1 Msifuni Yahwe. Mwimbieni Yahwe wimbo mpya; imbeni sifa zake katika kusanyiko la waaminifu.

Praise Adonai! Sing to Adonai a new song, his tehilah ·praise song· in the assembly of the saints.

2 Israeli ishangilie katika yeye aliye iumba; watu wa Sayuni na washangilie katika mfalme wao.

Let Israel [God prevails] rejoice in him who made them. Let the children of Zion [Mountain ridge, Marking] be joyful in their King.

3 Nao walisifu jina lake kwa kucheza; na wamuimbie sifa yeye kwa ngoma na kinubi.

Let them praise his name in the dance! Let them sing zahmar ·musical praise· to him with tambourine and harp!

4 Kwa kuwa Yahwe hupata furaha katika watu wake; huwapa utukufu wanyeyekevu kwa wokovu.

For Adonai takes pleasure in his people. He crowns the humble with yishu'ah ·salvation·.

5 Wacha Mungu wauchangilie ushindi; nao waimbe kwa furaha vitandani mwao.

Let the saints rejoice in kavod ·weighty glory·. Let them sing for joy on their beds.

6 Sifa za Mungu na ziwe vinywani mwao na panga mbili zenye makali mkononi mwao

May the high praises of God be in their mouths, and a two-edged sword in their hand;

7 kutekeleza kisasi juu ya mataifa na matendo ya adhabu juu ya watu.

To execute vengeance on the nations, and punishments on the peoples;

8 Nao watawafunga wafalme wao kwa minyororo na wakuu wao kwa pingu za chuma. Watatekeleza hukumu ambayo imeandikwa.

To bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron;

9 Hii itakuwa ni heshima kwa ajili ya watakatifu wake wote. Msifuni Yahwe.
