1 Crónicas 28

1 Y juntó David en Jerusalén a todos los principales de Israel, los príncipes de las tribus, y los príncipes de las cuadrillas, que servían al rey; y los tribunos y centuriones, con los príncipes de toda la hacienda y posesión de David, y sus hijos, con los eunucos, los poderosos, y todos los hombres valientes.

And David assembled all the princes of Israel, the princes of the tribes, and the captains of the divisions that ministered to the king, and the captains of the thousands, and the captains of the hundreds, and the rulers of all the property and the cattle of the king and of his sons, with the court-servants, and the mighty men, and with all the valiant men of the army, unto Jerusalem.

2 Y levantándose el rey David, puesto en pie dijo: Oídme, hermanos míos, y pueblo mío. Yo tenía en propósito edificar una Casa, para que en ella reposara el arca del pacto del SEÑOR, y para el estrado de los pies de nuestro Dios; y había ya aparejado todo para edificar.

Then arose king David upon his feet, and said, Hear me, my brethren, and my people! I had in my heart to build a house of rest for the ark of the covenant of the Lord, and for the footstool of our God, and I had made preparations to build;

3 Mas Dios me dijo: Tú no edificarás Casa a mi nombre; porque eres hombre de guerra, y has derramado sangre.

But God said unto me, Thou shalt not build a house unto my name; because thou art a man of war, and blood hast thou shed.

4 Pero el SEÑOR el Dios de Israel me eligió de toda la casa de mi padre, para que perpetuamente fuese rey sobre Israel; porque de Judá escogió el capitán; y de la casa de Judá la familia de mi padre; y de entre los hijos de mi padre en mí tomó contentamiento para ponerme por rey sobre todo Israel;

Yet the Lord the God of Israel made choice of me out of all the house of my father to be king over Israel for ever; for of Judah had he made choice as ruler, and among the house of Judah, of the house of my father; and among the sons of my father had he pleasure in me to make [me] king over all Israel:

5 y de todos mis hijos (porque el SEÑOR me ha dado muchos hijos, ) eligió a mi hijo Salomón para que él se siente en el trono del reino del SEÑOR sobre Israel.

And of all my sons, —for the Lord hath given me many sons, — hath he made choice of Solomon my son, to sit upon the throne of the kingdom of the Lord over Israel.

6 Y me dijo: Salomón tu hijo, él edificará mi Casa y mis atrios; porque a éste me he escogido por hijo, y yo le seré a él por padre.

And he hath said unto me, Solomon thy son it is that shall build my house and my courts; for I have made choice of him to be as a son unto me, and I will be indeed to him as a father.

7 Y yo confirmaré su reino para siempre, si él fuere esforzado para cumplir mis mandamientos y mis juicios, como en este día.

Moreover, I will firmly establish his kingdom for everlasting, if he be strong to execute my commandments and my ordinances as it is this day.

8 Ahora pues, delante de los ojos de todo Israel, congregación del SEÑOR, y en oídos de nuestro Dios, guardad y buscad todos los preceptos del SEÑOR vuestro Dios, para que poseáis la buena tierra, y la dejéis por heredad a vuestros hijos después de vosotros perpetuamente.

And now before the eyes of all Israel, the congregation of the Lord, and in the hearing of our God, [I admonish you] observe and seek for all the commandments of the Lord your God: in order that ye may keep possession of this good land, and leave it for an inheritance unto your children after you forever.

9 Y tú, Salomón, hijo mío, conoce al Dios de tu padre, y sírvele de corazón perfecto, y de ánimo voluntario; porque el SEÑOR escudriña los corazones de todos, y entiende toda imaginación de los pensamientos. Si tú le buscares, lo hallarás; mas si lo dejares, él te desechará para siempre.

And thou, Solomon my son, know thou the God of thy father, and serve him with an entire heart and with a willing soul; for all hearts doth the Lord search, and every imagination of the thoughts doth he understand; if thou seek him, he will let himself be found by thee; but if thou forsake him, he will cast thee off for ever.

10 Mira, pues, ahora que el SEÑOR te ha elegido para que edifiques casa para santuario; esfuérzate, y hazla.

See now that the Lord hath made choice of thee to build a house for the sanctuary: be strong and do it.

11 Y David dio a Salomón su hijo la traza del pórtico, y de sus casas, y de sus despensas, y de sus salas, y de sus recámaras de adentro, y de la Casa del propiciatorio.

Then gave David to Solomon his son the pattern of the porch, and of its apartments, and of its treasuries, and of upper chambers, and of its inner chambers, and of the place of the cover of the ark.

12 Asimismo la traza de todas las cosas que tenía en su voluntad, para los atrios de la Casa del SEÑOR, y para todas las cámaras en derredor, para los tesoros de la Casa de Dios, y para los tesoros de las cosas santificadas;

And the pattern of all that he had in his spirit, concerning the courts of the house of the Lord, and concerning all the chambers round about, concerning the treasuries of the house of God, and concerning the treasuries of the holy things:

13 también para los órdenes de los sacerdotes y de los levitas, y para toda la obra del ministerio de la Casa del SEÑOR, y para todos los vasos del ministerio de la Casa del SEÑOR.

Also concerning the divisions of the priests and the Levites, and concerning all the work of the service of the house of the Lord, and concerning all the vessels of service of the house of the Lord;

14 Y dio oro por peso para lo de oro, para todos los vasos de cada servicio; y plata por peso para todos los vasos, para todos los vasos de cada servicio.

Concerning the golden vessels, after the weight of the gold, for all the vessels of all manner of service; concerning all the vessels of silver after the weight, for all the vessels of every kind of service;

15 Oro por peso para los candeleros de oro, y para sus candilejas; por peso el oro para cada candelero y sus candilejas; y para los candeleros de plata, plata por peso para el candelero y sus candilejas, conforme al servicio de cada candelero.

Also the weight for the candlesticks of gold, and for their lamps of gold, after the weight for every candlestick, and for its lamps; and concerning the candlesticks of silver after the weight, for the candlestick, and for its lamps, according to the use of every candlestick;

16 Asimismo dio oro por peso para las mesas de la proposición, para cada mesa; del mismo modo plata para las mesas de plata.

And the gold after the weight for the tables of the rows of shewbread, for every table; and the silver for the tables of silver;

17 También oro puro para los garfios y para las bacines, y para los incensarios, y para los tazones de oro, para cada tazón por peso; asimismo para los tazones de plata, por peso para cada tazón.

Also [concerning] the forks, and the bowls, and the supporters of pure gold; and concerning the golden cups after the weight for every cup; and concerning the silver cups after the weight for every cup;

18 Además, oro puro por peso para el altar del incienso; asimismo para la imagen del carro de los querubines de oro, que con las alas extendidas cubrían el arca del pacto del SEÑOR.

And concerning the altar of incense the refined gold after the weight; and concerning the pattern of the chariot of the golden cherubim, which spread out [their wings], and over the ark of the covenant of the Lord.

19 Todas estas cosas por escrito de la mano del SEÑOR que fue sobre mí, dijo David, y me hizo entender todas las obras del diseño.

All [this, said David, ] was put in writing from the hand of the Lord, who gave me instruction [respecting] all the works of the pattern.

20 Dijo más David a Salomón su hijo: Anímate y esfuérzate, y ponlo por obra; no temas, ni desmayes, porque el SEÑOR Dios, mi Dios, será contigo; él no te dejará, ni te desamparará, hasta que acabes toda la obra del servicio de la casa del SEÑOR.

And David said to Solomon his son, Be strong, and of good courage, and do [the work]; fear not, and be not dismayed; for the Lord God, [yea, ] my God is with thee: he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee, until thou have finished all the work for the service of the house of the Lord.

21 He aquí los órdenes de los sacerdotes y de los levitas, en todo el ministerio de la Casa de Dios, serán contigo en toda la obra; todos voluntarios, con sabiduría en todo ministerio; asimismo los príncipes y todo el pueblo para ejecutar todas tus órdenes.

And, behold, the divisions of the priests and the Levites are there for all the service of the house of God; and with thee are in all manner of workmanship all kinds of men distinguished in wisdom, for every manner of service; and the princes and all the people are ready [to obey] all thy words.
