his priests and his princes together.

8 ஒவ்வொரு பட்டணத்திற்கும் அழிக்கிறவன் வருவான். ஒரு பட்டணமும் தப்பிப்போகாது. பள்ளத்தாக்குப் பாழாக்கப்படும், சமனான பூமியும் அழிக்கப்படும். ஏனெனில் யெகோவா இதைச் சொல்லியிருக்கிறார்.

The destroyer will come on every city, and no city will escape; the valley also will perish, and the plain will be destroyed, as the LORD has spoken.

9 மோவாபின்மேல் உப்பை தூவுங்கள். அவள் முழுவதுமாக அழிக்கப்படுவாள். அதன் பட்டணங்கள் பாழாக்கப்படும். குடியிருப்பதற்கு யாருமின்றி வெறுமையாய் கைவிடப்படும்.

Give wings to Moab, that she may fly and get herself away: and her cities will become a desolation, without anyone to dwell in them.

10 “யெகோவாவின் வேலையை மனமில்லாமல் செய்கிறவன்மேல் சாபம் உண்டாகட்டும். இரத்தம் சிந்தாமல் தனது வாளை வைத்திருக்கிறவன்மேல் சாபம் உண்டாகட்டும்.

“Cursed is he who does the work of the LORD negligently; and cursed is he who keeps back his sword from blood.

11 “மோவாப் தன் வாலிப காலத்திலிருந்து ஆறுதலாய் இருக்கிறாள். ஒரு பாத்திரத்திலிருந்து மற்றொரு பாத்திரத்திற்கு ஊற்றப்படாமல், மண்டி கலக்காமல் இருக்கும் திராட்சரசத்தைப்போல் இருக்கிறாள். அவள் நாடுகடத்தப்பட்டுப் போகவில்லை. ஆகையால் அவளது சுவை அப்படியே இருந்தது. அவளுடைய வாசனையும் மாறுபடவில்லை.

“Moab has been at ease from his youth, and he has settled on his dregs, and has not been emptied from vessel to vessel, neither has he gone into captivity; therefore his taste remains in him, and his scent is not changed.

Therefore behold, the days come,” says the LORD, “that I will send to him those who pour off, and they will pour him off; and they will empty his vessels, and break their containers in pieces.

13 அப்பொழுது இஸ்ரயேல் பெத்தேலில் நம்பிக்கை வைத்து, வெட்கப்பட்டதுபோல, மோவாப் நாடும் கேமோஷ் தெய்வத்தைக் குறித்து வெட்கமடையும்.

Moab will be ashamed of Chemosh, as the house of Israel was ashamed of Bethel, their confidence.

14 “‘நாங்கள் போர்வீரர்; போரில் வலிமைமிக்க வீரர்கள்’ என்று நீங்கள் எப்படி கூறலாம்?

“How do you say, ‘We are mighty men, and valiant men for the war’?

15 மோவாப் அழிக்கப்பட்டு, அவளுடைய பட்டணங்கள் தாக்கப்படும். அங்குள்ள திறமைமிக்க வாலிபர் கொலைசெய்யப்படுவார்கள்” என்று, சேனைகளின் யெகோவா என்னும் பெயருடைய அரசர் அறிவிக்கிறார்.

Moab is laid waste, and they have gone up into his cities, and his chosen young men have gone down to the slaughter,” says the King, whose name is the LORD of Armies.

16 “மோவாபின் வீழ்ச்சி மிக அருகிலுள்ளது. அவளுடைய அழிவு விரைவாய் வரும்.

“The calamity of Moab is near to come, and his affliction hurries fast.

All you who are around him, bemoan him; and all you who know his name, say, ‘How the strong staff is broken, the beautiful rod!’

18 “தீபோன் மகளின் குடிகளே! நீங்கள் உங்கள் மேன்மையிலிருந்து கீழிறங்கி வறண்ட நிலத்தில் உட்காருங்கள். ஏனெனில் மோவாபை அழிப்பவன் உங்களுக்கெதிராய் வந்து உங்கள் அரணுள்ள பட்டணங்களை அழித்துப் போடுவான்.

“You daughter who dwells in Dibon, come down from your glory, and sit in thirst; for the destroyer of Moab has come up against you. He has destroyed your strongholds.

19 அரோயேரில் குடியிருப்பவர்களே! தெருவோரமாய் நின்று கவனித்துப் பாருங்கள்; ஓடுகிற மனிதனிடமும், தப்பி ஓடுகிற பெண்ணிடமும், ‘நடந்தது என்ன?’ என்று கேளுங்கள்.

Inhabitant of Aroer, stand by the way and watch. Ask him who flees, and her who escapes; say, ‘What has been done?’

20 மோவாப் தகர்க்கப்பட்டபடியால், அது அவமதிக்கப்பட்டிருக்கிறது. ஓலமிட்டு அழுங்கள். மோவாப் அழிக்கப்பட்டதென்று அர்னோனில் அறிவியுங்கள்.

Moab is disappointed; for it is broken down. Wail and cry! Tell it by the Arnon, that Moab is laid waste.

21 சமனான பூமிக்கு நியாயத்தீர்ப்பு வந்திருக்கிறது. ஓலோன், யாத்சா, மேபாகாத் பட்டணங்களுக்கும்,

Judgement has come on the plain country— on Holon, on Jahzah, on Mephaath,

22 தீபோன், நேபோ, பெத்திப்லாத்தாயீம் பட்டணங்களுக்கும்,

on Dibon, on Nebo, on Beth Diblathaim,

23 கீரியாத்தாயீம், பெத்காமூல், பெத்மெயோன் பட்டணங்களுக்கும்,

on Kiriathaim, on Beth Gamul, on Beth Meon,

24 கீரியோத், போஸ்றா, மற்றும் தூரத்திலும் சமீபத்திலும் உள்ள மோவாபின் பட்டணங்கள் எல்லாவற்றுக்கும் நியாயத்தீர்ப்பு வந்துள்ளது.

on Kerioth, on Bozrah, and on all the cities of the land of Moab, far or near.

25 மோவாபின் பலம் எடுக்கப்பட்டது. அவளுடைய புயம் முறிக்கப்பட்டது” என்று யெகோவா அறிவிக்கிறார்.

The horn of Moab is cut off, and his arm is broken,” says the LORD.

26 “மோவாப் யெகோவாவை எதிர்த்தெழும்பினாள். ஆகையால் அவளை வெறிக்கப் பண்ணுங்கள். அவள் தன் வாந்தியிலேயே புரண்டு, மற்றவர்களுக்கு அவள் ஒரு கேலிப்பொருளுமாகட்டும்.

“Make him drunk, for he magnified himself against the LORD. Moab will wallow in his vomit, and he also will be in derision.

27 மோவாபே! இஸ்ரயேல் உனது கேலிப்பொருளாக இருக்கவில்லையோ? நீ அவளைப் பற்றிப் பேசும்போதெல்லாம் இகழ்ச்சியுடன் உன் தலையை அசைக்கிறாயே; அவள் என்ன கள்ளர்களோடுகூட பிடிக்கப்பட்டவளோ!

For wasn’t Israel a derision to you? Was he found amongst thieves? For as often as you speak of him, you shake your head.

28 மோவாபின் குடிகளே! நீங்கள் பட்டணங்களைவிட்டு மலைகளிலுள்ள பாறைகளின் மத்தியில் போய் குடியிருங்கள். குகை வாசலில் கூடுகட்டும் புறாவைப் போலிருங்கள்.

You inhabitants of Moab, leave the cities, and dwell in the rock. Be like the dove that makes her nest over the mouth of the abyss.

29 “மோவாபுடைய பெருமையைப் பற்றி நாங்கள் கேள்விப்பட்டோம். அவளுடைய ஆணவத்தையும், இறுமாப்பையும், பெருமையையும், அகங்காரத்தையும், இருதய அகந்தையையும் கேள்விப்பட்டிருக்கிறோம்.

“We have heard of the pride of Moab. He is very proud in his loftiness, his pride, his arrogance, and the arrogance of his heart.

30 அவளுடைய திமிரை நான் அறிவேன். இது பயனற்றது” என்று யெகோவா அறிவிக்கிறார். “அவள் அவளுடைய தற்புகழ் பேச்சினால் எதையுமே சாதிக்கப்போவதில்லை.

I know his wrath,” says the LORD, “that it is nothing; his boastings have done nothing.

31 ஆகவே நான் மோவாபைக் குறித்துப் புலம்புவேன். மோவாப் நாடு முழுவதற்காகவும் நான் கதறுவேன். கிர் ஹெரெஸ் மனிதருக்காகவும் ஏங்கி அழுவேன்.

Therefore I will wail for Moab. Yes, I will cry out for all Moab. They will mourn for the men of Kir Heres.

32 சிப்மா நாட்டிலுள்ள திராட்சைக் கொடிகளே! யாசேர் அழுவதைப்போல் நான் உங்களுக்காக அழுவேன். உங்கள் கிளைகள் கடல்வரை பரவி யாசேர் வரையும் எட்டியுள்ளன. உன்னுடைய பழுத்த பழங்கள் மீதும், திராட்சைப்பழ அறுப்பின் மீதும் அழிக்கிறவன் வந்துவிட்டான்.

With more than the weeping of Jazer I will weep for you, vine of Sibmah. Your branches passed over the sea. They reached even to the sea of Jazer. The destroyer has fallen on your summer fruits and on your vintage.

33 மோவாப் நாட்டின் வயல்களிலிருந்தும், பழத்தோட்டங்களிலிருந்தும், மகிழ்ச்சியும் களிப்பும் நீங்கிப்போயின. ஆலைகளிலிருந்து திராட்சரசம் வழிந்தோடுவதையும், நான் நிறுத்திவிட்டேன். மகிழ்ச்சியின் ஆரவாரத்தோடு அவைகளை மிதிப்பார் யாருமில்லை. சத்தங்கள் அங்கு இருந்தாலும், அவை மகிழ்ச்சியின் சத்தங்கள் அல்ல.

Gladness and joy is taken away from the fruitful field and from the land of Moab. I have caused wine to cease from the wine presses. No one will tread with shouting. The shouting will be no shouting.

From the cry of Heshbon even to Elealeh, even to Jahaz they have uttered their voice, from Zoar even to Horonaim, to Eglath Shelishiyah; for the waters of Nimrim will also become desolate.

35 மோவாபில் உயர்ந்த இடங்களில் பலிகளைச் செலுத்தி, தங்கள் தெய்வங்களுக்குத் தூபங்காட்டுகிறவர்களுக்கு ஒரு முடிவை உண்டாக்குவேன்” என்று யெகோவா அறிவிக்கிறார்.

Moreover I will cause to cease in Moab,” says the LORD, “him who offers in the high place, and him who burns incense to his gods.

36 “ஆகவே என் இருதயம் மோவாபிற்காக புல்லாங்குழலைப்போல் புலம்புகிறது. கிர் ஹெரெஸ் மனிதருக்காக அது ஒரு புல்லாங்குழலைப்போல் புலம்புகிறது. ஏனெனில் அவர்கள் சேமித்த செல்வம் போய்விட்டது.

Therefore my heart sounds for Moab like flutes, and my heart sounds like flutes for the men of Kir Heres. Therefore the abundance that he has gotten has perished.

37 தலைகளெல்லாம் மொட்டையடிக்கப்பட்டிருக்கின்றன. தாடிகளெல்லாம் வெட்டப்பட்டிருக்கின்றன. கைகளெல்லாம் குத்திக் கீறப்பட்டிருக்கின்றன. இடுப்புகளெல்லாம் துக்கவுடையால் மூடப்பட்டிருக்கின்றன.

For every head is bald, and every beard clipped. There are cuttings on all the hands, and sackcloth on the waist.

38 மோவாபிலுள்ள எல்லா வீட்டுக் கூரைகளின்மேலும், பொதுச் சதுக்கங்களிலும் துக்கங்கொண்டாடுதலே அல்லாமல் வேறொன்றுமில்லை. ஏனெனில் நான் மோவாபை ஒருவரும் விரும்பாத ஜாடியைப்போல் உடைத்துப் போட்டேன்” என்று யெகோவா அறிவிக்கிறார்.

On all the housetops of Moab, and in its streets, there is lamentation everywhere; for I have broken Moab like a vessel in which no one delights,” says the LORD.

39 “மோவாப் எவ்வளவாய் சிதறடிக்கப்பட்டிருக்கிறாள்! மக்கள் எவ்வளவாய் புலம்புகிறார்கள்! மோவாப் எவ்வளவாய் வெட்கத்தினால் தலைகுனிந்து நிற்கிறாள்! மோவாப் ஒரு கேலிப்பொருளானாள்; அவள் தன்னைச் சுற்றியுள்ள யாவருக்கும் திகிலூட்டும் பொருளானாள்.”

“How it is broken down! How they wail! How Moab has turned the back with shame! So will Moab become a derision and a terror to all who are around him.”

40 யெகோவா கூறுவது இதுவே: “இதோ, நோக்கிப்பாருங்கள். ஒரு கழுகு, தன் சிறகுகளை மோவாபின் மேலாக விரித்து அதைத் தாக்கும்படி கீழே வருகிறது.

For the LORD says: “Behold, he will fly as an eagle, and will spread out his wings against Moab.

41 கீரியோத் கைப்பற்றப்பட்டு அதன் பலத்த அரண்களும் பிடிக்கப்படும். அந்நாளில் மோவாபின் போர் வீரர்களின் இருதயங்கள் பிரசவிக்கிற ஒரு பெண்ணின் இருதயத்தைப் போலிருக்கும்.

Kerioth is taken, and the strongholds are seized. The heart of the mighty men of Moab at that day will be as the heart of a woman in her pangs.

42 மோவாப் யெகோவாவை எதிர்த்தபடியினால், அவள் ஒரு நாடாக இராதபடி அழிக்கப்படுவாள்.

Moab will be destroyed from being a people, because he has magnified himself against the LORD.

43 மோவாபின் மக்களே! பயங்கரமும், படுகுழியும், கண்ணியும் உங்களுக்காகக் காத்திருக்கின்றன” என்று யெகோவா அறிவிக்கிறார்.

Terror, the pit, and the snare are on you, inhabitant of Moab,” says the LORD.

44 “பயங்கரத்துக்குத் தப்பி ஓடுகிறவன், படுகுழிக்குள் விழுவான். குழியிலிருந்து வெளியே ஏறிவருகிறவன், கண்ணியில் அகப்படுவான். ஏனெனில் மோவாபுக்குரிய தண்டனையின் வருடத்தை நான் அதன்மீது கொண்டுவருவேன்” என்று யெகோவா அறிவிக்கிறார்.

“He who flees from the terror will fall into the pit; and he who gets up out of the pit will be taken in the snare, for I will bring on him, even on Moab, the year of their visitation,” says the LORD.

45 “தப்பியோடுகிறவர்கள் எஸ்போனின் நிழலில் செய்வதறியாது தவிக்கிறார்கள். ஏனெனில் எஸ்போனிலிருந்து நெருப்பும், சீகோனின் நடுவிலிருந்து ஒரு ஜுவாலையும் புறப்பட்டிருக்கிறது. அது மோவாபின் நெற்றிகளையும் பெருமையாய் பேசுகிறவர்களின் மண்டையோடுகளையும் எரிக்கிறது.

“Those who fled stand without strength under the shadow of Heshbon; for a fire has gone out of Heshbon, and a flame from the middle of Sihon, and has devoured the corner of Moab, and the crown of the head of the tumultuous ones.

46 மோவாபே, உனக்கு ஐயோ கேடு! கேமோஷ் தெய்வத்தின் மக்கள் அழிக்கப்பட்டிருக்கிறார்கள்; உன் மகன்கள் நாடுகடத்தப்பட்டிருக்கிறார்கள், உன் மகள்கள் சிறைப்பிடிக்கப்பட்டிருக்கிறார்கள்.

Woe to you, O Moab! The people of Chemosh are undone; for your sons are taken away captive, and your daughters into captivity.

47 “இருந்தும் பின்வரும் நாட்களில் நான் மோவாபின் செல்வங்களைத் திரும்பவும் கொடுப்பேன்” என்று யெகோவா அறிவிக்கிறார். மோவாபின் நியாயத்தீர்ப்பு இத்துடன் முடிகிறது.

“Yet I will reverse the captivity of Moab in the latter days,” says the LORD. Thus far is the judgement of Moab.
