Jesaja 16

1 "Sänden åstad de lamm som landets herre bör hava från Sela genom öknen till dottern Sions berg."

Send a lamb [the] ruler of [the] land from Sela [the] wilderness towards to [the] mountain of [the] daughter of Zion.

2 Och såsom flyktande fåglar, lika skrämda fågelungar komma Moabs döttrar till Arnons vadställen.

And it will be like a bird fluttering a nest sent away they will be [the] daughters of Moab [the] fords of Arnon.

3 De säga: "Giv oss råd, bliv medlare för oss. Låt din skugga vara såsom natten, nu mitt i middagshettan. Skydda de fördrivna; röj icke de flyktande.

(Bring *Qk) counsel make a decision make like night shade your in [the] middle of [the] noon hide outcasts a fugitive may not you expose.

4 Låt mina fördrivna finna härbärge hos dig, var för Moab ett beskärm mot fördärvaren, till dess att utpressaren ej mer är till och fördärvet får en ände och förtryckarna försvinna bort ur landet.

Let them sojourn among you outcasts my Moab be a shelter of them from before [the] destroyer if he will come to an end the oppressor it will cease devastation they will be finished [the] trampler from the land.

5 Så skall genom eder mildhet eder tron bliva befäst, och på den skall sitta trygg i Davids hydda en furste som far efter vad rätt är och främjar rättfärdighet."

And it will be established in covenant loyalty a throne and he will sit on it in faithfulness in [the] tent of David [one who] judges and [one who] seeks justice and [one] prompt of righteousness.

6 Vi hava hört om Moabs högmod, det övermåttan höga, om hans högfärd, högmod och övermod och opålitligheten i hans lösa tal.

We have heard [the] pride of Moab proud very haughtiness its and pride its and arrogance its [are] not right empty boasts its.

7 Därför måste nu Moab jämra sig över Moab, hela landet måste jämra sig. Över Kir-Haresets druvkakor måsten I sucka i djup bedrövelse.

Therefore it will wail Moab for Moab all of it it will wail for [the] raisin-cakes of Kir Hareseth you will groan only stricken people.

8 Ty Hesbons fält äro förvissnade, så ock Sibmas vinträd, vilkas ädla druvor slogo folkens herrar till marken, vilkas rankor nådde till Jaeser och förirrade sig i öknen, vilkas skott bredde ut sig och gingo över havet.

For [the] fields of Heshbon it has withered [the] vine[s] of Sibmah rulers of nations they have struck down choice grapes its to Jazer they reached they wandered [the] wilderness shoots its they were spread out they passed over [the] sea.

9 Därför gråter jag över Sibmas vinträd, såsom Jaeser gråter; med mina tårar vattnar jag dig, Hesbon, och dig, Eleale. Ty mitt i din sommar och din bärgningstid har ett skördeskri slagit ned.

There-fore I weep with [the] weeping of Jazer [the] vine[s] of Sibmah I water abundantly you tear[s] my O Heshbon and Elealeh for on summer fruit your and on harvest your shouting it has fallen.

10 Glädje och fröjd är nu avbärgad från de bördiga fälten, och i vingårdarna höjes intet glädjerop, höres intet jubel; ingen trampar vin i pressarna, på skördeskriet har jag gjort slut.

And it will be removed gladness and rejoicing from the orchard and in the vineyards not anything will be sung not anything will be shouted wine in the wine-presses not he will tread the treader shouting I have made to cease.

11 Därför klagar mitt hjärta såsom en harpa över Moab, ja, mitt innersta över Kir-Heres.

There-fore inward parts my for Moab like harp they make a sound and inner being my for Kir Heres.

12 Ty huru än Moab ävlas att träda upp på offerhöjden och huru han än går in i sin helgedom och beder, så uträttar han intet därmed.

And it will be that it has presented itself if it has wearied itself Moab on the high place and it will come to sanctuary its to pray and not it will prevail.

13 Detta är det ord, som HERREN tillförne talade till Moab.

This [is] the word which he has spoken Yahweh concerning Moab from then.

14 Men nu har HERREN åter talat och sagt: Inom tre år, såsom dagakarlen räknar åren, skall Moab i sin härlighet, med alla sina stora skaror, varda aktad för intet; och vad som bliver kvar skall vara litet och ringa, icke mycket värt.

And now he says Yahweh saying in three years like [the] years of a hired laborer and it will be lightly esteemed [the] honor of Moab for all the multitude great and a remnant little smallness not [will be] mighty.
