San Lucas 16
1 Y dijo también a sus discípulos: Había un hombre rico, el cual tenía un mayordomo, y éste fue acusado delante de él como disipador de sus bienes.
He seide also to hise disciplis, Ther was a riche man, that hadde a baili; and this was defamed to him, as he hadde wastid his goodis.
2 Y le llamó, y le dijo: ¿Qué es esto que oigo de ti? Da cuenta de tu mayordomía, porque ya no podrás más ser mayordomo.
And he clepide hym, and seide to hym, What here Y this thing of thee? yelde reckynyng of thi baili, for thou miyte not now be baili.
3 Entonces el mayordomo dijo dentro de sí: ¿Qué haré? Que mi señor me quita la mayordomía. Cavar, no puedo; mendigar, tengo vergüenza.
And the baili seide with ynne him silf, What schal Y do, for my lord takith awei fro me the baili? delfe mai Y not, I schame to begge.
4 Yo sé lo que haré para que cuando fuere quitado de la mayordomía, me reciban en sus casas.
Y woot what Y schal do, that whanne Y am remeued fro the baili, thei resseyue me in to her hous.
5 Y llamando a cada uno de los deudores de su señor, dijo al primero: ¿Cuánto debes a mi señor?
Therfor whanne alle the dettours of his lord weren clepid togider, he seide to the firste, Hou myche owist thou to my lord?
6 Y él dijo: Cien batos de aceite. Y le dijo: Toma tu obligación, y siéntate presto, y escribe cincuenta.
And he seide, An hundrid barelis of oyle. And he seide to hym, Take thi caucioun, and sitte soone, and write fifti.
7 Después dijo a otro: ¿Y tú, cuánto debes? Y él dijo: Cien coros de trigo. Y él le dijo: Toma tu obligación, y escribe ochenta.
Aftirward he seide to another, And hou myche owist thou? Which answerde, An hundrid coris of whete. And he seide to hym, Take thi lettris, and write foure scoore.
8 Y alabó el señor al mayordomo malo por haber hecho discretamente; porque los hijos de este siglo son en su generación más prudentes que los hijos de luz. (aiōn g165)
And the lord preiside the baili of wickydnesse, for he hadde do prudentli; for the sones of this world ben more prudent in her generacioun than the sones of liyt. (aiōn g165)
9 Y yo os digo: Haceos amigos con las riquezas de maldad, para que cuando éstas falten, seáis recibidos en las moradas eternas. (aiōnios g166)
And Y seie to you, make ye to you freendis of the ritchesse of wickidnesse, that whanne ye schulen fayle, thei resseyue you in to euerlastynge tabernaclis. (aiōnios g166)
10 El que es fiel en lo muy poco, también en lo más es fiel; y el que en lo muy poco es injusto, también en lo más es injusto.
He that is trewe in the leeste thing, is trewe also in the more; and he that is wickid in a litil thing, is wickid also in the more.
11 Pues si en las malas riquezas no fuisteis fieles. ¿Quién os confiará lo verdadero?
Therfor if ye weren not trewe in the wickid thing of ritchesse, who schal bitake to you that that is verry?
12 Y si en lo ajeno no fuisteis fieles, ¿quién os dará lo que es vuestro?
And if ye weren not trewe in othere mennus thing, who schal yyue to you that that is youre?
13 Ningún siervo puede servir a dos señores; porque o aborrecerá al uno y amará al otro, o se allegará al uno y menospreciará al otro. No podéis servir a Dios y a las riquezas.
No seruaunt may serue to twei lordis; for ether he schal hate `the toon, and loue the tothir; ethir he schal drawe to `the toon, and schal dispise the tothir. Ye moun not serue to God and to ritchesse.
14 Y oían también todas estas cosas los fariseos, los cuales eran avaros, y se burlaban de él.
But the Farisees, that weren coueytous, herden alle these thingis, and thei scorneden hym.
15 Y les dijo: Vosotros sois los que os justificáis a vosotros mismos delante de los hombres; pero Dios conoce vuestros corazones; porque lo que los hombres tienen por sublime, delante de Dios es abominación.
And he seide to hem, Ye it ben, that iustifien you bifor men; but God hath knowun youre hertis, for that that is hiy to men, is abhomynacioun bifor God.
16 La ley y los profetas hasta Juan; desde entonces el Reino de Dios es anunciado, y quienquiera se esfuerza a entrar en él.
The lawe and prophetis til to Joon; fro that tyme the rewme of God is euangelisid, and ech man doith violence in to it.
17 Pero más fácil cosa es pasar el cielo y la tierra, que frustrarse una tilde de la ley.
Forsothe it is liyter heuene and erthe to passe, than that o titil falle fro the lawe.
18 Cualquiera que repudia a su mujer, y se casa con otra, adultera; y el que se casa con la repudiada del marido, adultera.
Euery man that forsakith his wijf, and weddith an other, doith letcherie; and he that weddith the wijf forsakun of the hosebonde, doith auowtrie.
19 Había un hombre rico, que se vestía de púrpura y de lino fino, y hacía cada día banquete con esplendidez.
There was a riche man, and was clothid in purpur, and whit silk, and eete euery dai schynyngli.
20 Había también un mendigo llamado Lázaro, el cual estaba echado a la puerta de aquel, lleno de llagas,
And there was a begger, Lazarus bi name, that lai at his yate ful of bilis,
21 y deseando saciarse de las migajas que caían de la mesa del rico; y aun los perros venían y le lamían las llagas.
and coueitide to be fulfillid of the crummes, that fellen doun fro the riche mannus boord, and no man yaf to hym; but houndis camen, and lickiden hise bilis.
22 Y aconteció que murió el mendigo, y fue llevado por los ángeles al seno de Abraham; y murió también el rico, y fue sepultado.
And it was don, that the begger diede, and was borun of aungels in to Abrahams bosum. And the riche man was deed also,
23 Y en el infierno alzó sus ojos, estando en los tormentos, y vio a Abraham de lejos, y a Lázaro en su seno. (Hadēs g86)
and was biried in helle. And he reiside hise iyen, whanne he was in turmentis, and say Abraham afer, and Lazarus in his bosum. (Hadēs g86)
24 Entonces él, dando voces, dijo: Padre Abraham, ten misericordia de mí, y envía a Lázaro que moje la punta de su dedo en agua, y refresque mi lengua; porque soy atormentado en esta llama.
And he criede, and seide, Fadir Abraham, haue merci on me, and sende Lazarus, that he dippe the ende of his fyngur in watir, to kele my tunge; for Y am turmentid in this flawme.
25 Y le dijo Abraham: Hijo, acuérdate que recibiste tus bienes en tu vida, y Lázaro también males; mas ahora éste es consolado aquí, y tú atormentado.
And Abraham seide to hym, Sone, haue mynde, for thou hast resseyued good thingis in thi lijf, and Lazarus also yuel thingis; but he is now coumfortid, and thou art turmentid.
26 Y además de todo esto, una grande sima está constituida entre nosotros y vosotros, que los que quisieren pasar de aquí a vosotros, no pueden, ni de allá pasar a nosotros.
And in alle these thingis a greet derk place is stablischid betwixe vs and you; that thei that wolen fro hennus passe to you, moun not, nethir fro thennus passe ouer hidur.
27 Y dijo: Te ruego pues, padre, que le envíes a la casa de mi padre;
And he seide, Thanne Y preie thee, fadir, that thou sende hym in to the hous of my fadir.
28 porque tengo cinco hermanos; para que les testifique, para que no vengan ellos también a este lugar de tormento.
For Y haue fyue britheren, that he witnesse to hem, lest also thei come in to this place of turmentis.
29 Y Abraham le dice: A Moisés y a los profetas tienen; oigan a ellos.
And Abraham seide to him, Thei han Moyses and the prophetis; here thei hem.
30 El entonces dijo: No, padre Abraham; mas si alguno fuere a ellos de los muertos, se enmendarán.
And he seide, Nay, fadir Abraham, but if ony of deed men go to hem, thei schulen do penaunce.
31 Mas él le dijo: Si no oyen a Moisés y a los profetas, tampoco se persuadirán, si alguno se levantare de los muertos.
And he seide to hym, If thei heren not Moises and prophetis, nethir if ony of deed men rise ayen, thei schulen bileue to hym.
