1 Pedro 5
1 RUEGO á los ancianos que están entre vosotros, yo anciano [también] con ellos, y testigo de las aflicciones de Cristo, que soy también participante de la gloria que ha de ser revelada:
Elders who [are] among you, I exhort, who [am] a fellow-elder, and a witness of the sufferings of the Christ, and of the glory about to be revealed a partaker,
2 Apacentad la grey de Dios que está entre vosotros, teniendo cuidado [de ella], no por fuerza, sino voluntariamente; no por ganancia deshonesta, sino de un ánimo pronto;
feed the flock of God that [is] among you, overseeing not constrainedly, but willingly, neither for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind,
3 Y no como teniendo señorío sobre las heredades [del Señor], sino siendo dechados de la grey.
neither as exercising lordship over the heritages, but patterns becoming of the flock,
4 Y cuando apareciere el Príncipe de los pastores, vosotros recibiréis la corona incorruptible de gloria.
and at the manifestation of the chief Shepherd, ye shall receive the unfading crown of glory.
5 Igualmente, mancebos, sed sujetos á los ancianos; y todos sumisos unos á otros, revestíos de humildad; porque Dios resiste á los soberbios, y da gracia á los humildes.
In like manner, ye younger, be subject to elders, and all to one another subjecting yourselves; with humble-mindedness clothe yourselves, because God the proud doth resist, but to the humble He doth give grace;
6 Humillaos pues bajo la poderosa mano de Dios, para que él os ensalce cuando fuere tiempo;
be humbled, then, under the powerful hand of God, that you He may exalt in good time,
7 Echando toda vuestra solicitud en él, porque él tiene cuidado de vosotros.
all your care having cast upon Him, because He careth for you.
8 Sed templados, y velad; porque vuestro adversario el diablo, cual león rugiente, anda alrededor buscando á quien devore:
Be sober, vigilant, because your opponent the devil, as a roaring lion, doth walk about, seeking whom he may swallow up,
9 Al cual resistid firmes en la fe, sabiendo que las mismas aflicciones han de ser cumplidas en la compañía de vuestros hermanos que están en el mundo.
whom resist, stedfast in the faith, having known the same sufferings to your brotherhood in the world to be accomplished.
10 Mas el Dios de toda gracia, que nos ha llamado á su gloria eterna por Jesucristo, después que hubiereis un poco de tiempo padecido, él mismo os perfeccione, confirme, corrobore y establezca. (aiōnios g166)
And the God of all grace, who did call you to His age-during glory in Christ Jesus, having suffered a little, Himself make you perfect, establish, strengthen, settle [you]; (aiōnios g166)
to Him [is] the glory, and the power — to the ages and the ages! Amen. (aiōn g165)
12 Por Silvano, el hermano fiel, según yo pienso, os he escrito brevemente, amonestándo[os], y testificando que ésta es la verdadera gracia de Dios, en la cual estáis.
Through Silvanus, to you the faithful brother, as I reckon, through few [words] I did write, exhorting and testifying this to be the true grace of God in which ye have stood.
13 La [iglesia] que está en Babilonia, juntamente elegida con vosotros, os saluda, y Marcos mi hijo.
Salute you doth the [assembly] in Babylon jointly elected, and Markus my son.
14 Saludaos unos á otros con ósculo de caridad. Paz sea con todos vosotros los que estáis en Jesucristo. Amén.
Salute ye one another in a kiss of love; peace to you all who [are] in Christ Jesus! Amen.
