Salmos 12

1 Al Músico principal: sobre Seminith: Salmo de David. SALVA, oh Jehová, porque se acabaron los misericordiosos: porque se han acabado los fieles de entre los hijos de los hombres.

To the chief Musician. Upon Sheminith. A Psalm of David. Save, Jehovah, for the godly man is gone; for the faithful have failed from among the children of men.

2 Mentira habla cada uno con su prójimo; con labios lisonjeros, con corazón doble hablan.

They speak falsehood every one with his neighbour: [with] flattering lip, with a double heart, do they speak.

3 Destruirá Jehová todos los labios lisonjeros, la lengua que habla grandezas;

Jehovah will cut off all flattering lips, the tongue that speaketh proud things,

4 Que dijeron: Por nuestra lengua prevaleceremos; nuestros labios están con nosotros: ¿quién nos es señor?

Who have said, With our tongue will we prevail, our lips are our own: who [is] lord over us?

5 Por la opresión de los pobres, por el gemido de los menesterosos, ahora me levantaré, dice Jehová: pondrélos en salvo del que contra ellos se engríe.

Because of the oppression of the afflicted, because of the sighing of the needy, now will I arise, saith Jehovah, I will set [him] in safety, at whom they puff.

6 Las palabras de Jehová, palabras limpias; plata refinada en horno de tierra, purificada siete veces.

The words of Jehovah are pure words, silver tried in the furnace of earth, purified seven times.

7 Tú, Jehová, los guardarás; guárdalos para siempre de aquesta generación.

Thou, Jehovah, wilt keep them, thou wilt preserve them from this generation for ever.

8 Cercando andan los malos, mientras son exaltados los más viles de los hijos de los hombres.

The wicked walk about on every side, when vileness is exalted among the children of men.
