1 Mungu, wewe umetutupa; umeuvunja ulinzi wetu; wewe umekuwa hasirani; utuwezeshe tena.

2 Wewe umeifanya nchi kutetemeka; umeipasua pasua; uiponye nyufa zake, maana zinatikisika.
You have shaken the land and cleft it; heal its tottering breaches.
3 Wewe umewafanya watu wako kuona mambo magumu; umetufanya tunywe mvinyo wenye kutufanya kupepesuka.
You have made your people drink hardship, and given us wine of reeling.
4 Kwa wale wanao kuheshimu wewe, wewe umeweka bandera ionekane dhidi ya wale wabebao upinde. (Selah)
You have given those who fear you a banner, a rallying-place from the bow, (Selah)
5 Ili kwamba wale uwapendao waweze kuokolewa, utuokoe sisi kwa mkono wako wa kuume na unijibu.
for the rescue of your beloved. Save by your right hand and answer us.
6 Mungu ameongea katika utakatifu wake, “Nitashangilia; nitaigawanya Shekemu na kuligawa bonde la Sukothi.
God did solemnly swear: “As victor will I divide Shechem, and mete out the valley of Succoth.
7 Gileadi ni yangu, na Manase ni yangu na Ephraimu pia ni kofia yangu ya chuma; Yuda ni fimbo yangu ya kifalme.
Mine is Gilead, mine is Manasseh, Ephraim is the defence of my head, Judah my sceptre of rule,
8 Moabu ni bakuli langu la kunawia; juu ya Edomu nitatupa kiatu changu; nitapiga kelele za ushindi kwa sababu ya Filisti.”
Moab the pot that I wash in, Edom – I cast my shoe over it, I shout o’er Philistia in triumph.”
9 Ni nani atakaye nileta kwenye mji imara? Ni nani ataniongoza kwenda Edomu?
O to be brought to the fortified city! O to be led into Edom!
10 Lakini wewe, Mungu, je, haukutukataa? Wewe hauendi vitani pamoja na jeshi letu.
Have you not spurned us, O God? You do not march forth with our armies.
11 Utusaidie dhidi ya adui yetu, maana msaada wa mwanadamu ni bure.
Grant us help from the foe, for human help is worthless.
12 Kwa msaada wa Mungu tutashinda; yeye atawakanyaga chini adui zetu.
With God we shall yet do bravely: he himself will tread down our foes.
