Matteus 15
1 Härefter kommo fariséer och skriftlärde från Jerusalem till Jesus och sade:
Thanne the scribis and the Farisees camen to hym fro Jerusalem, and seiden,
2 "Varför överträda dina lärjungar de äldstes stadgar? De två ju icke sina händer, när de skola äta."
Whi breken thi disciplis the tradiciouns of eldere men? for thei waisschen not her hondis, whanne thei eten breed.
3 Men han svarade och sade till dem: "Varför överträden I själva Guds bud, för edra stadgars skull?
He answeride, and seide to hem, Whi breken ye the maundement of God for youre tradicioun?
4 Gud har ju sagt: 'Hedra din fader och din moder' och: 'Den som smädar sin fader eller sin moder, han skall döden dö.'
For God seide, Honoure thi fadir and thi modir, and he that cursith fadir or modir, die bi deeth.
5 Men I sägen, att om någon säger till sin fader eller sin moder: 'Vad du av mig kunde hava fått till hjälp, det giver jag i stället såsom offergåva', då behöver han alls icke hedra sin fader eller sin moder.
But ye seien, Who euer seith to fadir or modir, What euere yifte is of me, it schal profite to thee;
6 I haven så gjort Guds budord om intet, för edra stadgars skull.
and he hath not worschipid his fadir or his modir; and ye han maad the maundement of God voide for youre tradicioun.
7 I skrymtare, rätt profeterade Esaias om eder, när han sade:
Ypocritis, Isaie, the prophete, prophesiede wel of you,
8 'Detta folk ärar mig med sina läppar, men deras hjärtan äro långt ifrån mig;
and seide, This puple honourith me with lippis, but her herte is fer fro me;
9 och fåfängt dyrka de mig, eftersom de läror de förkunna äro människobud.'"
and thei worschipen me `with outen cause, techynge the doctrines and maundementis of men.
10 Och han kallade folket till sig och sade till dem: "Hören och förstån.
And whanne the puple weren clepid to gidere to hym, he seide to hem, Here ye, and `vndurstonde ye.
11 Icke vad som går in i munnen orenar människan, men vad som går ut ifrån munnen, det orenar människan."
That thing that entrith in to the mouth, defoulith not a man; but that thing that cometh out of the mouth, defoulith a man.
12 Då trädde hans lärjungar fram och sade till honom: "Vet du, att när fariséerna hörde det du nu sade, var det för dem en stötesten?"
Thanne hise disciplis camen, and seiden to hym, Thou knowist, that, if this word be herd, the Farisees ben sclaundrid?
13 Men han svarade och sade: "Var planta som min himmelske Fader icke har planterat skall ryckas upp med rötterna.
And he answeride, and seide, Eueri plauntyng, that my fadir of heuene hath not plauntid, shal be drawun vp by the roote.
14 Frågen icke efter dem. De äro blinda ledare; och om en blind leder en blind, så falla de båda i gropen."
Suffre ye hem; thei ben blynde, and leederis of blynde men. And if a blynd man lede a blynd man, bothe fallen doun in to the diche.
15 Då tog Petrus till orda och sade till honom: "Uttyd för oss detta bildliga tal."
Petre answeride, and seide to hym, Expowne to vs this parable.
16 Han sade: "Ären då också I ännu utan förstånd?
And he seide, Yit `ye ben also with oute vndurstondyng?
17 Insen I icke att allt som går in i munnen, det går ned i buken och har sin naturliga utgång?
Vndurstonden ye not, that al thing that entrith in to the mouth, goith in to the wombe, and is sent out in to the goyng awei?
18 Men vad som går ut ifrån munnen, det kommer från hjärtat, och det är detta som orenar människan.
But tho thingis that comen forth fro the mouth, goon out of the herte, and tho thingis defoulen a man.
19 Ty från hjärtat komma onda tankar, mord, äktenskapsbrott, otukt, tjuveri, falskt vittnesbörd, hädelse.
For of the herte goon out yuele thouytis, mansleyngis, auowtries, fornycaciouns, theftis, fals witnessyngis, blasfemyes.
20 Det är detta som orenar människan; men att äta med otvagna händer, det orenar icke människan."
Thes thingis it ben that defoulen a man; but to ete with hondis not waischun, defoulith not a man.
21 Och Jesus begav sig bort därifrån och drog sig undan till trakten av Tyrus och Sidon.
And Jhesus yede out fro thennus, and wente in to the coostis of Tire and Sidon.
22 Då kom en kananeisk kvinna från det området och ropade och sade: "Herre, Davids son, förbarma dig över mig. Min dotter plågas svårt av en ond ande."
And lo! a womman of Canane yede out of tho coostis, and criede, and seide to him, Lord, the sone of Dauid, haue merci on me; my douyter is yuel traueilid of a feend.
23 Men han svarade henne icke ett ord. Då trädde hans lärjungar fram och bådo honom och sade: "Giv henne besked; hon förföljer oss ju med sitt ropande."
And he answeride not to hir a word. And hise disciplis camen, and preieden hym, and seiden, Leue thou hir, for she crieth aftir vs.
24 Han svarade och sade: "Jag är icke utsänd till andra än till de förlorade fåren av Israels hus."
He answeride, and seide, Y am not sent, but to the scheep of the hous of Israel that perischiden.
25 Men hon kom fram och föll ned för honom och sade: "Herre, hjälp mig."
And she cam, and worschipide hym, and seide, Lord, helpe me.
26 Då svarade han och sade: "Det är otillbörligt att taga brödet från barnen och kasta det åt hundarna."
Which answeride, and seide, It is not good to take the breed of children, and caste to houndis.
27 Hon sade: "Ja, Herre. Också äta ju hundarna allenast av de smulor som falla ifrån deras herrars bord."
And she seide, Yhis, Lord; for whelpis eten of the crummes, that fallen doun fro the bord of her lordis.
28 Då svarade Jesus och sade till henne: "O kvinna, din tro är stor. Ske dig såsom du vill." Och hennes dotter var frisk ifrån den stunden.
Thanne Jhesus answeride, and seide to hir, A! womman, thi feith is greet; be it doon to thee, as thou wolt. And hir douytir was helid fro that hour.
29 Men Jesus gick därifrån vidare och kom till Galileiska sjön. Och han gick upp på berget och satte sig där.
And whanne Jhesus hadde passed fro thennus, he cam bisidis the see of Galilee. And he yede vp in to an hil, and sat there.
30 Då kom mycket folk till honom, och de hade med sig halta, blinda, dövstumma, lytta och många andra; dem lade de ned för hans fötter, och han botade dem,
And myche puple cam to hym, and hadden with hem doumbe men and crokid, feble and blynde, and many other; and thei castiden doun hem at hise feet. And he helide hem,
31 så att folket förundrade sig, när de funno dövstumma tala, lytta vara friska och färdiga, halta gå och blinda se. Och man prisade Israels Gud.
so that the puple wondriden seynge doumbe men spekynge, and crokid goynge, blynde men seynge; and thei magnyfieden God of Israel.
32 Och Jesus kallade sina lärjungar till sig och sade: "Jag ömkar mig över folket, ty det är redan tre dagar som de hava dröjt kvar hos mig, och de hava intet att äta; och jag vill icke låta dem gå ifrån mig fastande, för att de icke skola uppgivas på vägen."
And Jhesus, whanne hise disciplis weren clepid to gidere, seide to hem, Y haue reuthe of the puple, for thei han abiden now thre daies with me, and han no thing to ete; and Y wole not leeue hem fastynge, lest thei failen in the weie.
33 Då sade lärjungarna till honom: "Varifrån skola vi här, i en öken, få så mycket bröd, att vi kunna mätta så mycket folk?"
And the disciplis seien to him, Wherof thanne so many looues among vs in desert, to fulfille so greet a puple?
34 Jesus frågade dem: "Huru många bröd haven I?" De svarade: "Sju, och därtill några få småfiskar."
And Jhesus seide to hem, Hou many looues han ye? And thei seiden, Seuene, and a fewe smale fisshis.
35 Då tillsade han folket att lägra sig på marken.
And he comaundide to the puple, to sitte to mete on the erthe.
36 Och han tog de sju bröden, så ock fiskarna, och tackade Gud och bröt bröden och gav åt lärjungarna, och lärjungarna gåvo åt folket.
And he took seuene looues and fyue fischis, and dide thankyngis, and brak, and yaf to hise disciplis; and the disciplis yauen to the puple.
37 Så åto de alla och blevo mätta. Och de överblivna styckena samlade man sedan upp, sju korgar fulla.
And alle eten, and weren fulfillid, and thei token that that was left of relifes, seuene lepis fulle.
38 Men de som hade ätit voro fyra tusen män, förutom kvinnor och barn.
And thei that eten weren foure thousynde of men, with outen litle children and wymmen.
39 Sedan lät han folket skiljas åt och steg i båten och for till Magadans område.
And whanne he hadde left the puple, he wente vp in to a boot, and cam in to the coostis of Magedan.
