Lukas 13
1 På samma tid voro der någre tillstädes, som bådade honom om de Galileer, hvilkas blod Pilatus hade blandat med deras offer.
Now there were present some, in that very season, bringing tidings to him, concerning the Galilaeans whose blood Pilate had mingled with their sacrifices.
2 Då svarade Jesus, och sade till dem: Menen I att desse Galileer voro syndare för alla Galileer, efter de sådant ledo?
And, answering, he said unto them—Suppose ye, that, these Galilaeans, had become, sinners beyond all the Galilaeans, because, these things, they have suffered?
3 Nej, säger jag eder; utan om I icke bättren eder, skolen I alle sammalunda förgås.
Nay! I tell you, but, except ye repent, ye, all, in like manner, shall perish.
4 Eller de aderton, som tornet i Siloa föll uppå, och drap dem, menen I att de brottslige voro för alla menniskor, som bo i Jerusalem?
Or, those eighteen, upon whom fell the tower in Siloam, and slew them, suppose ye that, they, had become, debtors, beyond all the men who were dwelling in Jerusalem?
5 Nej, säger jag eder; utan om I icke bättren eder, skolen I alle sammalunda förgås.
Nay! I tell you, but, except ye repent, ye, all, in the same way, shall perish.
6 Sade han ock denna liknelsen: En man hade ett fikonaträ planteradt i sin vingård, och han kom och sökte frukt derpå, och fann ingen.
And he went on to speak this parable: —A certain man had, a fig-tree, planted in his vineyard, and he canto seeking fruit therein, and found none.
7 Då sade han till vingårdsmannen: Si, nu i tre år hafver jag kommit, och sökt frukt på detta fikonaträt, och finner ingen; hugg det bort; hvarefter skall det förhindra jordena?
And he said unto the vine-dresser—Lo! three years, I come, seeking fruit in this fig-tree, and find none. Cut it down! Why doth it make, even the round useless?
8 Han svarade, och sade till honom: Herre, låt stå det ännu i detta året, så länge jag grafver omkring det och göder det;
And, he, answering, saith unto him—Sir! let it alone this year also, until such time as I dig about it, and throw in manure, —
9 Om det så kunde bära frukt; hvar ock icke, så hugg det sedan bort.
and if it may bear fruit for the future; …but, otherwise, certainly, thou shalt cut it down.
10 Och han lärde om Sabbathen i en Synagogo.
And he was teaching in one of the synagogues, on the Sabbath.
11 Och si, der var en qvinna, som hade haft krankhetenes anda i aderton år; och var krumpen, och förmådde icke upplyfta hufvudet.
And lo! a woman, having a spirit of weakness eighteen years, —and was bowed together, and unable to lift herself up, at all.
12 När Jesus såg henne, kallade han henne till sig, och sade till henne: Qvinna, var fri af dine krankhet.
And, seeing her, Jesus called her and said to her—Woman! thou art loosed from thy weakness, —
13 Och han lade händerna på henne: och straxt reste hon sig upp, och prisade Gud.
and laid on her his hands; and, instantly, she was made straight again, and began glorifying God.
14 Då svarade öfversten för Synagogon, och var vred att Jesus helade på Sabbathen, och sade till folket: Sex dagar äro, der I mågen arbeta på; kommer på dem, och låter hela eder; icke på Sabbathen.
But the synagogue-ruler, answering, being greatly displeased that, on the Sabbath, Jesus had healed, began saying unto the multitude—Six days, there are, in which men ought to get their work done; On them, therefore, come and be healed, and, not on the day of rest.
15 Då svarade Herren honom, och sade: Du skrymtare, löser icke hvar och en af eder om Sabbathen sin oxa eller åsna ifrå krubbone, och leder bort att vattna?
The Lord answered him, and said—Hypocrites! Doth not, each one of you, on the Sabbath, loose his ox or ass from the manger, and, leading it away, give it drink?
16 Måtte man då icke lösa af detta bandet, på Sabbathen, denna Abrahams dotter, hvilken Satan bundit hafver, si, nu i aderton år?
But, this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan had bound, lo! eighteen years, was there not a needs-be that she should be loosed from this bond, on the day of rest?
17 Och då han detta sade, skämde sig alle som honom emotståndit hade, och allt folket gladde sig af de härliga gerningar, som gjordes af honom.
And, as he was saying, these, things, all who had been setting themselves against him were being put to shame; and, all the multitude, were rejoicing over all the glorious things which were being brought to pass by him.
18 Så sade han då: Hvem är Guds rike likt? Och vid hvad skall jag likna det?
He went on to say, therefore—Whereunto, is the kingdom of God, like? And, whereunto, shall I liken it?
19 Det är likt vid ett senapskorn, som en man tog, och sådde i sin örtagård; och det växte, och blef ett stort trä, och foglarna under himmelen bodde på dess qvistar.
It is, like, unto a grain of mustard seed, which a man took and cast into his own garden; and it grew, and became a tree, and, the birds of heaven, lodged amongst its branches.
20 Och åter sade han: Vid hvad skall jag likna Guds rike?
And, again, he said—Whereunto, shall I liken the kingdom of God?
21 Det är likt enom surdeg, hvilken en qvinna tog, och lade in uti tre skäppor mjöl, tilldess det surnade alltsammans.
It is, like leaven, which a woman took and hid in three measures of flour, until, the whole, was leavened.
22 Och han gick igenom städer och byar, och lärde, och tog vägen åt Jerusalem.
And he was journeying on, city by city and village by village, and making, progress, unto Jerusalem.
23 Och en sade till honom: Herre, äro de ock få, som varda salige? Då sade han till dem:
And one said unto him—Lord! are they, few, who are being saved? And, he, said unto them—
24 Vinnlägger eder derom, att I kunnen ingå igenom den trånga porten; ty månge, säger jag eder, skola söka derefter, att de må inkomma, och skola dock icke kunna.
Be striving to enter through the narrow door; for, many, I say unto you, will seek to enter, and will not be able, —
25 Sedan husbonden hafver uppståndit, och låtit dörren igen; och I begynnen stå ute, och bulta på dörren, sägande: Herre, Herre, låt upp för oss; och han svarar, och säger till eder: Jag vet intet af eder, hvadan I ären;
when once the householder shall rouse himself, and lock the door, and ye begin to stand, outside, and to knock at the door, saying—Lord! open to us; and he shall answer and say unto you—I know you not, whence ye are.
26 Då skolen I begynna säga: Vi hafvom ätit och druckit med dig, och du hafver lärt på våra gator.
Then, will ye begin to say—We did eat and drink in thy presence, and, in our broadways, thou didst, teach;
27 Och han skall säga: Jag säger eder, jag vet intet af eder, hvadan I ären; går ifrå mig, alle I ogerningsmän.
And he will speak, saying unto you—I know not whence ye are; Depart from me, all workers of unrighteous—
28 Och der skall vara gråt och tandagnisslan; när I fån se Abraham, Isaac och Jacob, och alla Propheterna, i Guds rike; och eder utdrifvas.
There, will be weeping and gnashing of teeth, as soon as ye see Abraham and Isaac and Jacob and all the prophets, in the kingdom of God, and, yourselves, being thrust forth outside.
29 Och de skola komma ifrån östan och vestan, och nordan och sunnan, och skola sitta till bords i Guds rike.
And they shall have come from east and west, and from north and south, and be made recline in the kingdom of God.
30 Och si, det äro någre ytterste, som skola varda de främste; och någre främste, som skola varda de ytterste.
And lo! there are, last, who shall be, first, and there are, first, who shall be, last;
31 Samma dagen gingo någre Phariseer fram, och sade till honom: Skynda dig, och gack hädan; ty Herodes vill dräpa dig.
In that very hour, came near certain Pharisees, saying unto him, Go forth, and be journeying hence, because, Herod, desireth to slay thee.
32 Då sade han till dem: Går, och säger dem räfvenom: Si, jag utdrifver djeflar, och helar i dag, och i morgon; och tredje dagen varder det ändadt med mig.
And he said unto them—Go and tell this fox, Lo! I am casting out demons, and, cures, am I finishing, to-day, and to-morrow, —
33 Dock likväl måste jag ännu vandra i dag, och i morgon, och öfvermorgon; ty det kan icke vara, att en Prophet förgås annorstädes än i Jerusalem.
and, on the third, I am to be made perfect. Nevertheless, I must needs, to-day, and tomorrow, and the following, be journeying on, because it is impossible that a prophet perish, outside Jerusalem.
34 Jerusalem, Jerusalem, du som dräper Propheterna, och stenar dem som sändas till dig; huru ofta ville jag församla din barn, likavisst som foglen sitt näste under sina vingar; och I villen icke?
Jerusalem! Jerusalem! she that slayeth the prophets, and stoneth them that are sent unto her! How often, have I desired to gather together thy children, like as a hen, her own brood, under her wings, —and ye did not desire!
35 Si, edart hus skall varda eder öde; och säger jag eder, att I skolen icke se mig, tilldess tiden kommer, att I varden sägande: Välsignad är han, som kommer i Herrans Namn.
Lo! your house is left to you. [And] I say unto you—In nowise shall ye see me, until ye say, —Blessed, is he that cometh in the name of the Lord!
