Matteus 12
1 I den tiden gick Jesus genom säd på Sabbathen; och hans Lärjungar voro hungrige, och begynte upprycka ax, och äta.
In that season, went Jesus, on, the sabbath, through the cornfields, —and, his disciples, hungered, and began to pluck ears of corn, and to eat.
2 När de Phariseer det sågo, sade de till honom: Si, dine Lärjungar göra det som icke lofligit är göra på Sabbathen.
But, the Pharisees, observing it, said unto him, Lo! thy disciples, are doing what is not allowed to do, on sabbath.
3 Men han sade till dem: Hafven I icke läsit hvad David gjorde, när han, och de som med honom voro, hungrade;
And he said unto them, have ye never read what, David, did, when he hungered, and they who were with him? how
4 Huru han gick in i Guds hus, och åt skådobröden, som honom icke var lofligit äta; icke heller dem, som med honom voro, utan allenast Prestomen?
he entered into the house of God and, the presence-bread, did eat, which it was not, allowable, for him to eat, nor for them who were with him, —save for the priests, alone?
5 Eller hafven I icke läsit i lagen, att på Sabbathen bryta Presterna Sabbathen i templet; och äro likväl utan skuld?
Or have ye not read, in the law, that, on the sabbaths, the priests, in the temple, the sabbath, profane, and are, blameless?
6 Men jag säger eder, att här är den som är mer än templet.
But I say unto you, —Something greater than the Temple, is here!
7 Men vissten I hvad det vore: Jag hafver lust till barmhertighet, och icke till offer, då dömden I icke de oskyldiga;
If, however, ye had known what this meaneth—Mercy, I desire, and not, sacrifice, ye would not have condemned the blameless;
8 Ty menniskones Son är en Herre, desslikes ock öfver Sabbathen.
For, the Son of Man, is, Lord of the Sabbath.
9 Då gick han dädan fram bätter, och kom i deras Synagogo;
And, passing on from thence, he came into their synagogue;
10 Och si, der var en man, som hade ena bortvissnada hand; och de sporde honom, sägande: Må man ock hela om Sabbathen? på det de måtte anklaga honom.
and lo! a man having, a withered hand, and they questioned him, saying, Is it allowable, on the sabbath, to heal? that they might accuse him.
11 Då sade han till dem: Hvilken är den menniska ibland eder, som hafver ett får, och om det faller i gropena om Sabbathen, går han icke och fattar uti det, och drager det upp?
And said unto them, What man, from among yourselves, [shall there be], —Who shall have one sheep, and, if this should fall, on the sabbath, into a pit, will not lay hold of it, and raise it?
12 Huru mycket bättre är nu en menniska än ett får? Derföre må man ju göra väl på Sabbathen.
How much better, then, a man, than, a sheep? So that it is allowable, on the sabbath, nobly, to act.
13 Och sade han till mannen: Räck ut dina hand; och han uträckte henne; och hon vardt färdig igen, såsom den andra.
Then saith he unto the man, Stretch forth thy hand! And he stretched it forth, —and it was restored, whole, as the other.
14 Då gingo de Phariseer ut, och lade råd emot honom, huru de måtte förgöra honom.
And the Pharisees, going forth, took, counsel, against him, to the end that, him, they might destroy.
15 Men när Jesus det förnam, gick han dädan; och honom följde mycket folk, och han gjorde dem alla helbregda;
But, Jesus, taking note, retired from thence, —and many followed him, and he cured them all;
16 Och hotade dem, att de icke skulle uppenbara honom;
and straitly charged them, lest they should make him, manifest:
17 På det fullkomnas skulle det som sagdt var genom Propheten Esaias, som sade:
that it might be fulfilled, which was spoken through Isaiah the prophet, saying: —
18 Si, min tjenare, den jag utvalt hafver; min käreste, i hvilkom min själ hafver ett godt behag; jag skall sätta min Anda på honom, och han skall förkunna Hedningomen domen.
Lo! my servant, whom I have chosen, My beloved, in whom, my soul, delighteth, —I will put my Spirit upon him, and, justice, unto the nations, will he report:
19 Han skall icke kifva eller ropa, och hans röst skall man icke höra på gatomen.
He will not strive, nor will he cry out, nor shall any hear, in the broadways, his voice:
20 Den rö, som krossad är, skall han icke sönderbryta; och vekan, som ryker, skall han icke utsläcka, tilldess han utförer domen till en seger;
A bruised cane, will he not break, and, a smoking wick, will he not quench, —until he urge on, justice, to victory,
21 Och i hans Namn skola Hedningarna hoppas.
And, in his name, shall nations hope.
22 Då hades fram till honom en, som var besatt med djefvulen, han var blind och dumbe; den gjorde han helbregda, så att samme blinde och dumbe både talade och såg.
Then they brought unto him, one demonized, blind and dumb, —and he cured him, so that the dumb did speak and see.
23 Och allt folket blef förskräckt, och sade: Är denne icke Davids Son?
And all the multitudes were beside themselves, and were saying, Can, this one, be, the Son of David?
24 Men när de Phariseer det hörde, sade de: Han utdrifver icke djeflar, utan med Beelzebub, djeflarnas öfversta.
But, the Pharisees, hearing it, said, This one, doth not cast out the demons, save in Beelzebul ruler of the demons.
25 Då nu Jesus förstod deras tankar, sade han till dem: Hvart och ett rike, som är tvedrägtigt emot sig sjelft, det blifver öde; och hvar och en stad, eller hus, som är tvedrägtigt emot sig sjelft, blifver icke ståndandes.
And, knowing their inward thoughts, he said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself, is laid waste, —and, no city or house divided against itself, will stand;
26 Är det nu så, att Satan drifver Satan ut, då är han tvedrägtigt emot sig sjelf; huru blifver då hans rike beståndandes?
And, if, Satan, is casting, Satan, out, against himself, hath he become divided, —How then shall, his kingdom, stand?
27 Och är det så, att jag drifver djeflar ut med Beelzebub, med hvem drifva då edor barn dem ut? Derföre skola de vara edra domare.
And, if, I, in Beelzebul, am casting out the demons, In whom are, your sons, casting them out? Wherefore, they, shall be, judges of you.
28 Men är det så, att jag drifver djeflar ut med Guds Anda, då är ju Guds rike kommet till eder.
But, if, in God’s Spirit, I, am casting out the demons, then doubtless hath come upon you unawares, the kingdom of God!
29 Eller, huru kan någor gå i ens mägtigs mans hus, och beröfva honom hans boting bort, utan han först binder den mägtiga, och så sedan skinnar hans hus?
Or how can one enter the house of the mighty and, seize his goods, unless, first, he bind the mighty one? and, then, his house, he will plunder.
30 Hvilken som icke är med mig, han är emot mig; och hvilken som icke församlar med mig, han förskingrar.
He that is no with me, is, against me, —and, he that gathereth not with me, scattereth
31 Fördenskull säger jag eder: All synd och försmädelse blifver menniskomen förlåten; men försmädelse mot Andan skall icke blifva menniskomen förlåten.
Wherefore, I say unto you, All sin and profane speaking, shall be forgiven unto men, —but, the speaking profanely of the Spirit, shall not be forgiven;
32 Och hvilken som säger något emot menniskones Son, det varder honom förlåtet: men hvilken som säger något emot den Helga Anda, det varder honom icke förlåtet, hvarken i denna, eller i den tillkommande verld. (aiōn g165)
And, whosoever shall speak a word against the Son of Man, it shall be forgiven him, —but, whosoever shall speak against the Holy Spirit, it shall not be forgiven him, either in this age, or the coming. (aiōn g165)
33 Görer antingen trät godt, så varder frukten god; eller ock görer trät ondt, så varder frukten ond; ty af fruktene känner man trät.
Either make the tree good, and its fruit good, or make the tree worthless, and its fruit worthless; for, from the fruit, the tree is known.
34 I huggormars afföda, huru kunnen I tala något godt, medan I ären sjelfve onde? Ty der hjertat med fullt är, deraf talar munnen.
Broods of vipers! How can ye speak, good things, being, evil? For, out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaketh.
35 En god menniska bär godt fram af hjertans goda fatabur; och en ond menniska bär ondt fram af en ond fatabur.
The good man, out of the good treasure, putteth forth, good things; and, the evil man, out of the evil treasure, putteth forth, evil things.
36 Men jag säger eder, att för hvart och ett fåfängt ord, som menniskorna tala, skola de göra räkenskap på domedag.
But I say unto you, That, every useless expression that men shall utter, they shall render, concerning it, an account, in a day of judgment;
37 Ty af din ord skall du blifva rättfärdig hållen, och af din ord skall du varda fördömd.
For, by thy words, shalt thou be, justified, and, by thy words, shalt thou be condemned.
38 Då svarade någre utaf de Skriftlärda och de Phariseer, och sade: Mästar, vi vilje se tecken af dig.
Then, answered him, certain of the Scribes and Pharisees, saying, Teacher! we desire of thee, a sign, to behold.
39 Svarade han, och sade till dem: Detta vrånga och horiska slägtet söker efter tecken; och thy skall intet tecken gifvas, annat än Jone Prophetens tecken.
But, he, answering, said unto them, A wicked and adulterous generation, a sign, doth seek, and, a sign, will not be, given, it, save the sign of Jonah the prophet.
40 Ty såsom Jonas var i tre dagar och tre nätter i hvalfiskens buk; så skall menniskones Son vara i tre dagar och i tre nätter i jordene.
For, just as was Jonah in the belly of the sea-monster three days and three nights, so, will be the Son of Man, in the heart of the earth, three days and three nights.
41 De Ninivitiske män skola stå upp på domen med detta slägtet, och fördöma det; ty de bättrade sig efter Jone predikan; och si, här är mer än Jonas.
Men of Nineveh, will rise up in the judgment, with this generation, and will condemn it, —because they repented into the proclamation of Jonah; and lo! something greater than Jonah, here.
42 Drottningen af söderlanden skall stå upp på domen med detta slägtet, och fördöma det; ty hon kom ifrå jordenes ända, till att höra Salomons visdom; och si, här är mer än Salomon.
The queen of the south, will arise in the judgment with this generation and will condemn it—because she came out of the ends of the earth, to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and lo! something greater than Solomon, here.
43 När den orene anden är utfaren af menniskone, så vandrar han genom de rum, som torr äro, söker efter hvilo, och finner ingen.
But, when the impure spirit goeth out of the man, it passeth through waterless places, seeking rest, —and findeth it not.
44 Så säger han: Jag vill komma igen i mitt hus, der jag utgick; och när han kommer, finner han det tomt, och rent sopadt, och prydt.
Then, it saith, Into my house, will I return whence I came out, —and, coming, findeth it empty [and] swept and adorned.
45 Så går han bort, och tager sju andra andar till sig, de som värre äro än han sjelfver; och då de der inkomma, bo de der; så blifver den menniskones sista värre än det första. Så varder ock tillgångandes med detta vrånga slägtet.
Then, it goeth, and taketh along with itself, seven diverse spirits, more wicked than itself, —and, entering, abideth there; and, the last state of that man, becometh, worse than the first. So, shall it be, with this, wicked, generation.
46 Vid han ännu talade till folket, si, hans moder och bröder stodo utanföre, och ville tala med honom.
While yet he was speaking unto the multitudes, lo! his mother and brethren, were standing without, seeking to speak with him.
47 Då sade en till honom: Si, din moder och dine bröder stå ute, och vilja tala med dig.
[And one said to him, Lo! thy mother and thy brethren, without, are standing, seeking, to speak, with thee.]
48 Då svarade han, och sade till den, som honom bådade: Hvilken är min moder, och hvilke äro mine bröder?
But, he, answering, said unto him that was telling him, Who is my mother? and who are my brethren?
49 Och räckte ut handena åt sina Lärjungar, och sade: Si, min moder och mine bröder.
And, stretching forth his hand towards his disciples, he said, Lo! my mother and my brethren!
50 Ty hvar och en, som gör mins Faders vilja, som är i himmelen, han är min broder, och syster, och moder.
For, whosoever shall do the will of my Father who is in the heavens, he, is my, brother, and sister, and mother.
