Sakaria 2

1 Sedan lyfte jag upp mina ögon och fick då se en man som hade ett mätsnöre i sin hand.

And I lifted up eyes my and I saw and there! a man and [was] in hand his a cord of measurement.

2 Då frågade jag: "Vart går du?" Han svarade mig: "Till att mäta Jerusalem, för att se huru brett och huru långt det skall bliva."

And I said where? [are] you going and he said to me to measure Jerusalem to see how much? [is] breadth its and how much? [is] length its.

3 Då fick jag se ängeln som talade ned mig komma fram, och en annan ängel kom emot honom.

And there! the angel who was speaking with me [was] going out and an angel another [was] going out to meet him.

4 Och han sade till denne: "Skynda åstad och tala till den unge mannen där och säg: 'Jerusalem skall ligga såsom en obefäst plats; så stor myckenhet av människor och djur skall finnas därinne.

And he said (to him *Qk) run speak to the young man this saying open regions it will remain Jerusalem from [the] multitude of person[s] and livestock in [the] midst of it.

5 Men jag själv, säger HERREN, skall vara en eldsmur däromkring, och jag skall bevisa mig härlig därinne.'"

And I I will be to it [the] utterance of Yahweh a wall of fire all around and glory I will become in [the] middle of it.

6 Upp, upp! Flyn bort ur nordlandet, säger HERREN, I som av mig haven blivit förströdda åt himmelens fyra väderstreck, säger HERREN.

Alas! alas! flee from [the] land of [the] north [the] utterance of Yahweh that like [the] four [the] winds of the heavens I have scattered you [the] utterance of Yahweh.

7 Upp, Sion! Rädda dig, du som nu bor hos dottern Babel!

Alas! O Zion escape O inhabitant[s] of [the] daughter of Babylon.

8 Ty så säger HERREN Sebaot, han som har sänt mig åstad för att förhärliga sig, så säger han om hednafolken, vilka plundrade eder (ty den som rör vid eder, han rör vid hans ögonsten):

For thus he says Yahweh of hosts after honor he has sent me to the nations who plundered you for the [one who] touches you [is] touching [the] pupil of eye his.

9 "Se, jag lyfter min hand mot dem, och de skola bliva ett byte för sina forna trälar; och I skolen så förnimma att HERREN Sebaot har sänt mig."

For here I [am] about to brandish hand my on them and they will be plunder for own slaves their and you will know that Yahweh of hosts he has sent me.

10 Jubla och gläd dig, du dotter Sion; ty se, jag kommer för att aga min boning i dig, säger HERREN.

Shout for joy and rejoice O daughter of Zion for here I [am] about to come and I will dwell in midst of you [the] utterance of Yahweh.

11 Och då skola många hednafolk sluta sig till HERREN och bliva mitt folk. Ja, jag skall taga min boning i dig; och du skall förnimma att HERREN Sebaot har sänt mig till dig.

And they will join themselves nations many to Yahweh in the day that and they will become for me a people and I will dwell in midst of you and you will know that Yahweh of hosts he has sent me to you.

12 Och HERREN skall hava Juda till I sin arvedel i det heliga landet, och ännu en gång skall han utvälja Jerusalem.

And he will inherit Yahweh Judah portion his on [the] land of holiness and he will choose again Jerusalem.

13 Allt kött vare stilla inför HERREN; ty han har stått upp och trätt fram ur sin heliga boning.

Hush! O all flesh from before Yahweh for he has roused himself from [the] dwelling place of holiness his.
