2 Crónicas 35

1 Y Josías hizo pascua al SEÑOR en Jerusalén, y sacrificaron la pascua a los catorce del mes primero.

Josiah kept a Passover to Yahweh in Jerusalem. They killed the Passover on the fourteenth day of the first month.

2 Y puso a los sacerdotes en sus estancias, y los confirmó en el ministerio de la Casa del SEÑOR.

He set the priests in their offices and encouraged them in the service of Yahweh’s house.

3 Y dijo a los levitas que enseñaban a todo Israel, y que estaban dedicados al SEÑOR: Poned el arca del santuario en la Casa que edificó Salomón hijo de David, rey de Israel, para que no la carguéis más sobre los hombros. Ahora serviréis al SEÑOR vuestro Dios, y a su pueblo Israel.

He said to the Levites who taught all Israel, who were holy to Yahweh, “Put the holy ark in the house which Solomon the son of David king of Israel built. It will no longer be a burden on your shoulders. Now serve Yahweh your God and his people Israel.

4 Apercibíos según las familias de vuestros padres, por vuestros órdenes, conforme a la prescripción de David rey de Israel, y de Salomón su hijo.

Prepare yourselves after your fathers’ houses by your divisions, according to the writing of David king of Israel, and according to the writing of Solomon his son.

5 Estad en el santuario según el repartimiento de las familias de vuestros hermanos los hijos del pueblo, y según el repartimiento de la familia de los levitas.

Stand in the holy place according to the divisions of the fathers’ houses of your brothers the children of the people, and let there be for each a portion of a fathers’ house of the Levites.

6 Y sacrificad la pascua, y santificaos, y apercibid a vuestros hermanos, para que hagan conforme a la palabra del SEÑOR dada por mano de Moisés.

Kill the Passover lamb, sanctify yourselves, and prepare for your brothers, to do according to Yahweh’s word by Moses.”

7 Y ofreció el rey Josías a los del pueblo ovejas, corderos, y cabritos de los rebaños, en número de treinta mil, y tres mil bueyes, todo para la pascua, para todos los que se hallaron presentes; esto de la hacienda del rey.

Josiah gave to the children of the people, of the flock, lambs and young goats, all of them for the Passover offerings, to all who were present, to the number of thirty thousand, and three thousand bulls. These were of the king’s substance.

8 También sus príncipes ofrecieron con liberalidad al pueblo, y a los sacerdotes y levitas. Hilcías, Zacarías y Jehiel, príncipes de la Casa de Dios, dieron a los sacerdotes para hacer la pascua dos mil seiscientas ovejas, y trescientos bueyes.

His princes gave a free will offering to the people, to the priests, and to the Levites. Hilkiah, Zechariah, and Jehiel, the rulers of God’s house, gave to the priests for the Passover offerings two thousand six hundred small livestock, and three hundred head of cattle.

9 Asimismo Conanías, y Semeías y Natanael sus hermanos, y Hasabías, Jehiel, y Josabad, príncipes de los levitas, dieron a los levitas para los sacrificios de la pascua cinco mil ovejas, y quinientos bueyes.

Conaniah also, and Shemaiah and Nethanel, his brothers, and Hashabiah, Jeiel, and Jozabad, the chiefs of the Levites, gave to the Levites for the Passover offerings five thousand small livestock and five hundred head of cattle.

10 Aparejado así el servicio, los sacerdotes se pusieron en sus estancias, y asimismo los levitas en sus órdenes, conforme al mandamiento del rey.

So the service was prepared, and the priests stood in their place, and the Levites by their divisions, according to the king’s commandment.

11 Y sacrificaron la pascua; y esparcían los sacerdotes la sangre tomada de mano de los levitas, y los levitas desollaban.

They killed the Passover lambs, and the priests sprinkled the blood which they received from their hands, and the Levites skinned them.

12 Quitaron luego parte de los animales que tenían para el holocausto, para dar conforme a los repartimientos por las familias de los del pueblo, a fin de que ofreciesen al SEÑOR, según está escrito en el libro de Moisés: y asimismo quitaron de los bueyes.

They removed the burnt offerings, that they might give them according to the divisions of the fathers’ houses of the children of the people, to offer to Yahweh, as it is written in the book of Moses. They did the same with the cattle.

13 Y asaron la pascua al fuego según la costumbre; mas lo que había sido santificado lo cocieron en ollas, en calderos, y calderas, y lo repartieron prestamente a todo el pueblo.

They roasted the Passover with fire according to the ordinance. They boiled the holy offerings in pots, in cauldrons, and in pans, and carried them quickly to all the children of the people.

14 Y después aderezaron para sí y para los sacerdotes; porque los sacerdotes, hijos de Aarón, estuvieron ocupados hasta la noche en el sacrificio de los holocaustos y de los sebos; por tanto, los levitas aderezaron para sí, y para los sacerdotes hijos de Aarón.

Afterward they prepared for themselves and for the priests, because the priests the sons of Aaron were busy with offering the burnt offerings and the fat until night. Therefore the Levites prepared for themselves and for the priests the sons of Aaron.

15 Asimismo los cantores hijos de Asaf estaban en su estancia, conforme al mandamiento de David, de Asaf y de Hemán, y de Jedutún vidente del rey. Y los porteros estaban a cada puerta; y no era menester que se apartasen de su ministerio, porque sus hermanos los levitas aparejaban para ellos.

The singers, the sons of Asaph, were in their place, according to the commandment of David, Asaph, Heman, and Jeduthun the king’s seer; and the gatekeepers were at every gate. They didn’t need to depart from their service, because their brothers the Levites prepared for them.

16 Así fue aparejado todo el servicio del SEÑOR en aquel día, para hacer la pascua, y sacrificar los holocaustos sobre el altar del SEÑOR, conforme al mandamiento del rey Josías.

So all the service of Yahweh was prepared the same day, to keep the Passover, and to offer burnt offerings on Yahweh’s altar, according to the commandment of King Josiah.

17 Y los hijos de Israel que se hallaron presentes, hicieron la pascua en aquel tiempo, y la fiesta solemne de los panes sin levadura, por siete días.

The children of Israel who were present kept the Passover at that time, and the feast of unleavened bread seven days.

18 Nunca tal pascua fue hecha en Israel desde los días de Samuel el profeta; ni ningún rey de Israel hizo pascua tal como la que hizo el rey Josías, y los sacerdotes y levitas, y todo Judá e Israel, los que se hallaron presentes, juntamente con los moradores de Jerusalén.

There was no Passover like that kept in Israel from the days of Samuel the prophet, nor did any of the kings of Israel keep such a Passover as Josiah kept—with the priests, the Levites, and all Judah and Israel who were present, and the inhabitants of Jerusalem.

19 Esta pascua fue celebrada en el año dieciocho del rey Josías.

This Passover was kept in the eighteenth year of the reign of Josiah.

20 Después de todas estas cosas, luego de haber Josías preparado la Casa, Necao rey de Egipto subió a hacer guerra en Carquemis junto a Eufrates; y salió Josías contra él.

After all this, when Josiah had prepared the temple, Neco king of Egypt went up to fight against Carchemish by the Euphrates, and Josiah went out against him.

21 Y él le envió embajadores, diciendo: ¿Qué tenemos yo y tú, rey de Judá? Yo no vengo contra ti hoy, sino contra la casa que me hace guerra; y Dios dijo que me apresurase. Déjate de meterte con Dios, que es conmigo, no te destruya.

But he sent ambassadors to him, saying, “What have I to do with you, you king of Judah? I come not against you today, but against the house with which I have war. God has commanded me to make haste. Beware that it is God who is with me, that he not destroy you.”

22 Mas Josías no volvió su rostro de él, antes se disfrazó para darle batalla, y no escuchó las palabras de Necao, que eran de boca de Dios; y vino a darle la batalla en el campo de Meguido.

Nevertheless Josiah would not turn his face from him, but disguised himself, that he might fight with him, and didn’t listen to the words of Neco from the mouth of God, and came to fight in the valley of Megiddo.

23 Y los arqueros hirieron al rey Josías con una flecha; y dijo el rey a sus siervos: Quitadme de aquí, porque estoy herido gravemente.

The archers shot at King Josiah; and the king said to his servants, “Take me away, because I am seriously wounded!”

24 Entonces sus siervos lo quitaron de aquel carro, y lo pusieron en otro segundo carro que tenía, y lo llevaron a Jerusalén, y murió; y lo sepultaron en los sepulcros de sus padres. Y todo Judá y Jerusalén hizo duelo por Josías.

So his servants took him out of the chariot, and put him in the second chariot that he had, and brought him to Jerusalem; and he died, and was buried in the tombs of his fathers. All Judah and Jerusalem mourned for Josiah.

25 Y endechó Jeremías por Josías, y todos los cantores y cantoras recitan sus lamentaciones sobre Josías hasta hoy; y las han vuelto en ley en Israel, las cuales están escritas en las Lamentaciones.

Jeremiah lamented for Josiah, and all the singing men and singing women spoke of Josiah in their lamentations to this day; and they made them an ordinance in Israel. Behold, they are written in the lamentations.

26 Lo demás de los hechos de Josías, y sus misericordias, conforme a lo que está escrito en la ley del SEÑOR,

Now the rest of the acts of Josiah and his good deeds, according to that which is written in Yahweh’s law,

27 y sus hechos, primeros y postreros, he aquí todo está escrito en el libro de los reyes de Israel y de Judá.

and his acts, first and last, behold, they are written in the book of the kings of Israel and Judah.
